Pleco Tank using substrate from Home Depot

So this video went in another direction which turned out more to be about cheap Home Depot substrate. I still feel there is some benefit here so hopefully someone finds this useful!

🥳 glad to see what the substrate looks like in the tank. I really like it. Do you find the pea pebbles as smooth as the pea gravel from the fish store? Have to work on my tanks tomorrow. Finally got the pieces for the cabinet for my 45 gallon bowfront😃 also picked up 3 long fin plecos while I was at the shop lol same place I got 2 albinos a few days ago. They're just little guys 🥰

Does the substrate from homedepot works well for plants?

It definitely depends on the plants. The tank above this one is pretty much the same substrate and my Val and dwarf saggitaria thrive
