What I find funny is this is the exact opposite of reality. An elephant only has to fall around 10 ft (don’t quote me on that) to die meanwhile you can drop a vole from extreme heights with relatively little issue
10 feet from an elephant, hmm. That seems actually quite accurate. I mean, even people might have trouble with a 10 feet fall.(if their legs are above the 10th feet ofc.) So considering even humans(10-20%) die from a 10ft fall, an elephant would for sure imo.
@Atheist You can see the dirt particles of landing tho, so in my opinion it is the "hitbox issue". Warden is a VERY detailed mob among all and even with enderdragon there were back then and even nowadays some texture/hitbox issues. What happens here is that the hitbox hits the ground first, then the texture, this actually happens often in minecraft not just with warden. If you look at 0:45 with 0.25 and stop every second you can see that ALL mobs leave dirt particles and snowman even leaves snow on the floor.

one time i created a new world and spawned in a desert with a plenty of steep drops. for some reason there were rabbits spawning everywhere aswell, so as i was walking around i just started finding rabbit meat floating around without me doing anything, it took me a little while to figure out what was happening lol i never understood how rabbits are so weak to fall damage even though irl they can fall from incredibly high and land safely irl

Theres actually a small window where cats can die from fall damage. 5-7 stories is the killzone. Above 7 they hit terminal velocity and naturally are forced into a skydiver like pose by the rushing air that spreads the impact.
