Nominated as one of the best goalkeepers in the world for 2024. I believe he was in the top 20, and the only Mexican goalkeeper, and the only one from the western hemisphere. He is in fact one of the greatest still in the making. My respects to him, he's become one of America's best players.

And my parents are from the same town as he is from Zamora, Michoacan. He has built a rehab center for recovering acholic and drug addicts. So he on his ways to becoming a great for sure. we will see what he does in the world cup.

Ochoa actually has 3 trophies, Clausura 2005, 2004-05 Campeon de Campeones, and the 2006 CONCACAF Champions Cup. I won’t count the 2008 Interliga since it was a friendly tournament similar to Leagues Cup before the clusterfuck

By mid season in 2023, Malagón got his chance as a starter and never gave up that spot again, leading Club América to its 3-peat Championship this December 2024!

There are a lot of goalkeepers who are good at stopping shots, but lack the awareness or physical strength to get the ball to a safe area. They tend to concede second chance goals.
That’s what we love about him, Oscar Jimenez and Ochoa would both block shots but they would parry the ball back to the center and we would get scored on a lot
As an America fan I gotta say he needs a few more years under his belt to even be in the conversation of the best. He's good but consistency over time is key

But yes goalkeepers tend to play way more than the other players so in time I believe he still has a lot more to show.
I do think he is a great keeper, but to be considered a all time great, he still has a long way to go. But he’s on the right path. I do feel like he needs a move to Europe because he seems to be comfortable in Mexico. His not bad with his feet but I do feel like he could be improve a bit more.
Mexico Currently has the best keepers in concacaf with Luis Malagón probably being the best, but we also have Alex Padilla who plays for Atlético Bilbao, And a lot of other upcoming ones like Fernando Tapia, Julio Gonzalez although is older is still a very good keeper.
If he wins this next title with America, I will put him at the goat of goalkeepers in Club america. For mexico, tho he still needs time and games to show off what's he got. Sp as mexican keepers go he be at a top 5 or at least top 10
He’s not the biggest goalkeeper physically. (He’s probably like 5’11 or barley 6’0) But he has a huge presence in the box when it comes to making important saves.
He needs to play for Mexico and be good for a long term to be up there with the legends… hopefully Ochoa retires and lets him start in the 2026 World Cup for him to start officially
