I am a Celt. Mostly Irish with a some Welsh and maybe some Scottish. Overall I am mostly Celtic. I feel connected to this spiritually.
It just provides with an escape from the real world and all the issues within. It makes a change from some of the real degrading music out there nowadays. Sometimes, this is why traditional is always better.

Ok I just want to clear something up...some of this is *scottish* and really it's hard to tell the difference between our music and Irish. It just shows that in all the English speaking world, we are the most epic! I'm from the Hebrides and I first heard this type of music there. For years after we moved I heard nothing more of it. My mum (who isn't Scottish) tried to forget about all Celtic stuff, until one night when I put on a Celtic CD and we were both dancing to it for hours. Don't try to forget who you really are, because who would want to forget being this epic?! My mum might not be Scottish by blood, but she is in her heart. I know there are lots of people here who aren't Irish/Scottish/Celtic, but I bet you are all in you're hearts!

This music helps me out so much when I am in a bad mood or just upset. It empowers my soul and makes me feel strong enough to do anything. It takes me out of reality and sets me with my ancestral family in Scotland (Clan Frazier) , I may only be 17 right now but I can't wait to go back home!
I finally was able to go to Ireland last year at 69 and it felt more like home than home! If I didn't have family here I do believe I would move there. The country is supposed to have more young people than most other Countries in the world and that's how it seemed. Check it out!

I used to be a 60s rock guy, but i find myself listening to this style of music way more than the stuff i listened to. I have some German and Celtic blood in me but no real ties. But i just love the tones and vibes of this music, the power, peace, and just i can do it feeling. I love music!

I have Irish blood so this kind of music brings me closer to my roots. I listen to this when I am studying, need motivation, or just want to relax. Right now I am becoming an entrepreneur and this is helping me keep my work steady! Thank you. Later I will probably make up a choreography dance to this with my son. He LOVES Celtic music and he's only 4! :D

Whenever I think about "Celtic" I think about elves and a faboulous adventure. This compilation of celt music is perfect for the story I want to write!
As a person of Celtic origin . I dont think about elves . But about other Celtic people. Our Joy's and our sorrows .

Superb celtic music!!! Greetings from Romania! We also have a strong celtic heritage because in many parts of Romania lived many celts (gals). Places like "Galati" town and area name come from the gals that lived there. Also many celts lived in "Maramures" area(the music there has many similarities to the celtic music), or in "Apuseni" mountains, from Transilvania, men used to have long braided hair, remaining as a celtic cultural heritage after romanization(search for "Horea, Closca, Crisan, 1784" romanian national heroes, and see their images to prove it.) etc. Traditional romanian whistle(pipe) music is also very similar to the celtic one!
Plaiul Nou Music Band, I have Romanian friends, here in California (weird, huh?) and they are really awesome people! Those Celts, really got around, huh? I'm an Irish, German, Cherokee, American and I love me, some good Celtic music! "Boudicca! Boudicca! Boudicca!" That was one pissed off Iceni! LOL!
This type of music really helps me with studying, turn it down a bit so it becomes like a background noise, magic!
