I’m from FL and grew up listening to the Mississippi Mass Choir. I believe this choir is beloved by all of us who grew up in the church, listening to gospel music in the 80’s -90’s. Bishop Morton did a great job of honoring the original rendition by Mr. Frank Williams. Simply beautiful.

Uh! I'm in tears!! My daddy, Reverend Jonathan Thomas Sr. LOVED the groups on Malaco Records--The Jackson Southernaires, The Williams Brothers, The Christianaires, you name it, he had it. Louisiana Son raising a family in NYC, he never let go of his roots--His God and his groups. He went to all the concerts in Brooklyn. Listening today, I feel him in my kitchen , dancing and walking around. I know he's in Heaven going, "Oooh Wee!" Thank you Malaco, for 50 years of great music!! Congratulations on 50 fabulous years!!

This brings back so many memories. Hattiesburg Mississippi here. Every Sunday morning they would play these songs on the radio. It was the only time music was played at the house. Could only listen to gospel music.

I’m from FL and grew up listening to the Mississippi Mass Choir. I believe this choir is beloved by all of us who grew up in the church, listening to gospel music in the 80’s -90’s. Bishop Morton did a great job of honoring the original rendition by Mr. Frank Williams. Simply beautiful.

Uh! I'm in tears!! My daddy, Reverend Jonathan Thomas Sr. LOVED the groups on Malaco Records--The Jackson Southernaires, The Williams Brothers, The Christianaires, you name it, he had it. Louisiana Son raising a family in NYC, he never let go of his roots--His God and his groups. He went to all the concerts in Brooklyn. Listening today, I feel him in my kitchen , dancing and walking around. I know he's in Heaven going, "Oooh Wee!" Thank you Malaco, for 50 years of great music!! Congratulations on 50 fabulous years!!
