Now that is some attention to detail.
Many people wondering about the noise bothering neighbors, the volume is broadcasted over a specific radio frequency. So the neighbors don't hear anything usually unless if they tune in to that specific radio frequency.

When I mentioned being a neighbor I wasn't even thinking about the music. I highly doubt that would be blasted in there neighborhood. IT All THE LIGHTS !!!!!! 😂😂😉 it would be amazing but then after about 2 hours I would go crazy 😳😟
Nope they can hear it, there’s speakers. The whole court is blocked so you can’t park so you stand in the cold and watch it. I went to his shows
He can still have speakers in the Yard. I do and im on Radio freq. 88.7 fm.

And the debugging and checking everything is in sync. And all the cost of equipment he is probably running it off a very powerful and fast pc that can calculate when to turn on individual bulbs one by one. And it does it in sequences too.
Easier than you think. I run mine from a $150 laptop. But I love this sequence. Some are better than others and this is on the good side!

My first attempt at this this year, I started back in November Last year with no clue how to go on with it, Finished building a porch today that will house my workings, it was this or about 64 wires (8 bunches of 8), going from the loft to the outside, with the porch its just two leads, power and internet connection. i have so much respect to the guys who do this, more so now i know how much effort it takes.
I never saw Metallica in concert, but I thoroughly enjoyed the light show, especially the pumpkins. It was just awesome.

They mega rich. They own a Tesla Model 3 and a $100,000 Corvette
Not as bad as you might think. The lights aren't on 24/7, and they are DC, not AC. For example, a single spider is about 120 pixel. At FULL power showing white each pixel uses 0.06Amps, that's about 6.2Amp per Spider at 12V. That's only 74 watts. He can run all 16 spiders under 10Amp AC (give or take). That's only if they are at FULL brightness and white. Most WS2811 pixels are bright enough to run at 30% at night, and you'll notice he's never at full white. I would be surprised if his electric bill is more than $20/month additional for this.

The shows have a gap of 15 to 15 min during 2-3 hour only for a few days near hallowen, and the song can only be heard if you tune on a fm vacancy channel that they use. Its very polite actually hehe.

There's a guy that lives near me who's friends with my uncle who does this and he has his own transmitter for FM frequencies. He transmits the songs that the lights are programmed to on his frequency so that you can listen to them and watch the lights simultaneously without keeping all the neighbours awake.
There is a house in Minnesota that does this too, but for Christmas. We always manage to be in the neighborhood at least once every Christmas
Same thing with the one at arizona i went to for christmas, they had a light show but it was connected to a station that you can tune into so their neighbours wouldnt be able to hear unless you goto the specific station
