    With regards to the Greyscale coloring books, I have personally looked into this and yes there are professional coloring books such as the "Coloring Heaven" series of books and the Greyscale can be very dark on a number of pages, The problem arises when the majority of Amazon customers are not even hobby colorists and may not even have the correct pens and markers for the intended niche and will give very bad reviews when expectations are not met in the customers eyes when infact the coloring book is correct for it's intended market, which is why personally I would not consider spending time producing a Greyscale coloring book because it will just get bad reviews from the uneducated customers that know no better as they lack the knowledge or experience not a fault of theirs but it is frustrating not being able to enter this market for this simple fact.

      I wanted to write the same and I'm glad you did it first. Grayscale is great indicator of shading and yes, if you're using poor quality pencils, then you wont be able to color the page. But even cheapest markers would do just fine, leaving you with nicely shaded image without too much effort.

      My thoughts as well! Shows that there should be a market for adult coloring book classes and tutorials! There's lots of relaxing drawing tutorials out there, an adult coloring book tutorial in a similar format would be popular! ^^

      OR, you col simply put this in your book description. Something like "This is NOT a beginner level coloring book. This Book is aimed at more advanced hobbyists with a deeper understanding of the use of Grey Scale art...."

    This is definitely one of the videos that I needed. Darkness in the coloring pages is definitely something that I've been struggling with. I've even scrapped a few of my pages because of darkness. I didn't know how to fix it, so I appreciate this, thank you. I've upscaled on bigjpg for some images, but now that I zoom in on some of my other pages, I have a lot to fix with the blurriness. Thank you for this video!

    • @jeffreycrain1605
      @jeffreycrain1605 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You should consider running Amazon ads to increase ranking and get visibility to your book. New books Amazon helps you publish and put in front of people for up to maybe 30 days, then that is it.
      Because you had over 100 sales in 1 day that says people like your book and are willing to buy it!
      Even spending 4 to 5 cents a day to start with at a $1.00 or $2.00 per day ads campaign will help Amazon to get your book in front of more people. As you make more sales increase by only 2 or 3 cents a day to see where the sweet spot in advertising is...if sales stop or really decline consider going back down 2 or 3 cents and monitor your sales again till you hit that sweet spot again in sales....just and idea to consider. Sales increase rankings!

      Danny explains the part on how not to get in trouble, but if you are thinking you have special ownership of the stuff you generate, in the US it does not appear so, no, so anyone can copy your art later. If you start making changes to it, it might be a gray area, but you are in a business where you probably just need to live with that happening - it is probably not worth trying to do much, other than report to amazon etc.

    • @techcowgirl5393
      @techcowgirl5393 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You must have a MJ Pro Account and it's a good idea to get the Privacy add on so your created images are not shown in the public gallery. Reading the fine print on MJ, you have the full copyright to your images as long as you have a Pro Account and the right to publish them where you want to. Without that level of account, you don't hold the rights on the images, and without the privacy add-on then everyone else can see what you have made and save it and use it themselves. To date, there hasn't been any court case I've heard of that specifically targetted MJ in such a sweeping way as to make it illegal to use the generated imagery in any country let alone worldwide. All that is currently there is some court cases by some groups of artists that haven't been settled yet. It's currently the Wild West out there.

      @@DannyOnDemand I did I spent 12 hours researching these laws and fair US laws and have looked at copyright laws before, I also just reread them and you own all assets subject to law ( note it does not say copyright although copyright can be an asset, normally when its copyright they just say copyright so I'd be cautious of the wording here.) if you buy their service, and unless it's changed in the last couple of weeks US law says you cannot copyright AI unless substantial changes have been made. When I read that substantial changes pretty much changed it. UK Law states you can. And the EU if there's some human intervention can be copyrighted. Most ai art I've seen being sold seems to only have cleanup on them so no real intervention. It's a tad ambiguous but would need to be a reasonable amount. So if you input a command and output work and clean it up, that would not constitute substantial human intellectual input. This isn't subject to Midjourney terms its subject to where you live and your country's laws when you create the art first. At least in the UK where UK law trumps US law under copyright cloud law.

      Thanks for your awesome detailed response Fay. I really appreciate it when people take the time to do the research. Your info had definitely provided more guidance on different countries laws. That is the one market I don't like. AI color books, I understand you use AI-generated photos, but selling is completely different. Also, I don't think these coloring books sell very well. I like to do keyword research, and research shows me that numbers are low and the market seems to be saturated. Well, you can sell, but you have to find a very low comp keyword.

    Stop using AI because it steals the work of artists :/
