Various aircraft landing over Airport Road on a sunny afternoon.
-
⭐️ Highlights⭐️
Air Transat | Airbus A310
KLM | Boeing 747-400
Transaero Boeing 767-200
Emirates | Airbus A380
Air India | Boeing 777-200
Lufthansa | Airbus A340-600
The A380 is awesome! I do feel that no other aircraft comes even close, to its majestic presence, when
landing or taking off!!
I go to that Petro gas station all the time and I gotta say, when your pumping gas the sudden noise of the plane is petrifying
+CarAmeL624 Or Petro-fying..
Very good lol
lol, you're getting gas at petro canada and you seea MASSIVE a380 approaching. then, you are petro-fied and fall over.
Petrofying, ha.
Lmao
Somehow the placement of a gas station in the front or the back of a runway seems like a gamble.
funny thing is, when this airport was built, it was surrounded by farm fields, the community grew up around it.
If a plane crashes, the gas station would be the least of your worries, or lowish on the list.
It was there first. And 23 isn't used much. Not the prevailing wind direction.
@@JohnHill-qo3hb When this airport was built, I wasn't even born, and I'm in my mid-70s. It used to be called Malton Airport. It was built in 1937-1938, in the middle of nowhere. The gas station, which has been rebuilt, was a 'Supertest' if I recall correctly.
I love the A380 ..... Beauty and the Beast rolled into one!
i just love when crowd cheers with Emirates A380...wow..such a pleasent feelings.
Glad to see other plane nerds havin' a good time! :)
thats me...a major nerdette...........LAX "In & Out" Burger place to watch jets land this low............
I have only one busy aiport 200km away from my home so every time I want to big planes I have to 2h there
yes, I was 17 years old back then and i didn't have a driving license.. so i took the 1.5 hour bus ride (with 1 change) across the whole town, but it was definetly worth it :)
I could sit back and watch them go by all day
YYZ is very busy. Go to that location and you won't be disappointed. I used to my kid to another location around the corner where planes line up for takeoff
2:29 the KLM is really cool
ImmaVegetto 1099 don’t you mean B747
@@anthonygaiman4815 It's a 747-400 operated by KLM. In this case, both the airline and the plane type are apt to distinguish between other aircraft.
That Petro Canada fuel station should rename itself to St. Martin fuel station :)
Bro....I am a Automobile Engineer but i have a great passion for Aeronautical Engineering ...The Car Wash Center filmed in this Video is a superb match for how my mindset works ....I love both Automobiles and Aircrafts.....A fine tuning of my AeroAuto Engineering passion...
Cool to see lights in the sky from aircrafts landing. Don't see that in Ottawa. Ottawa sucks big times. Winters are BRUTAL
Thank you for this contribution. BRILLIANT!!!
What a wonderful treat it WAS, to see these folks enjoying, 'Plane Spotting', amongst some of their Peers.
Of all places to view approaching and landing Aircraft, you find, (I imagine with little effort), a quaint little Convenience Store, Petro Station. Terrifically Brilliant indeed.
Judas! You can easily run into the store, whilst awaiting another wave of Aircraft approaching and snag a Dog, Crisps and a Soda. Just pay your bill, return to a comfortable viewing spot and eat at your leisure, as each Airplane comes in for a landing. Quite remarkable.
I like that you found a relatively good vantage point, albeit the fence somewhat annoying. However, one must expect obstacles.
I really got a kick outta the crowd getting excited, upon the approach of the A380. The excitement amongst all of them, in turn made me excited with like anticipation.
It genuinely appeared to be a joyful, fun place to be. I wouldn't mind at all, coming to a night time viewing, with all the colorful lights illuminating the runway and all the Aircraft with their Navigation lights, not to mention their searing Landing Lights.
If I were to be the Petro Station Owner, I'd developed a viewing area, if possible, on the property. Additionally, I'd add a quaint Shack of some sort and sell Barbecue and other Eats. I'd open in the mid afternoon and close as the last wave of Aircraft land for the evening. I'm sure they have flights throughout the day and night, but like most International Airports, I'm sure there's an Airline which uses this as one of their Hub's. Therefore, I'd use their schedule as my BQ Shack's schedule.
Best regards, keep up the good work.
Van Aus ☺agreed
That was awesome footage HOW AWESOME was that Airbus A380 .... Love Emirates
thanks :) no, i've been on a language stay (for 2 months) with my school class back then..
they are landing and taking off just about that far from my window since the new runway was opened at Boston's Logan airport
and u decided to watch this video anyways :D
What a perfectly crafted video. I Love Pearson for many reasons. Emirates was the clincher!! Well done my friend, well done!!
Ah yes, the infamous YYZ Petro Canada right below runway 23, nearly pissed my pants there one day! They're literally less than a hundred feet above you doing ~160 mph landing. There I was, pumping gas into my car, and there's absolutely no sign or anything to warn you - when suddenly, loud as hell, a giant Airbus zoomed in just over my head, scared me shitless ... I'm sure it happens all the time. I broke out laughing when realized where I was.
I love that spot! I go there all the time
Peter Ellison.....lucky you ☺
Hugo Brown If you think that 380 was cool, can you imaging the Antonov 225 landing that close to the top of the gas station? That 380 was rather awsome however
Ukraine2011 it has before
:O That 747 scared me a little when I watched this video. It looked a bit too low, I was thinking "If you were a bit lower that gas station wouldn't have that roof anymore"
Some years back I was pumping gas at that station, when I heard this terrific rumble. I looked up and it was a British Airways 744-400 landing. It looked like it was heading straight for me. I'll never forget the sight, sound and feeling of that. Incredible.
Just a Thought 744 is the ICAO for 747-400. The last "4" representing the "-400" so technically you just said
747-400-400. It is either B744 or 747-400.
Devdod Sdfsf
whoops typo. I was just going to put 744, but didn't know if everybody knew the lingo. Thanks..
I've been there but I was directly under the plane and it was Lufthansa
Here for the A380? 4:31
Thank me later :)
*later*
Thank you
Much later...Thanks
That plane is fucking beautiful.
I'm amazed at all the people that love the A-380. What is more impressive is Boeing coming out with the 747 about 35 years before Airbus brought out the 380.
On the approach to the LaGuardia airport in New York, medium-sized planes fly less than thirty meters above the rooftops of buildings in the Flushing neighborhood.
+Joaquin Pinto (GOKNICKSGO) damn seems like that's the only reason to go to Queens :DDD
That is at the end of the runway that is right on Airport Road at Toronto Pearson Airport, aka YYZ. There is a famous deli named Zets right near there if you want to google maps that for directions.
Awesome view!
that was a Thomas Cook 757.. They are at YYZ very often as Thomas Cook wet-leases some of them to various airlines in Canada (e.g. AC Jazz, etc.) during the winter season :)
Back in the 1960's, a Vulcan Nuke Bomber, attempted to land at Filton Airfield, ( Bristol UK) it came in too fast, and at the last second, put the power on full , went almost vertical , just missing the perimeter fence, that divided it from a Gas station, that was actually on the side of a Main Highway, with heavy traffic. The blast blew the fencing and gas Pumps off their fixings. Miraculously, there wasn't even a fire, and the bomber landed safely, 20 miles away.
i live at weston/finch and RWY 23's glide path is right above my home. im ten mins to the airport. i hang out at that spot all the time. the emirates A380 really draws a crowd. i heard some trini people making some noise..lol
It's amazing how quiet the A380 is.
Every time I am travelling on that road I see people camping and plane watching :-)
I live in malt on so whenever I get go there to see plane landing. I simply love that place.
Am i the only one who thinks a little dodgy to build a petrol (gas) station at end of runway? IF anything goes wrong.. at petrol station, or plane landing badly ? BOOM?
iancoley Blame the Stupid Politicians in that Place Why did they Permit a Gasoline Station in that Place.
In canada we don’t have politics
Gas station or not , If he lands short it really does not matter . lots of other stuff to ruin your day . There is a big deep ravine at the other end .
Not too smart to put a gas station right behind the end of a runway.
XLR X
XBarajasX Stupid Local Politicians Fault.
Those are the last words many persons said before RIP.
I agreed with you. The airport was built many years ago before a gas station was built located opposite from the airport and right now, it is too late for a new airport being built.
@@bluemarshall6180 Probably!! Heads Up on your part.
Amazing video mate!!! Really awesome!! I just love that spot by RWY 23 with the Petrol station!!! I want to go there some day!! Big like\!!
haha i remember when i landed on the a380 coming back home...air india was also right behind us lol....cant wait to fly on it again ..great capture!
yes, Bus #58 from Lawrence East Station to Malton (stops near the terminal) but there's an extra fare to pay after the airport.
great video
Are the planes landing at this location an everyday occurrence or does it depend on other factors like the wind? I would love to take my kids to see this but I dont want to end up driving 2 hours to find no planes landing becuse of a wind change. Thanks! And awesome video!
That is a pretty popular spot for plane sightings in the summertime. It depends on which way they are taking off/landing. But there is a spot on on the opposite side of the airport to view them. So if they are taking off from this spot, you can go to the other spot, and there is no jet wall so you can see them land completely. That is an East-West runway, but sometimes they do use a north-south runway, but there are places to see planes land for that runway too. Everyday you get a Lufthansa and Air France 747, a British Airways and Air Canada 777, 787, and 2x a week an Emirates 380, between the hours of roughly 2-6.
@RemiAviation The station is actually Lawrence West which is at the Allen Express Way. Lawrence East is at Yonge St.
I like that you could hear the wake turbulence after the larger planes have passed overhead!
the video is 12 years old, but it was worth watching
NIce A380, Nice spot, Nice Video !
KLM, one of my favorite airlines to fly on, along with Lufthansa and Finn Air.
Great video, 5*
That was truly impressive, thank you
So, the car wash leverages the back wash from landing planes to help dry off vehicles after washing? Good grief. If you stood on top of the car wash building, it looks like you could jump up and touch the landing gear. Were people just gathered around to wash the planes land??
Lovely compilation!
A-380 is the king and the 747 is the queen
i didn't know that it's illegal in some parts of north america... i only knew that policemen don't like seeing planespotters taking pictures and videos. i think because of the A380 which became a new attraction the police wasn't so strict, and i didn't even see any =)
The RWY 05 side is also a good viewpoint, and unlike the R23 viewpoint seen above, no jetwall.
I still amazed that Emirates A380 is the only flagship that operates to YYZ but not other airlines does
the a380 and the luftansa took the show dame lol
Just a great video, thanks!
Wow! Nice spotting place 👍
I was at that location on Sat. Nov. 14, 2015 at 11:30AM. No planes were landing. Where do you find the schedule for landings?
no airplanes land from that side in winter .. like Barely ... go to derry and Torbram road and you will see wat u never seen ... landing and launching
+Moqawama Heart Thank you
every morning I would lay down in my back yard and watch the airplanes roar over my roof :D I live near pearson
2:36 Wow! Amazing. I love planes.
Great video I love Air India and Emirates
That A340 pilot near the end of the video looked like he simply gave up just before touchdown
Glenville Carr ☺lol
The excitement when the king came in!!
I assume you mean the 380airbus, the big bus in the sky. Not the king! It's the Boeing 777.
just plane-watched this afternoon. saw a 747 and a380 from the other side of the road. youre allowed to take pictures now. theres even a little parking lot on the side of the road for photographers.
Some people call the a380 "The Whale"
Beautiful shots of the A380 and A346! Thanks for sharing!
Some of the best spotting iv seen great job ill sun
You have chance to watch the a380 and 747 closer good vidéo
You just hit 1,000,000 views
Great video and great spotting location..
as i can assume, this plane flies over connecticut to get to toronto, so i was outside, when i heard a faint jet noise high up in the sky, and im in GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT, and i saw the bottom...the giant red EMIRATES i was thrilled to see it.
Is this the usual runway for landings at YYZ (Toronto), or was it in use because of the rough-looking weather? If it's the usual runway for landing then who in their right mind would put a gas station in that spot? A disaster waiting to happen!
I'm visiting Toronto this September and I'll look for this station and the parade of aircraft passing overhead.
It’s one of the most used runways, and is also most used for cargo planes.
Last time I was in toronto my hotel was near there and it was amazing.
Luftansa A340 at 6:15 lands quite hard.
Was hilarious years ago. Cops would show up and tell people to move at northern runway. They leave the cops leave then all spots filled again in 10 minutes! Worked on other side of airport for 25 years! Yep a air show every day sucks!!!
Nice captures!
Hehe! It's like jackpot?
255.415 views - I only got 13.000 in total with 300 vids... (since half a year) :(
Very nice video! Liked!
I've been on a monday and a wednesday/friday, I think.. but I don't know. When I've been there, there was also a period of 2 hours where only a handful of planes landed there and later suddenly there was much more traffic again.
I'm so jealous. I live In toronto. Where did u go to see these amazing landings ? I can't find a decent spot anywhere to see them this up close . Thanks
Musleh Khan hmm.. can't remember which bus. but it's behind runway 23 (northeast of the airport area), when you drive past the petrol station, you can't miss it :)
Musleh Khan 6625 Airport Rd
Mississauga, ON L4V 1E5 I plane spot there
Just east on Airport road off Derry road! Right near the Tim Hortons too!
Yeah there's a Wendy's and a Country Style there too
+Musleh Khan Airport Rd. Behind RunWay 23, (Check on google maps) Near, Wendys and auto car repair or car related, (Remember, These aircraft on land on runway 23 when visible approach so go here when its nice out!)
Nice video mate
i like the sound of the planes!!
Great vantage point! Kind of exciting!!
Sim, 50/50 suíço e brasileiro
The plane is 🛬
VoarVideos HD shadab
it depends on the wind direction. When the wind comes from the south or west, then they land over airport rd. but check flightradar24 (.com), there you can see which runways are primary in use. sometimes the use of runways is changing over the day :)
Hey. Good to see famous blue klm bird....
love how the guy caught his hat as the A380 landed lol.
Super Video! Nächstes Jahr möchte ich vielleicht auch in Toronto spotten, und ich wollte fragen wo genau die Position bei 1:49 ist? und darf man dort ohne Probleme spotten? würde mich über eine Rückmeldung seeehr freuen! :)
2:40 that school bus driver is really a good man ❤
well, it's only about one mile north of the airport terminal. it's right at the airport road.
i love this video...great work!
Pearson has "rush hour" just like the hiways do. Go to YYZ arrivals and you can see the schedule for all airlines arriving.
There's a soccer field in D.C the airplanes fly this low over the field while your playing and you can also see the pentagon
Cool I've been right were that guy was standing
Nathan Perilli ☺lucky you :)
Someday,I want to go to This place!
there's always a little child trapped inside all of us, just look how adults also enjoy watching airplanes land!
Can you imagine just sitting in traffic and a giant plane flies over your car?
I love going there to watch planes overhead
Really nice video. Your videos are so sharp. You record in 4k?
Thanks🙌🏽 since summer 2020, the videos are 4K.. that one from Toronto actually not, that was unfortunately way before 4K cameras were affordable😅
Spotters paradise!!!
This video is a salute to my relatives Sandor Farkas and his wife, Teri Farkas of Mississauga and my other cousin Pamela Bleasdale of New Lowell, Ontario (east of Barrie).
Awesome !! Nice videos
hello from 10 3/4 years into the future. Transaero no longer exists. rip. Nice video! seems like way more people enjoyed planespotting over a decade ago! lol
