I’m a middle aged man and I’m crying my eyes out over this series ending. Jax smiling, arms out. Way to emotional during this last year of craziness. This song is quite simply incredible. What a show.

I've watched the show twice now and I cried both times. It went from a show I couldn't get into, to being my favourite and one ill always remember. I've been gutted when a show ends, but this hits differently. It's like a mixture, happiness he finally got his boys out of it all, but sad that he had to die and not get to see his sons grow and his club thrive. Overall just gutted it's over as I find it extremely tough to get into shows but when I do, they usually hit deep. Yes, before the keyboard warriors start, I'm fully aware it's just a show so you can sod off with your pointless comments before you type them.
When I hear this song... all I'm seeing is Opie, Piney, Tara, Donna, and everyone else that Jax was close to... and with his arms wide open on his father's bike and a smile on his face... he joins them. Deep.
sorry to say this but am i the only one who think that jax became opie in the end instead of becoming his father , yeah he sat on his father's bike and drove himself into a truck but , first off all , his father was killed , second of all , he failed at keeping his kids safe , he got em both killed in the end , jax never truly became his father to me , way more like opie , opie tied up all loose ends and made peace with everybody around him , sacrificed himself and got it right by truly keeping his kids safe jax did all the exact same things , even saying the same last words , both smiling cuz they found true peace , his father john never had or did those things , alot of people say that with that last smile he understood what his father did , i think it was more like a '' i got it right '' smile and said to himself , im not my old man , i got it right , this whole he became his father in the end thing doesnt make alot of sense to me , opie and jax was the true story of this show , not his father and jax , they where completely different , he truly did join them all , im gonna say something crazy but i think in the end , his father was the enemy and opie showed him the right path

SOA was so brilliantly written. Never in my life has a show captivated me the way SOA did. Thankful for Hulu so I can still watch this show. It still tears me apart when Opie dies, then Tara, and Jax. I wanted so bad to hate Gemma but I couldn't. This show felt like family to me. Kurt Sutter made me feel like I was apart of the SAMCRO family. Silly I know but I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Thank you Kurt for SOA, I saw a piece of your soul in this Show, so remarkable and beautifully written.
I just finished rewatching SoA, all the 7 seasons, for the first time yesterday! I must say that I feel just exactly the same way you are feeling. I still feel that I'm a part of the SAMCRO family. I agree with everything you said. Only difference is that I could really hate Gemma a lot. Hahaha. SoA is such an outstanding show that made me learn so much about so many things

This song hits hard. Lost my grandfather who raised me since birth, in 2021. My daughter is 11 and was very close to him. She heard this song and started tearing up. Music really is amazing. It can mean so many different things to different people. Love White Buffalo.
Someone I loved died from an anoxic brain injury after cardiac arrest. This was one of his favorite songs. He was an organ donor. We played this on our walk to the OR.

Excellent ending with this excellent song. Jax has found the peace in himself and has saved his kids of his life. His father couldnt do it, he has been able. Brillant tv movie. Cant stop listening the song and remembering all the characters.,
For those who didn't know, a group of crows is called a murder. Just found this out a couple of days ago. This show by far has had the best symbolism throughout every season, even in this last song sadly ending it.
The finale was a metaphor placing Jax as "Jesus" and his sacrifice to save his club & family. Note also the reference to the crow as Judas in the song. And an allusion to the crow as Satan, whispering in the song. In the episode, notice the crows following him at the end, and "his" fly toward "heaven".
I have to tell you, I'm so glad to know that. This has literally been my go to song over the years when things get a little dark, and i didn't quiet get it, now it makes perfect sense🙂 so thank you🙏
Amazing. Played this at my mum's funeral just over a year ago. We used to watch SoA together, every day we watched a couple episodes until we watched them all. Then we watched them again a few months later. Final scene made so much more emotional because of this incredible song.

Sons of Anarchy. What a show! I waited until last year to see it from the start. I have since watched it four times over. Every time, I pick up something different I missed from the previous viewing. This series was well thought out and with the help of real life persons who lived 'the life', the series did outstanding. I remember sitting in another room when someone was watching this show when it first aired, and when I heard this song start up (I had not even looked at the TV) the song gave me goosebumps. I had to walk out of that friend's house until that last episode was done. But I never thought I would wake up a whole house (including kids) when I finally put two and two together when the scene played out when I sat back to watch it for the first time. It is bad enough when you have a loved one laying next to you (that was tired from a long day of work) and all of a sudden, blubbering me cries like a baby when...well, everyone who has seen the series knows what I mean. But for those that have not seen it, I will NOT give it away. Looking forward to Mayans MC. Bring back the great shows like this, Kurt Sutter. We fans are longing for Abel & Thomas' one too!

Been giving this some thought for like 20 minutes or so, and I still can't think of a better song to end the show. I remember watching Jax on his bike and hearing this, I found myself having flashbacks of every season. It was a sad ending. Sad but brilliant

I followed all seasons of SOA since 2008 and i didn't see the last episode in 2014 because i somehow want to keep it sacred. During the pandemic, i start to rewatch the whole series and after 7 years, get to finish the very last episode.. I have no words but i cried and i cried,, for jax, for the man he is and the memories i have watching the epic SOA. thank you Kurt and gang!

I collect complete dvd/blue ray disc's of series. Yeah that's a bit old fashioned, but at least you never have to worry about it leaving a streaming service and no commercials of any kind.
Cry every time I see this scene. Jax tried so hard to get out but once he lost her he lost himself. At the end his conversation with Nero is what got me. I'm not a good person, I'm a criminal, I want my sons to grow up hating the thought of me. He was honest.

Goosebumps, tears, happiness, sadness... This song has everything. It's great in its own right but also SOA used songs in the most perfect situations and this was the pinnacle of that. Awesome, absolutely love it!

I'm not totally sure the inspiration for this song and I don't care, it's the authors choice, but I feel like it can be applied to a lot of people's different hardships. I was an alcoholic myself and would occasionally listen to this and realize what damage I was doing to myself, how the whiskey would "sing" to me and one day it didn't anymore. Where I live, we have a pretty good size murder stop by every so often. This must be a meetup point, or a convergence of magnetic lines or something, because they come from all directions and congregate in the trees for awhile, and then they all fly off together. It's a sight to behold. They say if you feed crows they'll remember you. They recognize human faces. I've fed crows all over the country. Kurt Sutter really nailed it with Sons. That's the last tv show that I actually watched as it aired, every week, for the full run. Everything was A+, the writing, the acting, the carachters... The works. Plus, it reminded me of actual folks I know.

The references to Martin Luther and Pericles in the song.. Martin Luther brought liberation to religion but it still eventually ends up being a failed/manipulated system. Pericles brought democracy into government but still the system fails and those in power keep power from the people. I think at the end Jackson has that revelation that Samcro/Anarchism/Outlaw life initially brought that freedom from all those societal things (see Emma Goldman and John Teller quotes at end) but in the end it still becomes just another system of constraint. "The crow no longer sings to me.." In the end, I think he is glad to have the revelation and thus break free from THAT outlaw system, both willing to die to keep his sons from being trapped in it, but also still willing to die to preserve the MC and his brothers that are still caught in that system. The MC couldn't deliver the true freedom he and others sought from it, but in the final revelation of THAT fact, I think he DID get to taste that liberation. Quotes from 1x4, John Teller talking about how the ‘crow first sang to him’… but ultimately he learned….: “The first time I read Emma Goldman, it wasn’t in a book. I was 16. I was hiking near the Nevada border. The quote was painted on a wall in red. When I saw those words, it was like someone ripped them from the inside of my head. “Anarchism stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion and liberation of the human body from the coercion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government. It stands for a social order based on the free grouping of individuals.” The concept was pure, simple, true. It inspired me. Lit a rebellious fire. But ultimately I learned a lesson that Goldman, Proudhon, and the others learned: That true freedom requires sacrifice and pain. Most human beings only think they want freedom. I found this song like a lot of people through soa. Since then though it's gone beyond that. It calms and centers me. I am thankful for finding it. It has helped me so many times. For me it's a prime example of the healing power of music.

But I had are 5 yr old to try to not show him how lonely and scarred and now he's starting to ask the questions a and a father would have.... Hell all I know is this loss of 3 of 5 members of your family its cruel each day is started knowing I'm all he has got too be strong and each night I feel each and every broken shattered soul shattering pain I don't get too talk about cause some way some how those who never lived a sec in my shoes come up with a time where your no longer completely and totally full hearted broken and some of those shattered shared that once made me the happiest now makes me want the day to come when I get to see 2 of my baby And husband and hope to God I somehow raised my son to not have to see me at a moment weakness and think I don't care about him cause I've never been a guy so how am I supposed to answer questions the right way... He's my everything but I'm living a daily pain And missing them . I'm so tired of this pain and loneliness cause I'll never find another person too love without always worrying . For those who didn't know, a group of crows is called a murder. Just found this out a couple of days ago. This show by far has had the best symbolism throughout every season, even in this last song sadly ending it.
The finale was a metaphor placing Jax as "Jesus" and his sacrifice to save his club & family. Note also the reference to the crow as Judas in the song. And an allusion to the crow as Satan, whispering in the song. In the episode, notice the crows following him at the end, and "his" fly toward "heaven".

Amazing. Played this at my mum's funeral just over a year ago. We used to watch SoA together, every day we watched a couple episodes until we watched them all. Then we watched them again a few months later.

Sons of Anarchy. What a show! I waited until last year to see it from the start. I have since watched it four times over. Every time, I pick up something different I missed from the previous viewing. This series was well thought out and with the help of real life persons who lived 'the life', the series did outstanding. I remember sitting in another room when someone was watching this show when it first aired, and when I heard this song start up (I had not even looked at the TV) the song gave me goosebumps. I had to walk out of that friend's house until that last episode was done. But I never thought I would wake up a whole house (including kids) when I finally put two and two together when the scene played out when I sat back to watch it for the first time. It is bad enough when you have a loved one laying next to you (that was tired from a long day of work) and all of a sudden, blubbering me cries like a baby when...well, everyone who has seen the series knows what I mean. But for those that have not seen it, I will NOT give it away. Looking forward to Mayans MC. Bring back the great shows like this, Kurt Sutter. We fans are longing for Abel & Thomas' one too!

During the pandemic, i start to rewatch the whole series and after 7 years, get to finish the very last episode.. I collect complete dvd/blue ray disc's of series. Yeah that's a bit old fashioned, but at least you never have to worry about it leaving a streaming service and no commercials of any kind.
Cry every time I see this scene. Jax tried so hard to get out but once he lost her he lost himself. At the end his conversation with Nero is what got me. I'm not a good person, I'm a criminal, I want my sons to grow up hating the thought of me. He was honest.

I'm not totally sure the inspiration for this song and I don't care, it's the authors choice, but I feel like it can be applied to a lot of people's different hardships. I was an alcoholic myself and would occasionally listen to this and realize what damage I was doing to myself, how the whiskey would "sing" to me and one day it didn't anymore. Where I live, we have a pretty good size murder stop by every so often. This must be a meetup point, or a convergence of magnetic lines or something, because they come from all directions and congregate in the trees for awhile, and then they all fly off together. It's a sight to behold. They say if you feed crows they'll remember you. They recognize human faces. I've fed crows all over the country. Kurt Sutter really nailed it with Sons. That's the last tv show that I actually watched as it aired, every week, for the full run. Everything was A+, the writing, the acting, the carachters... The works. Plus, it reminded me of actual folks I know.

The references to Martin Luther and Pericles in the song..
Martin Luther brought liberation to religion but it still eventually ends up being a failed/manipulated system. Pericles brought democracy into government but still the system fails and those in power keep power from the people. I think at the end Jackson has that revelation that Samcro/Anarchism/Outlaw life initially brought that freedom from all those societal things (see Emma Goldman and John Teller quotes at end) but in the end it still becomes just another system of constraint. "The crow no longer sings to me.."
In the end, I think he is glad to have the revelation and thus break free from THAT outlaw system, both willing to die to keep his sons from being trapped in it, but also still willing to die to preserve the MC and his brothers that are still caught in that system.
The MC couldn't deliver the true freedom he and others sought from it, but in the final revelation of THAT fact, I think he DID get to taste that liberation.
