Subject: Urgent: Test Suspension Due to Misunderstanding
      Dear LanguageCert Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I experienced during my recent test. Unfortunately, the test was not completed because the examiner suspended it due to some misunderstandings.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in reviewing this matter and advising on the next steps to resolve it. I am eager to complete the test and would like to understand how we can proceed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
      Best regards,

    Dear Candidate,
We are writing to inform you that your Oxford ELLT test results are being withheld due to a discrepancy in your results.
According to the Oxford English Language Level Test (ELLT) policy, if there is a significant difference of 4 or more Oxford ELLT levels between two or more skills assessed in the test, it necessitates a thorough investigation and re-marking of the exam. We
regret to inform you that such a discrepancy has been identified in your test scores.
During the remarking process, despite our efforts, we have been unable to verify your English proficiency level accurately. The discrepancy across different skills persists, making it challenging to determine your true English level.
To clarify, a discrepancy in results means there is a noticeable difference or inconsistency between your proficiency levels in various skills. For instance, you may demonstrate a C1 level proficiency in written English but only a B1 level proficiency in spoken
English. This discrepancy indicates that your overall English proficiency cannot be reliably determined.
Your results have been withheld due to the large discrepancy between your speaking and writing skills and we cannot verify your results as the two do not correlate.
    Overall:
Although you scored highly on listening, reading, and writing, your speaking score was much lower. In parts 2 & 3, you did not seem to be speaking authentically or spontaneously. There was sometimes a pause before you responded to questions. Your delivery was
unnatural and contained pauses in unnatural places. You also lacked natural intonation or sentence stress. You would sometimes mispronounce words. In part 4, you did seem to try and speak spontaneously for parts of it. Here you misunderstood some of the questions
and your answers contained regular errors. For writing, your essay was relevant and informative. The reasons were well-developed and it was logically organized. Both your reading and listening scores are quite strong. To further improve these skills, focusing
on building up your academic vocabulary would be beneficial, as it will help you better comprehend the texts. Additionally, practicing with authentic materials can be highly effective. Consider engaging with podcasts and TED Talks to enhance your listening
abilities. For reading, it would be helpful to review and refine your skimming and scanning skills, which can significantly improve your efficiency in processing written content.
    Writing:
The writing fully met the task. All content was relevant. The essay addressed the question by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of making scientific research freely available. Ideas were generally well-supported. A good awareness of academic register
and formal essay conventions was shown. The writing was logically organized and coherent. A variety of linking words (to begin with; initially; moreover; on the other hand; furthermore; for example; to conclude; however) were used efficiently and mostly accurately
to mark the relationships between ideas. There was appropriate highlighting and linking of significant points and the relevant supporting details. The main arguments were distinguishable through the appropriate use of paragraphing. The range of complex grammar
structures and vocabulary demonstrated was great. The essay demonstrated various simple and complex grammatical forms and topic-specific lexis with some flexibility, though some appropriacy errors and awkward phrasing can occur. There was a relatively high
degree of accuracy and control of complex grammar and lexis used. The essay demonstrated good use of more complex structures. Mistakes (spelling; verb form; plurals) rarely lead to misunderstanding.
    Speaking Stage 2:
The task was not met. The presentation did not sound as if it was being produced authentically or spontaneously when discussing whether schools and parents put too much pressure on students to pass exams. The language used was suitable and had a high degree
of accuracy. However, the language was possibly not produced authentically. Your delivery lacked a natural flow to it. You hesitated in unnatural places and lacked natural intonation or sentence stress. You would also mispronounce words that you were reading.
    Speaking Stage 3:
    Again, you were probably not using spontaneous authentic speech in this part of the exam. There was often a short pause before you responded to a question as you tried to locate a relevant response. The definitions of the vocabulary words (countless; illegal;
sensitive information) and responses to questions about the pros and cons of making all scientific research free and available to everyone were scripted. You often did not understand the questions asked so your responses were not always relevant. The language
used was suitable but you did not appear to be producing it spontaneously or authentically. Because you probably were not speaking spontaneously for most of your answers, your delivery was unnatural. You hesitated in unusual places and lacked natural intonation
or sentence stress. You would also mispronounce some of the words that you read.
    Speaking Stage 4:
You were able to describe the image of the fruit being sold at the market although the description was possibly rehearsed. You had more difficulties with the follow-up questions about shopping. You sometimes misunderstood the question asked and not all of
your answers were relevant to the question asked. The lexis and grammar selected were suitable but did not show a great range or complexity. Errors (sentence structure; word form; word choice) were frequent and impeded communication on more than one occasion.
There were lots of pauses and hesitations as you tried to formulate your responses. Your pronunciation was not always clear.
We understand that this may be disappointing, however, we want to assure you that this decision is based on careful consideration alongside carefully re-examining all sections of your test. We have a duty to be sure of all results before releasing them and
ensure fairness and accuracy in assessing English language levels. Therefore, we cannot release the results at this time.
Should you wish to retake the Oxford ELLT, you have the option to purchase a new licence.
Before retaking the ELLT, you may want to consider taking the ELLT Preparation course which will fully prepare you and give you the best opportunity to succeed in the ELLT.
    Ab me kya karo😅😅😅
