  • Hello everyone! Today, I'll take you on a flavorful journey with an irresistible recipe: Vanilla and Lemon Pear Jam, followed by a Chocolate Tart with a special touch of the same jam.
    Get ready to immerse yourself in the enveloping aroma of vanilla and lemon, blending with the incredible sweetness of ripe pears. This jam is the perfect companion for indulgent breakfasts and delightful snacks.
    The tart is a symphony of chocolate, enriched by the velvety vanilla and lemon pear jam. The balance between the crispy base and the rich filling creates an experience that will surely captivate your taste buds.

    For the Vanilla and Lemon Pear Jam:
    Ingredients:
    400g ripe pears, peeled and cubed
    250g sugar
    1/2 vanilla pod
    Juice of 1 lemon
    Procedure:
    Peel and cube the pears.
    In a pot, combine pears with sugar, vanilla pod (without seeds), and lemon juice.
    Cook over medium heat for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Transfer the jam to sterilized jars, let it cool completely.
    For the Chocolate Tart Filled with Vanilla and Lemon Pear Jam (Chocolate Shortcrust Pastry):
    Ingredients for the Pastry:
    250g all-purpose flour
    150g sugar
    30g sifted cocoa powder
    120g cold butter, cubed
    2 eggs
    Pinch of salt
    Procedure:
    In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, sifted cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
    Add cold, cubed butter and work until it resembles a sandy texture.
    Add eggs and mix until you obtain a smooth dough.
    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
    Take 1/3 of the pastry and set it aside.
    Roll out the remaining dough on a floured surface to form a 30 cm diameter disc.
    Transfer the disc to a tart pan, pierce the bottom with a fork.
    Pour the pear jam evenly onto the base.
    With the reserved 1/3 of the pastry, create strips and place them on top of the jam for decoration.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
