the guy has won multiple sambo titles, he looks pretty solid from what I've seen. true his ufc experience is limited, and massive credit to whittaker for not declining the fight, he has much more to lose, but this is how guys at that bottom get to the top.
there's been too much talk from high ranked fighters refusing to fight lower ranked guys based on their rankings. it's taken too long for a lot of guys to get a shot at the top 5 in many divisions.
he has a diverse skillset and good power, chin questionable, stamina untested. it will be an interesting fight and I'm looking forward to it.
