- Commander Yammark's stage, the Amazon Area, from Mega Man X6 for the Sony Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only. Features location of the Heart Tank. This is considered by most to be the easiest stage and is generally regarded as the typical starting point for X6. Commander Yammark himself is also quite easy in fact. The Amazon Area is relatively simple and straightforward, and therefore requires little explanation.

Commander Yammark genuinely has some very fun attacks. Shame you rarely get to see them given how quickly he dies!
Her deadliest attacks are: going on offence by moving to one side of the wall while her Dragon Flies shoot you both forwards & backwards. & her Formation where she & her Dragon Flies form a line behind her & fly freely towards you.

So much style was placed into this run of Yammark's stage. Really, I've never seen many people effectively use the Ultimate Armor's hover foot part and with much strategic usage of it, no less. This was certainly a good watch compared to what I'm used to seeing around these parts. Nice to see something fresh every once in a while. Keep up the good work, man.
Ah I love the music on this stage aswell as Ground Scaravich stage. Oh poor Commander Yammark the easiest boss in the entire game :( Even those mantis things on his stage are harder than he is.. Shield Sheldon falls in that category too :( I usually either start the game playing this stage or Shield Sheldon. I generally prefer Shledon`s for starter though as it is the easiest and fastest place to obtain Zero from since Nightmare Zero is guaranteed 100% to appear in that stage.
+Naglfar94 music is great here, but really you like the ground scaravich music? i guess each to his own though ofcourse. but scaraviches stage, to me anyways, doesnt even really sound like music, just like ten sounds playing over and over lol. but its good to see someone who appreciates it and likes it. thats cool!
Sliider Yeah Lol I love the Ground Scaravich theme I don`t know what got me to like it so much.. Maybe it had grown on me as that is the first ever stage I tried in this game years ago.

@Naglfar94 with all respect i found scarabich theme very annoying especially in extreme level with all those tentacles dudes attemting to rape you but my favorite will always be the rainy turtloid theme.

If all stages in the game were like this, X6 would've been one of the better games in the series

The level S may be harder than bosses in some cases .For me rainy turtloid and nightmare mother are terribly hard.

Am I the only one who finds Commander Yammarks stage to be way harder then he is? Also Commander Yammarks physical appearance gives off the impression that he's a good guy.

'X6' is oft-criticized, which I can understand, but I still find it to be an enjoyable game with a dash of patience, plus the soundtrack is great. And I can skip those blasted Alia transmissions unlike 'X5'!!
I enjoyed X6 better than X3, X6 is a good game with flawed design (mostly surrounding the gimmicky Nightmare phenomenon), X3 is just flat out bad. Terrible music, terrible level design (not unfair just flat out boring and terrible) and terrible animation (for the new reploids and sigma).
It's only saving grace is a few tracks (like Gravity Beetle and Doppler Stage 1), the special weapons, and the intro movie for the PS1 version.

@@CrasherX2000 sorry man, X3 doesn't have a bad level design, but combine the bad enemy placement from X3 with the fact if you lose all your lives you have to restart THE WHOLE STAGE... definetely a more frustating experience than X6, can't really defend both games since X6 at least is forgiving in terms of continues, but X3 main flaw when it comes to enemies is placing them right in the most odd places where you can get hit before you see the enemy, it's even worse on X6 since enemies just take up the whole screen and not only attack you off screen, but they also like to push you into pits and traps, alongside the bad level design (fuck you metal shark player stage, not only it has a crushing ceilling that can kill you even if you jump a little too soon before it fully goes up again, but they had to put spikes, enemies to slow you down on the worst spots, AND EVEN WORSE! THE FUCKING ICE THAT MAKES YOU SLIDE TO A SPIKE!). I hate X6's difficulty curve for being too artificial, more than I hate X3's enemy placement and boredom, but yeah I still think X3 is by far the second worst Megaman Game from the X series (you know which one is the first on my list), I mean: X3 starts pretty unforgiving, but when you get the boss weapons and use their weaknesses against them, everything changes from difficulty to stupidly easy, worst of all: all bosses when hit by their weaknesses becomes Toadman from megaman 4, it's incredible how capcom managed to fuck the balance in that game. Level designs aren't bad either difficulty wise, but they're simply not fun because they're very... like WaywardRobot said... bland... the music is the only thing that makes the levels worth playing... another problem with X3 is HOW USELESS armor parts are in the game, you get the helmet upgrade, which it's only purpose is to help you hunting for the other items (not exactly something that won't give you benefits... but seriously what's the point of making the only purpose of the helmet upgrade a fucking "collectibles counter" ? "Oh but there's the map that appears when you start a stage! That aint bad!"... except not only it's confusing since the stage's map are just squares... and so it's easy to get lost because the stage itself is pretty long, but the fact the helmet only shows their location when you start the stage and not during it... makes the process of "backtracking" a REAL pain in the ass, more than if you wanted to hunt the items by yourself. the Buster upgrade is also useless, for some stupid reason capcom had the brilliant idea (and by brilliant I mean stupid) of making the special shot's effectness based on timing it right... where's the problem on that? first: you can't move when you fire it, making you vulnerable towards any damage for 1 or 2 seconds if you're midair. second: enemies may look slow, but believe me: they will ALWAYS fire first than you, making most of your special shots useless when you can just use a normal charged shot that will be quicker and more effective... ever worse with sigma battles... you can't even use that shit or you're going to always get hit no matter if you time it right... the Leg upgrade is... useless... why? you think dashing upwards is something useful right? well yeah it is... except It's only useful on certain locations, remember how dash was actually useful in X1 and X2? without being restricted to stage's specific locations? like you don't need to dash only because it's quicker, but because you could actually dodge many enemies and bosses attacks if you knew how to use it, the upward dash in X3? good luck with that, it's a worse double jump because not only you have to wait a moment to dash upwards, but you also can't move foward while dashing upwards, which means you will always land on an enemy, conclusion? Zero's double jump in X4-X6 is the better version of the upward dash from X in X3. the Armor upgrade? probably the ONLY useful thing since it actually minimizes the damage you receive from enemies... still i hate that fucking ball that is displayed around you, I can't see X well because the "shield" around him starts to flicker and I can't see X's position so sometimes I end up getting hit.
conclusion: X6 may be harder and unfair in comparison to X3, but X3 has more flaws than X6.

I liked X3, it's definitely not exempt from flaws though, like being potentially locked out of gold X or Z saber if you get one of the upgrade chips before gold/you don't kill vile or zero dies
X6 i never finished because the frustration far outweighed the fun for me tho it's definitely not all bad, soundtrack is great

No damage, Buster Only, aaaaaaaaaaaaaand using the most overpowered armor in the game. Why not try this with the Falcon armor, the one you start the game with?
It takes little skill to beat a level when you have an armor that wasn't meant to be legitimately obtainable for the exact reason of being OP.

that question comes up sometimes and its understandable. after X4, i developed a playstyle that i quite enjoyed using the Hover boots. i continued perfecting this style thru X5 and X6. and here youre seeing the near-final result of how good i got with its movement- and how much fun i had with it tbh. yes, i used whatever armor was necessary to acquire the hover ability. but not once did i use Nova Strike, or any other offense attacks associated with the armors, in these playthroughs. X4, X5 and X6 are buster only. no other weapons or attacks were ever used, however some ppl will still consider it void. and thats fine.
i just wanted my hover lol. i wanted to continue a style i had acquired and perfect it. i also wanted to create runs that were a bit different from what youd normally see from a 'no damage buster only' run. something with a bit more flair or style i guess. Blaze & Infinity stages, as well as the Gate stages really pushed me to rely on hover in creative ways, and i think the results are pretty cool. thnx.

With the Ultimate Armor, everything is in easy mode.
Except Gate battle. That battle is more painful that X7's voice acting.
This stage is still too easy even on extreme mode.
