Ada, I speak divine strength from the Lord upon your life.🙏 I had to subscribe to your channel after watching this video and you have said it all. Intelligent people like you will surely succeed in the UK, stay strong, stay focused and once you are settled, register your company/ self-employed contracts if not go into another care-related professional career path. Doors will open for you with your experience, knowledge, and positive attitude, and you will not regret it. Also, it is important to take short courses to upskill. God bless🙏
Thankyou Ada for this information. I worked in domiciliary care during my masters and I will work Monday to Sunday during school break and I know what I went through. Well I can’t do that now that I have a son to care for.
Thanks so much Ada. This is really an eye opener for those that are coming to the uk for care assistant job. Keep educating us on the good, the bad and the ugly side of this japa of a thing. May God bless you richly
Wahoo, your company is very strict, mine , you can tell them you want to work certain days and hours . Even you want to work 30hrs they accept. Like it’s soo flexible . You can just wake up and say am not feeling well today. They will cancel that day shift for you . They told us pls call us if you need more shifts or less shifts . Wahoo. My company is sooo good. It is well oo. Am even thinking of going to nursing school because my work is soo flexible
My dear, this is what it's supposed to be!!! Like I mentioned in the video some companies are so good. Some of us are not lucky!! Am so happy for you. Please enjoy it while it lasts.❤
Were you brought to UK by your company? Did you sign any contract before you start with them? Because you are sounding sooo different, or it's very easy to do such job. Most domicilliary workers that came in through company suffer a lot bcos they can't wake up one day & give excuse of shift decrease. It is enslavery. A friend, male nurse told me 2weeks ago, how the ladies she assisted from Ghana to UK for domicilliary care are crying everyday regretting toying the path. He said he never knew that the job is that tedious, now looking for ways to help them out. Ada has said it all, most people can't open up like this. Meanwhile, they are dying in silence, crying bitterly everyday.
If you sign anything just because you want to enter abroad , please get ready to endure and suffer whatever that you will see. Word of advice for immigrants to any abroad.
There is always a silver lining in this cloud. Remember the reason you embarked on this journey and know that the foreigner is always meant to have an open heaven under the grace of our Lord. Take heart e go beta. Learn the system and grow in self development. Capacitate yourself and grow and slowly but surely as the Lord lives you will enjoy that UK.
I'm a black British and have done domiciliary care. You are very correct with this video about everything you spoke about. I also experienced the issues of full bladder twice.

DOMICILIARY CARE is a big no for me. I have never done it and am not ready to, even being a healthcare Assistant is too hard if you are not ready don't do it. There are easier care jobs in the UK to do but not offering sponsorship
You’re right my sister. Domiciliary jobs can be tough. I used to walk in the rain, sometimes falling on slippery floors. Those with health issues think before you do Domiciliary care, I almost died due to walking too much. I’m glad I left Domiciliary.
Wow! My take is this, there's no job that is easy, worked in the hospital, taken care of a patient with Dimentia, hbp and diabetes. It wasn't easy. Sometimes I feel I should just leave the patient. It wasn't easy at all so I can relate but we have individual experiences, yes you heard me right! Individual experiences and it can be really overwhelming especially domiciliary caregiving,so you see the pay is not comessurate to the care given! I will still come back to comment.
Incase you're doubting what she's saying Listen to someone who's currently in the Uk doing care work, It's soo hectic it's something that you really want to think of before you come I'm a young man who works a lot But trust me those 4 days and driving at the same time is like doing a contrsuction work Everything is now expensive in the Uk don't be fooled with those 1.2-1.5K pounds salary You'll only survive a decent life with it The bills and rents are very expensive Personally l wouldn't recommend this job to anyone who's doubting to do it Because l've seen many people crying and regretting of this soo called dom care job
Thank you Ada! It's all true i only work for 2 months and gave up, it is hard we didn't have the transport and didn't get paid for mileage, try your luck guys, you might be lucky try care homes at least the hours are guaranteed if you find a good agency 🙏
I remember when I first started working in the Uk as a domiscilliary worker and I left my house 4:00 AM only to be returning back home around 1:00 am, I mean it guys !!! And guess what, when my hours was to be calculated, they calculated 10 hours for me 😢!!!. I regretted my life 💯💯💯
Tbh, some agencies are users. Imagine 6 hours for the whole month? Tufia!. Thank you Sis for putting this out here so that people will learn. Do not sign contract to come to UK to work dorm, just because you want to Japa. If you must come to work in dorm, make sure you're mentally and physically ready. Dormicillary job is a freaking stressful job
Babe, you can say that one million times, I was not informed. It's not nice for a mother. Oh yes, the agencies are users, they just use people especially once they recruit you from overseas. Very very bad of them, taking advantage of people. But its well... we moveeeeeee. Thanks darling for your kind words❤
Honestly I want to relocate as a carer but the type of feedback that I am hearing from those people that are already there is so discouraging. But other type of care jobs are they better. Please take care.
Hey don't be discouraged. Domiciliary care is hard, healthcare Assistant is hard but there are some type of care which are really easy. Just look and read through the job description
Thank uou Ada for this eye opener and congrats on your new job. Plsnhow do i jpin Tochi's group or do u also have a group? I will be willing to join. Am on a tier 4 looking for tier 2. Thanks

Please many people are doing domiciliary care in uk ,they are doing it with joy for decades ,e.g Philippines,British ,India ,Caribbean ,Europeans e.t.c it depends on your choice . And domiciliary care ,the social services pay only when you are with service user (client ) It is not your organisation fault ,To me Domiciliary care is very good ,if you understand how it works ,your supervisors will arrange your clients close to one another ,May be because you are new in the uk ,that’s just it . If you are new in the uk or planning to come ,don’t be discouraged, only Domiciliary care job you can quickly get easily ,***** Now how many care homes are giving you guys COS or NHS ? Life has a starting point ,to get here easily ,domiciliary is the best . After you settle ,then you move , .i did it for years ,I never regret it .Domiciliary start at 7am to 9pm ,Monday to Sunday ,according to the care plan and organisation structures ,anything from 9pm is night shift ,either waking night or sleeping night in community care across the uk .Even if you sign the contract ,this is Europe a beg ,you work base on your contract ,except if you want to do overtime . I wish you all the best . Don’t be discouraged my People. God bless you all .
Regardless of what you mentioned . The pay in UK is small compared to USA. I know tens of CNAs clearing $27-32 p/hr , Lpn $36-43 , RN$48-65 per hour , some that really wants to make a killing works 60 to 80hrs a week or more. Paycheck weekly is huge. At least if you are stressing at job, the pay must compensate for the stresses. I have many RN friends they don't even like being a RN but because weekly they clear $3500 to 5000 they are like wow. Can't leave this money on the table.
Thank you very much Ada for this raw truth , sorry you are going through this dear but you didn't explain to us if we should look out for other jobs or something . I am talking about intending immigrants like us.

Thanks for the insight. My question is , between care home and the NHS, which is the best place to start as an healthcare assistant? Very heart broken you can get Visa sponsorship in the construction, manufacturing, oil sector, train transport sector etc, even when you already in the UK, everybody now must follow healthcare assistant, Nursing, and care giving, very painful 😣😣

I envy ya'all .In US Africans are working up too 102hrs a week as caregiver 7-3p from there 4p-12a then weekend some work extra 8hrs or 16hrs.Many US caregivers/Africans are divorced
Hmmmm this is serious oooo. I know Nigerians are strong but in this case no way for this oooo. May God always strengthens u and also will never allow ur home to be broken .
I thought i saw another video where you prefer Dom care now? I enjoy my freedom in Dom care. I get it that its never easy for a mum with young children but once u have hours, YOU ARE GOOD AT THE JOB and you drive, its an ok job. There is always room for advancement anyway.
All this depends on your company. But as a mum to younger toddlers, I can't do dom care, only if I see a good company I can be doing half day. I can't leave my kids that long hours in the day time
That means UK does not have work family balance. Is unfortunate. I have always worked in the community as a mental health support worker , I enjoyed the work and learnt my lesson.
Uk does not have work family balance .That is Germany is far better than UK interms of quality of life, work family balance. Uk is a scam country and overhype by nigerians.
Well, as for the medication 💊 whilst administering medications, you must watch the clint take the meds before you leave. So, the person who gives the meds has to take the blame.
A friend got domiciliary work and on getting there she couldn't continue due to her health. She left and started looking for another job, thankfully, she got a dispenser job.
You have said lt all, but their are somethings which you can't say on this yt, because of confidentiality, and only those who will come they will see the reality by themselves, stay blessed y dear, after your contract agreement is done you will find a good job.
Permit me to say this, I heard from another blogger that the UK govt has made changes on this. Infact I heard they have agreed to pay for the time you spent moving from client to client. Pls check the govt website
Thanks Ada kings very informative video. At what point are they suppose to give you the contract? Is it before you leave your country or when you arrive Uk?
Healthcare assistant is the same as Care worker. So as a Healthcare assistant/Care assistant, you can work in domiciliary care, Care homes, and Hospitals. Hope that helps?
Ada, please I have one unrelated question. What is your plugin for this UK weather? I mean your skin doesn't seem to be dark and not affected by the winter and UK cold. Please can you share your beauty plug? Which cream works for you, make I buy for myself abeg. My fresh fair fyn skin don dark finish and I am not finding it funny. I don buy all the creams for UK finish no one gree work. Even the ones from Naija that I normally use that work well, no work again here. Help a sister bicko nu if you get secret plug. Thank you
Another thing people don't know is, don't think it's immediately you finish your five years on tier two you will just go and get the ILR, you will need to renew with the sponsor and sometimes that might even ential a new visa because for you to have a subsisting contract you must have a visa. Its when people want to apply for ILR they will know the real gbedu. Think these things through.
Your ILR started counting the very first day you entered UK. Some people change employer within this 5yrs, and it has nothing to do with ILR, everyone's story is not the same dear
@@AdaKings everyone's story has to align with the immigration rule, your employer as at when you are applying for ILR has to assent to retain you for the foreseeable future. It's a major requirment when applying for ILR under tier 2. Infact they need to hear from your sponsor. I have mine and five others are on the same trail. Its on thier website, check it yourself. Of cos the five years starts to count when you enter the UK on a tier two, but as at when you apply, these conditions MUST be met. That's why it takes atleast six months to make a decision on ilr. Go and verify.
I'll say, camera or no camera, always do the right thing, there are some private homes with hidden cameras that you might not be informed about same with some care homes, for the medication, ensure your service user takes his or her medicines in your presence before you step away to do anything else, also ensure you have the drinking water ready before you start medication. Another point is, never discuss service user A matters with service user B or anyone aside from your line manager and colleagues you do give care to the same service users because of confidentiality rules/policy.
Are there no other jobs in the UK apart from care jobs for foreigners. I noticed that most international students on TH-cam are doing care jobs compare to their counterparts in other countries that do other jobs
Ada you are absolutely right, the question i asked the first time i received my pay as a domiciliary carer was did i appear and disappear at the clients' house? Why will i not be payed for the hours to used to travel around, whereas when i was working in care home, i only do 8-8 and get paid for 11hrs.
Wow, this domiciliary care is not for the weak. Here, we call it Jehova witness job and I thought it's for fun sake not knowing the job is this demanding. And that car they give won't be used for anything else especially when it involves a long distance 🤔. There are lot of cons surrounding it. I hope you get a better one and change company. I'm working in a care home and I'm enjoying it. No regrets for now and I pray there won't be.
Sorry Ada. You just had a small baby. You need 6-12 months at home after you'd had a baby. Life in a foreign country is not easy. So much to learn about the culture, work and how you have to behave yourself. Then learn about work ethics, policies and procedures. Many of us Africans and Asians come from work backgrounds where there were no policies and procedures. No work ethics. Some places treat patients as imbeciles (know nothing). So to adjust to now saying please and excuse me every five minutes it's difficult for some. All this causes stress for some people. If possible Ada please take time off work and look after your baby up to a year. Money and work in UK will always be there. We did our fourty years in NHS and we retired. Stay blessed. Retired Nurse, midwife, health visitor and Bsc Hon degree in Psychology UK.
Uk 🇬🇧 is built for stress stop saying it is not. People exist in the Uk instead of living. People are always busy because there is a lot of bills to be paid

All this depends on your company. But as a mum to younger toddlers, I can't do dom care, only if I see a good company I can be doing half day. I can't leave my kids that long hours in the day time
@@AdaKings I understand you my dear. That your place was just being difficult it seems
That means UK does not have work family balance. Is unfortunate. I have always worked in the community as a mental health support worker , I enjoyed the work and learnt my lesson.
No they do, that's why you need to sign a good contract and pray for a good employer
Uk does not have work family balance .That is Germany is far better than UK interms of quality of life, work family balance. Uk is a scam country and overhype by nigerians.
Sooo accurate! I trust God to make a new way for Mee 🙏
🙏❤
Thanks so much for these insights
Welcome ❤
I think you did not just cope . I did Domiciliary I enjoyed it. I can still doing it again.
Wow, congratulations
Thank you Ada 😊which one is the best care job would one choose?
Care home is better. But support worker in a mental home is best
Well, as for the medication 💊 whilst administering medications, you must watch the clint take the meds before you leave. So, the person who gives the meds has to take the blame.
Ok, thank you❤
A friend got domiciliary work and on getting there she couldn't continue due to her health. She left and started looking for another job, thankfully, she got a dispenser job.
Awwwww, thanks God for her!!
thanks for sharing Ada kings, sending you huggs
Awwwww, thanks you❤
Wow Ada, this is so touching watching, thanks for sharing
Thanks darling ❤
You have said lt all, but their are somethings which you can't say on this yt, because of confidentiality, and only those who will come they will see the reality by themselves, stay blessed y dear, after your contract agreement is done you will find a good job.
Thank you❤
Hi ada ,after watching this video I was touched.
Awwwww❤
Please my sister my family need CSO,can you be of help am around Liverpool
Ada king you are so smart and pretty stay strong sis
Thank you ❤
Permit me to say this, I heard from another blogger that the UK govt has made changes on this. Infact I heard they have agreed to pay for the time you spent moving from client to client. Pls check the govt website
No. Some companies pay their workers but it's not a must, you have a job description read it before you appy
Ok dear, I will check but trust me they might not change your already signed contract. But we moveeeeeee
Thank you sister for this ❤
❤
The Lord is your strength, thanks for sharing. This would help interested people make wise decision
Exactly
I rather go back to my country and farm ,than doing domiciliary care .
Lolzzzzzz
Wao so sorry Ma, God will strengthen you.
Amen🙏
Thanks Ada kings very informative video. At what point are they suppose to give you the contract? Is it before you leave your country or when you arrive Uk?
Immediately you got the job
Would the contract be given before Cos?
@@glorymonye4745 good question
It is well sis
Sorry, you are going through all this.
I pray they get things sorted in that aspect of care.
Exactly our prayer, domiciliary carers need to be well paid. Its the hardest
D lord is your strength thanks for the information
Welcome ❤
Thank you sis Ada....is there any difference amongst domicilliary care , health care assistance and care worker ...?
Healthcare assistant is the same as Care worker.
So as a Healthcare assistant/Care assistant, you can work in domiciliary care, Care homes, and Hospitals. Hope that helps?
They are all same , just that domiciliary means going from one home to another
Ada, please I have one unrelated question. Thank you
My sister, I no get beauty plug. I get good skin naturally ooooo
Thanks for this information, am adjusting my plans I never like this Dom care
If you see care home its better, if not come with it and you might be lucky
Come back to Africa, my sister
You are a very sincere and truthful.
Thank you❤
God will continue to strengthen you.
Amen🙏
You have opened my eyes 👁️ my captain
That's the goal❤
Am watching closely before I make a decision
Walai
I swear oooo
I'll say, camera or no camera, always do the right thing, there are some private homes with hidden cameras that you might not be informed about same with some care homes, for the medication, ensure your service user takes his or her medicines in your presence before you step away to do anything else, also ensure you have the drinking water ready before you start medication.
Another point is, never discuss service user A matters with service user B or anyone aside from your line manager and colleagues you do give care to the same service users because of confidentiality rules/policy.
Exactly
Weldone ma
With the 2hrs break meaning one is working for 13hrs
Will they pay for the 13hrs or the hrs you spend in a client house
The hours you spent at clients house
@@AdaKings
Not encouraging
Can never do dormiciliary care,I rather pick sand from the floor...people need to be informed with this japa japa drama
Hahahahhahah 😁 its well
Much love Ada
❤
Are there no other jobs in the UK apart from care jobs for foreigners. I noticed that most international students on TH-cam are doing care jobs compare to their counterparts in other countries that do other jobs
There is plenty jobs, people do the ones they love to do. Its not about the UK or Canada dear
You aren't lying my sister, but my own is flexible and company booked taxis for us for each call ,or sometimes their driver do it.👍
Wow, you are lucky then
Nice. Which company? Most agencies are dubious.
Thanks fr d info , mama. How many hours does Support worker should work?
It depends on company. 48hrs maximum
@@AdaKings 48hrs per week right?
Ada you are absolutely right, the question i asked the first time i received my pay as a domiciliary carer was did i appear and disappear at the clients' house? Why will i not be payed for the hours to used to travel around, whereas when i was working in care home, i only do 8-8 and get paid for 11hrs.
Hi there. I also work as a domiciliary carer but thinking of going to care home. From your experience, do you think dom care is butter than care home?
I'm waiting for this response too.
Its well dear, its so sad. The pay is discouraging
Care home is far better although depending on the care home ooo
You are 100% right
❤
Thank you for this video
Welcome ❤
SO SORRY MY DEAR SISTER . GOD IS YOUR STRENGTH
Amen🙏
Soon u will get a comfortable one... Nice piece
Thanks babe❤
I think I heard more 'guys ' than the I tended message. Thanks for sharing though
I hear you... thanks for watching
Tank u very much Adaking
You are welcome ❤
Wow, this domiciliary care is not for the weak. Here, we call it Jehova witness job and I thought it's for fun sake not knowing the job is this demanding. And that car they give won't be used for anything else especially when it involves a long distance 🤔. There are lot of cons surrounding it. I hope you get a better one and change company.
I'm working in a care home and I'm enjoying it. No regrets for now and I pray there won't be.
Sis greetings pls can i write you in person
Babe, care home is 100% better!!! No comparison. This domiciliary care is not for the faint hearted oooo. Its so difficult and hectic. Its well
Very true ada king
Hmmm, Thanks for your honesty
Welcome ❤
Ada, than you for your talks. Can I talk to you for your guidance on courses bcos am have issues in sign in on Florence academy. How can I dm you.

So aside domiciliary, which aspect of the healthcare is less draining? Is the support work better?
Support living is better less stress and you have time to relax.
Support work in a mental health home is far better
Uk 🇬🇧 is built for stress stop saying it is not. People exist in the Uk instead of living. People are always busy because there is a lot of bills to be paid
She just came. In Europe, people only live to work and pay bills. That is living in bondage.
Its not easy anywhere in the world. I have lived in other countries too. Just pray for grace
The company is been wicked, they should have time shifts. In groups. Na wa o.
Its well
