Wouldn't a DRL schedule correlate more accurately with the Changing Criterion Design? Thank you for this explanation! DRD sounds like a progressive schedule (diminishing, of course).
It wouldn't be progressive. Progressive schedules of reinforcement systematically increase response requirements where by diminishing refers to a gradual decrease.

It’s about a rate of responses. Naturally that would involve time between responses.
