The show really needed a new direction. The last few years featured tired jokes and little new ideas. She could have given them a lot of new storylines.
Sheldon's biggest challenge is that he doesn't like to hit it at all that much, maybe just slightly above not at all. He requires a special unique woman. A brainiac with amazing powers of tolerance and low boinking needs herself. I initially thought Ramona Nowittzki was the perfect woman for him. Smart. Worshipped him. Pretty in an odd way that complemented Sheldon. They'd make a pretty nice looking couple. But you can tell that filly needs/requires to be ridden hard. She can put all kinds of nonsense, except if Sheldon wasn't going to hit that all day long.
I highly doubt Ramona has what it takes to date a Sheldon Cooper. Sure she is smart, beautiful, and worships him but let's not forget she is also easily triggered by his antics and even stops Sheldon from having fun. She manipulates Sheldon and isolates him from his friends just to get what she wants. It's what makes Sheldon feels 'off' with her - she isn't helping him, she is only using and owning him, and that's not love, not even friendship. They were really enjoying time together and could've been friends, too bad she didn't have the patience and respect to deserve Sheldon's close friends list, never mind take Amy's spot.

I get the joke and it's funny. But this also makes sense on a more serious character level. Someone who shares all the same interests with Sheldon and is similarly competent wouldn't work with him, it threatens his massive superiority complex. E.g. when Sheldon asks someone a difficult question he usually doesn't want to hear the answer, he wants to lecture them (see Priya and the toast, Howard when he took Sheldon's course and the grad students when he gave a lecture).
This is such a killer scene! 🤣 A smart and irresistibly pretty, thus at first glance absolutely perfect lady that you get a crush on within one tenth of a second, and then the Sheldon-effect! 🤣 All good things must come to an end, and The Big Bang Theory can't make an exception there, but man! The show really needed a new direction. The last few years featured tired jokes and little new ideas. She could have given them a lot of new storylines.

Sheldon's biggest challenge is that he doesn't like to hit it at all that much, maybe just slightly above not at all. He requires a special unique woman. A brainiac with amazing powers of tolerance and low boinking needs herself. I initially thought Ramona Nowittzki was the perfect woman for him. Smart. Worshipped him. Pretty in an odd way that complemented Sheldon. They'd make a pretty nice looking couple. But you can tell that filly needs/requires to be ridden hard. She can put all kinds of nonsense, except if Sheldon wasn't going to hit that all day long.
I highly doubt Ramona has what it takes to date a Sheldon Cooper. Sure she is smart, beautiful, and worships him but let's not forget she is also easily triggered by his antics and even stops Sheldon from having fun. She manipulates Sheldon and isolates him from his friends just to get what she wants. It's what makes Sheldon feels 'off' with her - she isn't helping him, she is only using and owning him, and that's not love, not even friendship. They were really enjoying time together and could've been friends, too bad she didn't have the patience and respect to deserve Sheldon's close friends list, never mind take Amy's spot.
😂❤The way Big Bang Theory 😍Meg Ryan-esque showed up at his apt on Craigs and not a coffee shop says a lot. I would've loved to have seen them in a first date and Sheldon come home to say everything went perfect but she was 40 seconds late or something like that. People have suddenly started comparing her to Amy, yes she is much prettier and less socially awkward than Amy, but let's face it these drawbacks are the reason Amy stayed with Sheldon for that long in the first place, I don't think this pretty girl would have lasted at all with Sheldon, he drives people around him insane and Amy is the only one desperate enough to stay with him.
This is one of only two girls who was ever interested in Sheldon from the start. The other was not Amy.

My gosh, she is the perfect girl for Sheldon. Beautiful, smart, tall, and have the same interest as him. ❤ Sorry to all Shamy fans, but Sheldon could've been happier with this girl if he only met her first. Amy is only good because she is patient with Sheldon, but aside from that, they are like Raj and Emily. A totally different people.
Sheldon didn't deserve her or Amy, but at least as far as the series world in concerned, this girl will have no trouble finding someone else. Amy however might have been single forever without Sheldon since she is a "loser".

However apparently not immune to being questioned. Point is Penny and Bernadetta are the type to experience popularity, have lots of friends, get invited to parties. That's the opposite of what they went for when making Amy. She is more like the guys in that she is an outcast.

I get the joke and it's funny. But this also makes sense on a more serious character level. Someone who shares all the same interests with Sheldon and is similarly competent wouldn't work with him, it threatens his massive superiority complex. E.g. when Sheldon asks someone a difficult question he usually doesn't want to hear the answer, he wants to lecture them (see Priya and the toast, Howard when he took Sheldon's course and the grad students when he gave a lecture).
