    you're literally enabling people to give their pets better enclosures. a lot of us cannot afford the nice backgrounds with ledges but making it from scratch is so much more affordable. and with all of the design options, we can make better backgrounds than the ones sold online for $400usd

    I love this, could you do a video on something like this that is fully removable? I’ve made two other pieces but would love a full background that I can take out

    Just wondering how the platforms go with holding heat? I want to build a few for our snakes and want to make sure basking spots will hit the temps I need for them safely plus trying to keep the snakes away from the cages as much as possible haha i absolutely love your builds and soooo happy it’s actual products we use here in Aust as well! Makes life easier with Bunnings haha

    • @ReptileWay
      @ReptileWay หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thanks for the message.
      The platforms (if you build following instructions used in the videos) can withstand basking spots up to 50 degrees Celsius.
      Before you put your animal in, temperature test for a couple of days (cool side, hot side, basking spot).
      You can alter the design to Incorporate platforms and caves to be a further distance from cage.
      Goodluck woth your build!

      @@ReptileWay I fell asleep mid watch last night, just finished and the build is incredible! After adding up the information gained from your videos,I am defernitly leaning towards using the small animal critter comfort from now.

    Hello, I think this design is so amazing and this influenced me to recreate this in my ball python’s terrarium. This will be a fun little summer project for me and I believe we have the same size enclosure. I will be ordering the spray foam, but I would like to know how many cans you used if possible. Thanks so much I’m sure your snake is loving its new enclosure!

    • @ReptileWay

    Amazing video!!!
    I do have some questions though as I have a 7yo Stimsons python and a 5mo Marble Childrens python that I would love to so this for, but I only have the enclosures that they are currently in. (The 5mo is in a tub in the enclosure.)
    What could I use as temporary housing for them if I were to make this?
    What would be the best time of year to do this? (As you know it’s just turned winter here in Australia.)
    How long did the whole process take?
    I love this design so much 💕

    Hello! I've recently started working on my own large scale project and I simply can not for the life of me find a non toxic pond sealer like the one you used for sale online. I'm in Europe and I simply can not find alternatives... Do you have any suggestions for alternative brands that might be international or sealers that don't necessarily advertise as non toxic but are completely fine? Thanks in advance!

    • @ReptileWay
      @ReptileWay หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, unfortunately, I do not recommend any brands or products that I have not personally used or if I don't have a trusted source that has used it.
      Essentially, you are looking for a clear pond sealer. If it's safe for fish and aquarium life, chances are it will be safe for reptiles.
      The following options may help:
      - Try find a European based channel that does similar builds to myself and look into the materials they are using.
      - join reptile Facebook groups in Europe and your local country and put your question to the group.
      - if there are any local customs reptile enclosure building businesses and get in contact with them to ask if they have any product suggestions.
      - can talk to reliable staff at hardware stores
      - can talk to reliable staff at aquarium shops
      - or you can try order the product in which is in my video online.
      Apologies I couldn't be of more help 🙏

    • @BlatantlyWrongFacts
      @BlatantlyWrongFacts หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ReptileWay Yep, understandable. It's quite tough to find any of these materials really with the "non-toxic" tag, but I'm guessing as long as it sets solid with acrylic varnish (in case I can't find the clear pond sealer) or something similar any grout or foam would be safe?... I'm not too sure, I'd just love to get my hands on some of this stuff...
