I don’t watch the current product (haven’t for years). But I subscribe to the Network so I can watch the classic era. It appears much of the archive will not be made available on Netflix which is truly sad. Is the full archive available on Peacock in the US? If so, maybe there’s hope…
WWE has been dieing for years due to PG era and the last time I watched it live on TV in the UK it was still on Sky Sports at the time which was over a decade ago and most of the wrestlers from back then are now retired so I have no interest whatsoever in the WWE anymore.
@jason72818 once CM Punk left I had no real reason to watch it anymore because I forced myself to watch it for the last 2 years before I quit watching it completely.
No it says in the email that’s all going over to Netflix like it went over to Peacock in the USA. The network isn’t shutting down it won’t be available just like it isn’t in the USA. Once the deals expire if no one wants to pay $1 billion or more by 2030 or 2035 then it will be reactivated & made available again to the UK.
@@SimonCowie86 I Mean until i Happends I dont belive them because that's a lot of content to take over to Netflix and I don't think they will want all that
As someone who lives a region where the network shut down 2 years ago and moved to a regional service I think wrestling fans are gonna pissed at just how light the network content will be on Netflix.
As long as it has Raw, Smackdown, NXT and PPV which it will I'm good. Older stuff will migrate over in time but I'm long past having time to go back in the archive. This year I only turn on the Network for NXT live and PPV.
I'll also bring doing the same JUST TO BE SURE! Pretty sure they said it will cancel automatically or will be the last payment but...Companies like money!
It's great news now I have 1 subscription to pay. Iv never got the network as I don't want to pay just for wwe content. Now I get films tv series and wwe content in one subscription. I dont see the issue
Sorry, just so you know - the WWE Network will also be switched off in Ireland, as well as the UK. I'd be worried that all the archive stuff and documentaries won't carry across to Netflix. It better all carry across.
I downloaded everything off the WWE network awhile back that I wanted. All the PPVs from 83-2005, All of Nitro, Thunder, Raw, Smackdown, ECW. All the home video stuff etc. I stopped watching back in 05, and had stopped watching week to week long before then but with Eddie Guerrerro's death that was pretty much it for me. I might subscribe again to check and see if there's anything new (of the old stuff) they've added, but other than that I'll be ok for WWE content.
I'm not happy about it due to wwe not telling us about how much of the history back catalogue is being kept. All raw episodes. All smack down episodes. And all ppv's Hoe much is being kept??? No news or information on this
I've never had a NETFLIX subscription as I'm not a big TV viewer in general, if I'm honest. I've been a big pro wrestling fan since my teens. I will take on a NETFLIX subscription... have to say I'm looking forward to 6 Jan
I got an email from WWE. What’s actually happerning is what happened in the USA so Netflix will have the content like Peacock has it . When the Netflix deal expires if WWE or Netflix don’t renew their deal in 2030 & no one wants that content the Network will be reactivated. Mate the Tyson fight was a test so Netflix will sort out their servers by then. If you read the full email it states everything will go over.
Tyson fight was watched by 60m people. Raw might get 3m at most. Other smaller live streams from Netflix has zero problems but nobody mentioned it because much less watched them. Raw will be fine. And the rest especially as US audiences won't be watching those on Netflix.
Says who? Obviously at the beginning it will be focused on new stuff but Armageddon 2003 will be there eventually 😅. I sold all my DVDs and Bluray in 2014 and made a shedload off them. I don't regret it as I never went back and watched 95% of it.
Truth to be known is WWE didn't want to pay to keep the WWE Network app going in the United States so they moved everything to peacock so NBC universal could handle all of it The WWE Network app was 100% better if you're in the UK I hope Netflix don't edit the WWE content like universal did for the United States
@@stingersplash That's my point though wwe would have signed the contracts giving them exclusivity to archive footage probably because not enough people were subscribed to it to keep it going. I mean it's main focus is for super fans for the most part.

More than that with no TNT subscription too.
Lets hope they upload it all on netflix that was on the network
It wont, atleast not at first
@@Mkmichael001Same with Peacock. Important stuff first, rest in time.

So true, even just over 10 years ago, had Batista and Cena in main event of raw. Now you get vanilla midgets like Balor and some dude called JD
@jason72818 once CM Punk left I had no real reason to watch it anymore because I forced myself to watch it for the last 2 years before I quit watching it completely.

@ a lot of people liked the network for the archival history. This ain’t about who got into wrestling 5 years or sooner
My only concern is will our membership deactivate automatically or do we have to cancel manually
It's shutting down so December 1st will be last payment. But I'm still going to cancel just for peace of mind with PayPal on December 2nd.
