Eddie was literally the first comedian I ever watched, and I related so strongly to her queerness even as a young kid, but didn’t know why, until now, because it’s been almost a decade or more since I’ve watched any of her specials. I’m SO happy to refind her and see what she’s up to now. And she still inspires me. God bless. ♥️♥️♥️

Eddie is a brilliant, insightful, compassionate human being and I will call her whatever pronoun she likes. I’m still trying to understand and learn, but it doesn’t hurt to show others respect and compassion especially those so deserving of it.
I won't, it would be insane to be talking about old comedian shows I watched in the past and say "she".
I discussed this lately with a colleague and we both ended up laughing. It's embarrassing.

@Louis Kirkwood And in 2010 he said he was a guy who just likes to dress in "female" stuff sometimes. And in 2019 he said either pronoun was okay depending on his "mood" that day.
He is btw no "boy" or "girl" but a 59 year old man. Wearing a dress doesn't make him "female", wearing a stuffed bra doesn't make him "female", wearing nail polish and lipstick doesn't make him "female". But if he sincerely believes these acts do, I believe he is sincerely confused. It strikes me that the people most holding such strict and superficial views on "male' and "female" are the ones going around calling themselves "fluid"/ Quite ironic really!
So, just wondering..is Eddie going to take a 15.5% pay cut now that he goes around "being a woman"?

Eight toes, and two we all certainly could wish to be opposing as well we refer to them as the big toes.... I cannot count more than that when it comes to extraordinarily funny and life-changing someone like yourself can be and have been for many many years, the fast thinking extraordinarily fall on the floor laughing funny individual as as many fingers opposing thumbs toes and big toes that I have the most important of those are the opposing thumbs only because they're the only two digits where we can actually bring things together physically.. everybody has those but there are only so few that know exactly how to use them.. meaning exactly that you are in my top quick thinking in always funny giving people a laugh from the belly... You have a very special occupation most likely something you were born with as to quick wit fast thinking and is truly hilarious... Really quite lucky for you because there aren't that many in your sense of occupation they can do what they do just as they are.. thanks so ever much being who you are watching vids as far back as I can remember at the moment.. thanks very much for all the smiles and falling in the aisles.. and as well the body aches and pains from laughing with zeal

I see it more shades of grey, I support the SNP because long term goal I wish for Scotland to be free of the UK. @@cutter7119 I don't necessarily see the world in a black and white way, but it's super important to establish where the extremes of either of two competing ideological political world-views take you before starting to navigate the nuances of an actual position.
Go too far to the right, and you have unfettered individualism - anarchy, with no society, no state and no law.
Go too far to the left, and you have a dystopian authoritarian state that crushes individual freedoms - as we've seen in the 20th century, with communism and fascism.
Move in towards the centre ground, and you have a choice between a controlling tax and spend Labour/SNP model or a lower tax, lower spending and more personal freedoms conservative model.
Although I'm not Scottish, I'm particularly wary of the SNP, because over the last couple of years, they are very obviously steering away from that centre ground and towards a much more authoritarian "far left" position with their attacks on free speech and excessive mandates.
I completely understand the urge for self-determination (I supported Brexit) but in the case of the SNP, it feels like an incongruous add-on to their other policies and completely inconsistent with their stated aim of re-joining the EU and immediately relinquishing the independence that they say they want - they wear national pride like a skin-suit to gain votes from the Braveheart generation.
If I were Scottish, I'd be much more inclined to support the Scottish Libertarian Party, but in the short term, pragmatism would dictate that I vote Conservative.
While I watched the interview I felt that at one point during the interview it was or may have been a tricky conversation or perhaps a delicate question/answer, but answered succinctly and professionally.
There were during the interview several moments where I related to Eddie.
That was a wonderful interview. My wife and I saw Eddie November 20, 2021 at the Jubilee in Calgary and we really enjoyed the show. 🙂

Eddie is an amazing comic, period; which is something he biologically can never have because he is not a woman. So why then is he being referred to as her when he is male? For instance, if Eddie died and was buried in an unmarked grave, hundreds of years after his death his bones would reveal that his gender as male. I really don’t understand this whole trans thing that is going on right now.

I didnt know that Eddie was now identifying as a she. But I do remember listening to Eddie talk about how only feeling comfortable dressing like a woman, and wife supporting. Spoke a bit about how it wasn't anything sexual, it was just how ("he" at the time felt comfortable). I really respect Eddie' intelligence. It's not my place to judge someone, and I can't accuse a brilliant mind as anything but that.
Sometimes you have to just appreciate things in life without letting what you don't understand (because we are all unique) ruin your experience or worse, ruin everyone else's.

I didn’t know until the last few weeks Eddie is transgender. However, I always just loved the queer vibe with the makeup and the high heels. So fabulous to behold Eddie Izard’s stand up and I am always so grateful to see folks normalizing LGBTQ existence and expression how we choose to express ourselves. It just warms my heart.

I used to really enjoy Eddie often falling asleep listening to his comedy. However when I attended a university lecture in which Eddie would talk about pro Europe v a professor (I think) and Eddies argument for the debate was stay in Europe as Greece is cool and he /she (careful not to offend here) liked swimming there lol. I voted leave as a result 😎

She’s a legend very talented and does clever put together things I mostly remember her for a joke about Engelbert humpadink and his producers trying to come up with a name of him and it was about the process of how they got together to come up with a stage name!
