The north is always forgotten with conservative governments. I really hope things start to turn around soon. Blackpool is a great town with many fantastic things to offer, the residents of Blackpool are amazing resilient folks who deserve much better.

I'm one of the few who enjoys the quietness and none of the hustle bustle, a great point about all these empty building and the poor people on the street staring at the buildings, glad to see you back and i hope your feeling a lot better there!

Hope you’re feeling better soon Stephen there’s so much bug and flu stuff around at the minute, as long as it’s not Covid. Went on North Pier last Sunday, never saw it look so bad, it got such a battering from all the winter storms. The owners are buisy repairing it but they have a lot of work to do this year. It's a pity that the National Trust are not there to help protect the British Pleasure Piers a lovely part of Britain's Heritage. With such bad weather and lack of money Blackpool is very quiet now. Hopefully things will pick up and we will have a good summer. Look after yourself Steve and take some time out to recover from ylur illness. Thanks for another very interesting video xxx
We stayed at the Claremont hotel 4 February for 5 nights, we had a walk round in the day all the shops were open, went to madam tussauds and the tower one day both closed and the peirs, all the best

I was really Concerned about You and i said a little Prayer or two for You to Recover and get better soon. There is no rush, just take it easy and take your time. You must really look after yourself. Society is dead not just Blackpool. Up and down the country people are all saying how shit their towns and city's are. The government and local councils have all but culled the working classes from society, outpriced along with all our pubs closed / demolished.

Had a great aunt who owned a boarding house in Blackpool, 60s and 70s loved going there, haven't been since the 80s, changing to much, not like it was, trouble is these days people are frightened to go out at night
That building on queen street is as you probably know the old jobcentre ,its been sat there empty for years now like you said ,they could easily open it as a homeless hostel .
I'm not from Blackpool but have visited a few times in the past. I enjoy your videos. I remember the Yates wine lodge fire, an awful blaze that I believe was actually Arson. There was a pet shop nearby and lots of animals were killed too. 15 years ago this month.

I agree there is so many empty buildings knocking around. why not put the electric on the heating and there is a place for the homelss. it only takes a security guard to sit there and look after stuff that,s it.
Blackpool is my spirit-home I once saw Michael York of Logans Run fame drinking a cuppa on the North Pier I would have said hello but he looked like he was having a bad day 😂
Even in my old town of Walsall in the 80,s in my late teens/ early 20,s when weekends were alive any monday night would be dead to be fair.Its a monday night not a Friday night?

It was quite a sudden illness. Not sure if I'll ever know what caused it, but at least I'm on the mend now.

Yeah im with rbs bank and used to use that place and i remember the violin place too ,time flys think its been 7 years since rbs was open there .

The violin shop is now behind Station Court on Station Road in Poulton.
My grandad on my dad’s side, who was from Ireland, had his fiddle serviced there in 1980. I remember going in there with him & my dad.
