We always stay in Puerto de la Cruz for a month. However we visit El Medano (pronounced with a short a) once during our stay for the Saturday market on the main square. We also drive down there on our last day for lunch at El Timon overlooking the sea before heading on to the airport. It means we are not rushing and have no problems with time if there are any hold ups on the TF1.
