- There are three car parks to choose from, the one I was in is the closest to the Pennine Way. Literally look forwards and you will see the path to follow. Head to Couldrens Snout, cross the bridge and follow the track to the left. Follow this path until you see the sign pointing into the moors. This is the last leg of the walk. Very boggy in the moors so be careful. You will then start to see the side wall of the valley, it looks closer than what is it. Once there take your time and take it all in. Same route to get back.
I do apologise for the audio in my video, I couldn't believe i dropped my mic in a puddle straight away.

Wow... That's stunning!
Great video, I need to get myself up there.

Nice one mate. Me and my wife Lisa have just done 3 nights whiled camping up and around the lakes great fun. Keep them coming there great videos. 👍
Thanks, I love the lakes. Iv not been since covid started.
Great video wow what a great place 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wonderful place. Literally the whole area is a dream.
Totally enjoyed that. I've done high-cup:nick 'bout 50 times every which way but loose, I bust a 1lt uht carton of milk, in my pack, on a local wild camp; I turned around and walked an hour and a half back home.😂
Never! that sounds like a nightmare, Iv had similar experiences nothing worse than something leaking on your kit.
Great video mate. Hope you.got round to.buying your cooker with.ignition )
Great video ✌🏼
thank you
Awesome video==new friend here
Thanks and welcome
the hole in the wall of the dam is to let water out from the reservoir on days of drought to keep the river tees flowing mate.iv done that walk hundreds of times great views.
lovely walk mate.
Cracking video mate. Walked that before but not camped it.
definitely worth a camp, waking up to that view is mint.
Enjoyed that. I wish I was still fit enough to walk the distances. Can you camp anywhere near the car parks?
Iv always arrived late and left early. I only really camp up on the peaks.
I wouldn't recommend camping near car parks camp out of sight and in places that people can't easily get to
There is a campsite in the village of Dufton - that’s where we walked from which is another route to high cup nick.
Great video, looks like your local to me! I can recommend the all trails app there’s loads of nice local walks on there - plus further afield.
Cool, thanks!
Sorry I did chuckle abit when you said you forget your lighter, yeh stove with ignition, your dog could of had the food, keep the videos coming just come back from pooley bridge believe me I had too much gear
I go up that way quite allot. Iv got all the gear for ultra light but i fancied abit of luxury this time ha.
Just past 11 minutes in the video and the dog has had enough of camping!
Dont take her out anymore now getting too old. Not the same without her there.
Good video sorry you had no food 😥 it is actually illegal to camp anywhere in britain 😬
Thanks for watching
