good basic information here, thanks for posting. Any thoughts on some of the "legalities" of booking business? There must be contracts, letters of intent, payment terms to spell out who's paying for what and when.
Great question! We will definitely work on a video talking about the legalities. Thanks for watching!

Hello. Can you tell a good book to know more about dump trucks .thanks.
Starting off; how would you figure out that many truck loads? Or determine how many cubic yards a truck can handle. Or come up with a price that competitive

What's your thoughts on starting a dump truck business using an investor??
Thanks for your videos I live in Houston I have a cdl a restriction only automatic transmission can you tell me how to start and you have something to my I don’t have experience
Strongly encourage you to find someone to teach you how to shift them gears, not too many dump trucks with auto transmissions in Houston.
Thanks for watching!
An automatic restriction is not that big of a deal. Yes, it can limit your job opportunities, if you’re looking to work for someone. It also limits the trucks you can buy, if you’re looking to just work for yourself. However, there are tons of automatic trucks out there. I would recommend buying a truck with an Allison transmission…and stay away from CAT trucks.
Insurance is going to be very expensive. I’d recommend shopping around for insurance quotes before you commit to buying a truck.
Finding work isn’t all that hard, but it may not be the best work. Contact the local asphalt companies. They almost always need more trucks. Call them and ask what insurance coverages they need and use that to get your insurance quotes. Local quarries may also be able to help you with work, but it’s more of a word of mouth type situation. Basically, they’re just telling customers (that don’t necessarily have dump trucks) the names of companies that have trucks.
If you’re completely new to the industry, spending a year or two (or more) working for an established company is not a bad idea. You’ll learn the actual job aspect of the industry without having as much skin in the game.
