I'm also not a fan of the whole idea of Valentine's Day. However, I do like February 14th, it's the day I met my best friends so every year we go to the same burger shop we went to the night we met in university even though two of them have partners now. Our friendship anniversary is cemented, and we all think Valentine's Day is stupid (which is why we met and hung out that day in the first place😂)
yeah not into valentines day. its never good. its either meh or terrible. i think my worst one was where i got dumped on the day. i DO celebrate February 15th, discount candy day.

Wanting Valentines not as something you do to be 'especially romantic' on one day, but just the more proper occurence of small lil' signs of love, most every day. I hate all of those “forced love” holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc. It just feels so performative and unreliable. I don’t participate in any of them, they lack authenticity.
For me its like another birthday. Its day people can take adventage of to treat their loved ones and and make sth special for them or with them so it doesn't bother me too much. What I do hate is the expectations, being forced to celebrate them or thinking its lame if you just dont feel like it.
