@@allisonc9645 Do they have a podcast together? 😀 Didn't know that! Where, how, what, why, who?.. No, seriously, where can I find it? Thank you so much!
I have been watching both of you for a long while. I have to say, at 78yrs. being isolated with my husband during covid, to be safe, has been very difficult. We missed being at church, finally its back up and running, but still as you speak of change, watching you ladies has been an inspiration and totally helped me feel like I can still be alone, but not alone, and have 2 helpmates to encourage me to change in many ways. Love you both, Love your kind hearts and spiritual input....Praises....Freddi
I’m so sorry that you e been isolated but your attitude is wonderful and thank you for these kind comments... we love this time together with you too! 🥰
So, my son had had a terrible baseball injury requiring surgery. The morning of the surgery, his coach came to our house and led us in a prayer for a good outcome and his well-being during the surgery. I’ve never hand anyone openly pray specifically for me/us. I have been forever changed by this. Now whenever someone I know of is in need of a prayer, I don’t simply say I’m praying for you, I actually text the prayer to them so they do know my prayer for them wasn’t just a passing thought.
I love seeing you both in a video again. This episode is probably one of your best. Very timely, very real and something we really need right now (and both are you are very relaxed here, if may I say so 😊) . And it makes us all feel like we are a part of your group, too, and with your inspiration, we are motivated to change. Thanks, Diana & Dawn.
I was just thinking about this very thing last weekend, when I watched your last video. You are the company I keep and that has been so good for me. Seriously, that's what I was thinking! (I do keep company with other people I know personally as well). Even though we don't each other personally, you are very good company. Thank you for all that you do. I appreciate both of you so very much. God bless you both. Have an amazing day.
I’ve found, being a pastor’s wife/leader, that you can’t choose who follows you… so you really have to be intentional to find people that inspire you, because otherwise, you could be burned out inspiring others out of their life’s messes.
I'm a home body. I don't have friends. My husband and I do church at home with the internet. They're are things that I would love to change in my life. That's why my husband and I are considering Senior communities. Most times these places have lots of activities where you can make friends.
That would be such a smart thing to do. When a couple doesn’t have outside friends it can be extra difficult when one passes. You can take your time in your new community but you’ll find lots of things to do and people to do it with when you are ready.
I’m so grateful for this message today. After 2 years of attending a church I still hadn’t made any friends. Yes it was during Covid times and sometimes we couldn’t meet in person, small groups were not being held, etc. But I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and attended another church for a women’s Bible study. I’ve gone twice and have connected with several women already. That connection with other Christian women has changed me😊
Thanks for doing the type of video that you said you wouldn't do! Every time Diana prays, I feel the Holy spirit. Thank you so much for bringing some peace and loving conversation to my day.
Thank you for the encouragement and inspiration you bring. As an introvert and one who has isolated far longer than I had ever imagined, the thought of even attempting to get myself back out there is a daunting task. I no longer drive and have been unsuccessful in finding a church who would be willing to transport to services, especially since the world shut down. I push myself out to attend the "Bible study" in my apartment community, but it is primarily a circle time of reading the word and very little discussion. I feel I am drying up inside and long for what you have found in a group with others. I am sure there is something out there for me, and believe God can and will open a door. For now....I just need to be willing to step out of my comfort zone and believe He has something amazing in store for me.
Hi Mary, thank you for sharing, this sounds very difficult, I’m sorry. I’m praying right now for a godly friend and community. You have such a good attitude, hang in there! And many blessings and love 🥰❤️
I am sure my blood pressure goes down when I listen to Diana. You are both so inspiring in that you show us we have issues, but so do other people, and you give some simple tools to make small changes. So many of us put on such a front, and deep down we feel like other people cope better.
Do you TH-cam or Facebook Live your sermons, each week? I attend my regular service, but choose others to watch when I feel the need. I love that you pray for us all! It’s brings me such joy to watch you and listen frequently! I’ve come to have such love for you and your families!
Loving this channel. The ones from Dawn’s group who haven’t come on over are really missing out! Thx Diana and Dawn for all you do for us. My house is finally simplified and we had friends over last weekend. 💜💜💜💜👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for speaking on this. It has been a desire of mine to find a group but obstacles have made it challenging. I never thought about finding a group at another church during the week and that that would be ok. Thank you for opening my eyes to other opportunities! Bless you both! Thank you for praying for us at the end as well. That truly means so much.
OH MY GOSH! I was sitting here with the baby finally asleep thinking, "hmmm I need to want to pray. Maybe one of Diana's videos will help me. Maybe this one..." PERFECT
Ha! I went from failing to a B student just by being put into boarding school - structure & schedules. Amazing how that rests a person into success. If you know your boundaries you can thrive in those boundaries. When there are none you flounder.
You two are so great! Thank you for the reminder that we can do hard things; that it can be awkward to get involved socially but it is worth it!; and that God is ultimately in charge and is also very much supporting us along our journey. Thank you both so much for sharing your gifts.
This was inspiring to me. I recently reconnected with my church and am hoping to form some relationships with like-minded people. It is a little difficult to “enter the pack” if you will.
30 years of working at the large retail chain that I do , negativity is rampant and hard to escape. One of the ladies in my area is quiet and nice and still trying to do things right. I told her she inspires me to be better....so refreshing.
WOW !! God was prompting me to start something here at my home! You are both such a inspiration and I really have grown to love you and you both are so real to me!
Awesome! A few verses came to mind after watching this great video: 1) Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,” God wants us to hang out together! If He thinks it’s important - Then we should too! 2) Philippians 2:2 - Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Hanging out and being of the same mind - which is regarding the rightly divided word of God 3) Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Transformed which comes from the same word as metamorphosis. We CAN change - like from a drab caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly- by renewing our minds to God’s word.
Found both your channels a few weeks ago. Look forward to your videos for inspirational information. It's a such blessing, thank you. I am going to my church's woman's group and we're doing Jennie Allen's study "Restless". Really love her studies. It felt good to get back and enjoy being with other woman to get into God's word and be in prayer with others.
You and Dawn have so many positive ideas and helpful information. I wish I lived closer to both of you, so we could hang out together, but I live in Maine 😕 (a bit of a drive).
This is absolutely true! Having multiple generations represented is also a blessing to encourage those who need to see others have survived those same stages. And you realizing we are not alone! Our faith is built stronger as we see the Lord work in other’s lives. IF Tables are a great way to start if you’re looking for some guidance in how to start a small group. They are geared to women and have 4 questions you can discuss at each meeting. The first starts more generally and gets a little deeper with each one. It’s a great way to gently build those relationships. And thought it’s was interesting you started in Social Work. I started in Finance and changed to Social Work😂 I worked in hospitals mostly, but also worked at a gym for a few years:) Thank you for sharing and encouraging the connections we were designed for!
Following the right people on TH-cam feels like good mentoring too. During the covid that saw me through.. meeting Dawn and You! Don't get me wrong..I have friends.. but we share what we're watching and then we have started changing and growing in some areas.. thank you.. both of you..
Something to look into is growth vs fixed mindset! It’s the belief that people can grow and change vs if people have innate talents. For example can anyone learn math or is a person born with math talent and you either have it or you don’t.
People are slow to change. I’ve always heard it said “When the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change, we change” Our church is a collective of individual house churches that meet independently, then we gather for corporate worship on Sunday’s. This way we can reach our neighbors in a casual setting, usually with a meal. We also have ladies Bible study with our pastor’s wife during the week. The kids actually have youth group tonight! We love our church family ❤️
You have such meaningful conservations, I'm blessed with may wonderful friends that have stuck by me through my struggle with depression. Like Dawn I'm also an introvert and staying in touch feels like a huge effort. . Thank to God they did not give up on me and I'm so very grateful.
You two gals are so great! Honestly, my home and my attitude toward things have changed because of Dawn. My home is very uncluttered because of Dawn. You two are my virtual girlfriends! ☺️ Diana, you’re amazing, too!
What a great topic! One of my former pastors talked about being around people who are “eagles”-positive mentors who are doing what you want to develop. I have had this in the past but lacking this over the past few years. Especially at church. I have wondered about finding another small group elsewhere. Something to pray about. (BTW:I am a nurse/ personal trainer working for a Christian physician to do exercise education for our patients. We have a dietician as well. I was a formerly very unhealthy person.)
I have been very isolated because my daughter is physically disabled and her care takes up so much time that i have find it difficult to find where to make friends. I sometimes try and connect with people by they are so busy they don't really seem interested. Please pray for all who are lonely to find friendships
Amen, sisters, amen! I can sooo relate! Gaining strong and supportive relationships reminds me of the verse in Proverbs where it states that a 3 stranded cord cannot be easily broken. Thank you for infusing us with wisdom, insight, and encouragement ! ❤️ I sooo enjoy both of you. You're delightful.
Exactly what I am struggling with this morning. Thank you ladies!! 2 year battle with recently diagnosed vertigo (no dizzy symptoms). Has been debilitating and oh so frustrating as I don’t look “sick”. Thankful there is no pain! I’ve got some good friends but everyone is at least 20 minutes away. Praying for community in my neighborhood. Appreciate you both so much and always benefit from either of your videos. 🙏
I love watching you ladies!! I first found Dawn through searching about minimalism and then began watching your videos, Diane. I have shared your videos with my twin sister. I just sent her an e-mail with the subject "Breath of Fresh Air". Your videos are so needed right now in my life. Thank you, thank you for using your gifts to help others. I would be interested to know how you formed your small group.
I feel so filled with the Spirit whenever I listen to you guys together. It is so powerful and always speaks directly to my life. I wish I was in your small group. Love the advice of following people who inspire you to be better, and I realise that I need a small group that is more fitting to my age and situation. Thank you. Whenever I watch you guys, I feel like I have my friends on Facetime.
I believe the company you keep says a lot about the type of person you can be. Some people you want to be around and others you can't get away from quick enough. TFS
Well said ladies, I am watching this after testing positive for covid 19 and I am currently quarantining . The world is a little topsy turvy . My church does online and in person services.
Oh no! Abundant blessings and grace as you spend this time apart... praying the Lord will meet you in powerful ways! And that you will recover quickly 🥰❤️
Diana and Dawn, This might make me sound like a terrible person but I have to say it. I work retail and I spend all day helping other people. I have a hard time being a “people person” when I am not in work mode. How can I be a good servant to others happily when it is literally all I do all day. I do my best, I smile and laugh at the jokes I have heard thousands of times over. I let the angry person do what they do which is often talking down to me, and I can’t speak my mind back because I’m working and that would get in trouble even if I was justified. I say “Have a good day!” While I am very frustrated on the inside. I just get so burnt out on “helping.” What can I do to change my mindset on this? Any tips would be great. I love this channel and the messages each week! Love you sisters in Christ! 💛
Thank you both so much. I had my head down on many levels preparing a talk this week. I thought of you both and your prep before sharing. You were lifted in prayer with gratitude. Thank you for the Joy you both bring.🌸🌿
Your prayers are always so inspiring and powerful🙏🏼❤️ I was wondering if you could pray for the Petito family and that BL would be caught and brought to justice. Thank you so much.
I love seeing the two of you together! Great wisdom and encouragement. I, too, am an introvert (and a Realtor, Dawn!)!! Anyway, our couples small group had been hanging on by a thread the last several months but we met a couple of weeks ago and all agreed that we truly need each other. We’ve made a few changes and we’re up and running again! Thank you both for taking the time to encourage us by creating a virtual connection! God bless you and your families! ❤️🙏
I'm pretty new to your channel and I love it! So encouraging and uplifting. Thank you. I've been using the soap method to study the Bible and I love it. I'm binge watching now. Be blessed.
Thank you for always encouraging and allowing the Lord to speak through you. I’m convicted often by your topics and this one seems overwhelming, but my pastor’s wife came right to mind as a good influence.
Oh, I just found your channel. I follow the minimal mom and love Sunday morning episodes because of the spiritual guide...I love that you have a channel...I'm so excited 😊 ❤
Thank you so much for your videos, Diana! They are an encouragement and have been the perfect gentle nudge to turn my thoughts towards the Lord throughout the day. 💙 Quick question: How can one tell the difference between being burnt out/in survival mode, and having lost that “first love for the Lord?” As a married homeschooling mom of two going through very difficult things (like many nowadays!) I’m having a difficult time pinpointing which is going on lol. One requires grace and rest, and the other requires pressing through and buckling down, so I’m not sure which one of those is appropriate at the moment. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you have on this! 🥰
I commend you for making that investment in your kids! Some HS years can go smoother than others...Some things that I learned that may help: Remember that homeschooling is a marathon, not a sprint. You pace yourself differently for running a long distance vs. a short distance; likewise, set a pace for your homeschool that you can maintain over time, with life's ins and outs. Simplify. Aim for quality over quantity! Are you making generous use of read alouds in your homeschool? Read alouds are enjoyable, low or no cost, and require no prep on mom's part. The read aloud can be the basis of other activities: discussion, oral narration, writing a chapter summary, making a diorama or other art project, etc. (Good titles are a must; see titles featured in Progeny Press Study Guides, Lamp Lighter Publishing). Quality read alouds provide rich vocabulary, character and life lessons, historical knowledge, critical thinking, and more (like bonding over a good story). (Gladys Hunt's book Honey for a Child's Heart is recommended, too, for more info on motivation/ideas for reading aloud). Also, a good planner like Managers of Their Homes by Teri Maxwell will help you to maximize your time and effort. Best to you!
Hi Deborah! Thank you for sharing... and what a kind response from Shirley, I hope that’s helpful to you! Also, from what you’ve described, sounds like grace and rest might be needed. We are managing SO MUCH these days... so. much. So I would err on the side of being gracious with yourself. And if possible, find a way to develop community around bible study or prayer. This will keep the passion for the Lord burning while also filling that need for community and others to help shoulder your burdens with you. Thanks again for sharing and many blessings 🥰🥰😣
Feels like Sunday Morning with Diana and Dawn.🥰
I love when they get together and just chat. I am loving the podcasts - I listen to when walking and it is like I am walking with my friends.
We enjoy it too 🥰
My favorite videos are with y'all together.

Has been debilitating and oh so frustrating as I don’t look “sick”. Thankful there is no pain! I’ve got some good friends but everyone is at least 20 minutes away. Praying for community in my neighborhood. Appreciate you both so much and always benefit from either of your videos. 🙏
You are the person I have surrounded myself with! You are my role model!
Dawn may be surprised by how many good friends she will make in a small group.
I have been missing conversations like this so much:) Yahweh bless you both
I love watching you ladies!!
Diana and Dawn,
This might make me sound like a terrible person but I have to say it.
Thànk you for sharing on this topic and for praying! Mày God contiue to bless and use your giftinga throughthis channel to uplift this community!
You are both amazing, wish I had friends like youll!
Y’all are so awesome! 🥰
Back by popular demand. Missed you both together! ❤️🌹
I'm pretty new to your channel and I love it! So encouraging and uplifting. Thank you. I've been using the soap method to study the Bible and I love it. I'm binge watching now. Be blessed.
Hi Carol, welcome! And thank you for your kind comments. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead... many blessings!! 🥰❤️
Thank you for always encouraging and allowing the Lord to speak through you. I’m convicted often by your topics and this one seems overwhelming, but my pastor’s wife came right to mind as a good influence.
♡♡♡the sisters together💯
You two have been my community in the toughest season of my marriage, so thank you. ❤

Diana, I love this white blouse on you! ☆♡
Thank you so much for your videos, Diana! They are an encouragement and have been the perfect gentle nudge to turn my thoughts towards the Lord throughout the day. 💙
Quick question: How can one tell the difference between being burnt out/in survival mode, and having lost that “first love for the Lord?” As a married homeschooling mom of two going through very difficult things (like many nowadays!) I’m having a difficult time pinpointing which is going on lol.
@@sm8johnthreesixteen This is so thoughtful, thank you for sharing ❤️
