The original is the original that people fell in love with. This isn't THAT much different. It just doesn't have pitch correction as much as the first album. I can still listen to the first album just fine.

Some of the inflections leave a little to be desired compared to the original. But overall it’s better, as a new periphery fan (got into them December 2022 but have listened to nothing but them for 6 months) I actually really love the purity of the p1 vocals. P4 got me into the band, and I absolutely adore p4, but something about the og p1 feels so… unique. I love it. He added some changes and inflections that take away some of what i loved about the original, but the sound quality is amazing

Some parts of this are better, but IMO the original is a little better. I even liked some of the change ups in this too, but I prefer how he held certain notes and did lower screams in the original

Which to be clear I don't mind on the other albums, but it seems really out of place here. I love Sponce and absolutely agree with Misha's decision to keep him.
He's definitely gone poppier as Periphery progresses. I love this band, but P4 is their weakest effort with weird songs like Crush and It's Only Smiles

It's only smiles, being a happy upbeat song about Spencer's sister's suicide definitely had it's place on that album which was overall pretty dark. Fans had the same opinions on every album since P1 though, so your comment isn't surprising.

The original version of this song is so much better. I think that a voice so high doesn't fit with Periphery's old songs. I listened also Jetpacks was Yes and all new materials with new vocals and i didn't like them.
Alot of people it seems feel that way, personally I love the re-records of the vocals, Spencer is my favorite vocalist of all time, and with that being said I do not like his falsetto that much on P1, it's very flat and nasally, his vocal chording and articulation on these tracks to me are alot better.

i think they mixed the instrumentals slightly different. there's a lot of differences on racecar for example, even extra drums if i remember

Spencers new vocals are amazing but undoubtedly cringier than they were in P1.. I feel his voice in the original P1 fit the album much better.
