Might be fun to have one of you build a fortification on land that has aiming cannons, and the other a pirate ship with static cannons sailing around trying to get each other.
The ship. Only sail and rudder for propulsion ..... NO engines or propellers. The fort. Matches the ship in firepower and can use anchor blocks as defense , like having palisades.
@@MOTHDADDY1 It's joke that has been floating around the Space Engineers community for years. When the physics around mechanical parts starts freaking out we call it "Klang". "Lord Klang" is an extension of that joke (essentially the "God of Klang") to the point even the devs started getting in on it. You can see a exploit that abuses these weird physics called a "Klang Drive" you can also spell it as "Clang Drive".
I'm afraid that this time it might have been a case of the Kraken of Kerbal Space Program, but further investigation is necessary to determine the invaders identity.
Suggestion to prevent having to put the camera underwater is making the azimuth NOT use the camera controls and make only horizontal use the camera, so combine manual and camera servos. Fun fight.
I was thinking this too (halfway through the video as I type this.) Maybe have some logic-based presets for aiming height; close, medium, and long-range. Or just have an up/down manual control. The camera going underwater just messes the aiming up too much.
You can add a constant angle servo onto the aiming servo, so it would aim the cannon e.g. 30* above where you are looking. This would also make it impossible to shoot directly down at yourself, even with 30* of mouse tracking range (30* constant up and 30* mouse down, which would aim the cannon straight ahead), while increasing the upward range to 60* (30* constant up and 30* mouse up). I'd also like to add that the order of servos matters: if you place the constant angle one between the aiming servo and the cannon, the cannon will aim 30* above where you are looking if you place the aiming servo between the constant angle one and the cannon, the cannon will aim directly where you are looking, but you won't be able to aim down (below 0*) and your upward range would increase to 60*
This video was so cool!! Incredibly cinematic. I've recently discovered Trailmakers and watching a lot of your channel over the past month, and this is definitely one of my favourite things you've done! Dogfights in space and air are really fun, but there's almost no games that let you do naval warfare like this (Black Flag is awesome but singleplayer, Skull&Bones is multiplayer but not as good) which makes this instantly one of the best pirate ship games ever. I would love to see huge battles of several players with full complexity mod Galleons sometime! Maybe experiment a bit with the retractable sails mechanic to get something like AC Black Flag where balancing between speed and maneuverability is crucial. You could also have multiple smaller ships (like Sloops) team up against a huge Galleon, like your (excellent) Squadron vs Star Destroyer video! Anyways, just wanted to highlight how much potential this idea has, and how unique it is in the gaming space (as someone who plays a lot of pirate games and studies historical naval warfare), I'm sure you'll come up with super cool ideas of your own!💜
Maybe it's just me but I always feel like stabilizers on the water is a little cheap. [Edit: I take it back, it actually still looks pretty natural. At least until the ship starts getting smaller 😅]
You need more restrictions. All of these things end up being a gyro pitch-roll-yaw control and stabilization block with space thrusters on it. They're just magic parts and they're as bad as energy shields. They'll still be ok videos but they're going to be the same as any other video. Like when scrapman's train just plain flew from the jet engine and gyros. It does get boring pretty quick, especially if someone else actually keeps to the theme. Also Trailmakers needs dedicated melee blocks.
You should do spaceship 1V1s or 2V2s with the new survo, or same thing but someone is in a big battleship type thing, and the other one is in like a destroyer, and you tske turns
Idea: 1v1 battle for yzuei and scrapman You build bases and make little rc drones and you take turns attacking eachothers bases. *Now heres the twist.* The base has multiple missiles that will launch into the air and spin and launch dynamite in all directions and after a time delay will explode. (Basically a flak cannon) Kinda a cool idea. Thanks for reading 😁
That's exactly what the Aiming Servo's are meant for. Yzuei and Scrapman are not manually controlling there aim thats the servo doing that, wherever you look that's where they aim (Mouse Control). The input segment of them is only to enable/disable the aiming servo's mouse aim, so if there on by default (Which they are), and you press the button on it you will disable the mouse aiming allowing you to look around without the turret turning as well.
I think you would have had an easier time if your ships weren't speedboats. :P After all, such small ships designed for speed with sail could get to around 14-15 knots (which is like...20ish mph? Too lazy to look it up lol)
Coming from Scrap's channel. I always wanted to see you perspective! Great! How about combining your footages next time for one cool video on both channels? Anyway, you have a sub from me :)
@yzuei new idea for a race I call it upgrade race similar to the evolution race you make a build in a set amount of time then race it after you throw away the worse car and evole the best car instead of throwing away the worse car in an upgrade race you swap cars then upgrade the car you receive example you scrapman and cosmo build a car and race then you swap with cosmo cosmo swaps with scrapman and scrapman swaps with you then you upgrade those cars instead of throwing away bad ones for an added layer of strategy you could have the worse car get more power cores then the winner say you got 1 min scrap got 1 30 min and cosmo got 2 cosmos car would add 3 power cores where your car would add 1
2v2 plane fight. One player is mouse controlling the plane, other player is mouse controlling the gunner seat

The idea of your ship having a mouth to open and crush the enemy ship reminded me about the ghiat ship of Salazar from Pirates of the carabbien
My thoughts exactly, just that this one is less spooky

I’m really enjoying these aiming servo videos! So much more interesting than auto aim because it really brings pilot/gun er skills into focus.
A submarine vs a plane with depth charges would be a cool challenge
They did this already…
@Shadowxat did they? I couldn't remember. I'll have to find the video

so guck8ng excited for aiming servos
I didn’t know that 14 minutes and 22.5 seconds is half of the vid I just got bored after the vid ended so I wanted to see what was half of the vid
make a dogfight but with only sails as wings (tell scrap if u like the idea)

Man you should utilize fireworks more. I love it when you become the firework man.
Y'all gotta get a big crew together for some team PVP. Capture the Crate!
Tbh yzueis pirate ship looks like that one ship from that one fortnite season wich drove in the island
The Megalodon?
@Shadowxat yeah that one
Do one with more guns, less speed so it becomes a real naval battle!
The ship is literally the sea of thieves burning blade man-o-war
Would like to see some upgrades to the Gundam with the new parts, and a space battle in the asteroid fields.
10:49 harmony has been reached
You guys should go back to the water dlc and fight over the kraken mouth again with the newer blocks. I really loved the last time you did that😊
There should be a configuration setting on how hard powercores explode
Then a lot of people would set it to its lowest value to "cheat" it.
@ no, i mean a configuration like gravity, not in the blocks themselves
Idea: ocean battle bots! That would be cool.
Battle bots, using the aiming servos to use the weapons.
150 blocks
1:10 actually the biggest bouancy blocks are the sails
Fun builds… I would love to see that with planes
If you do these battles in the high seas near the vortex it would be more epic
Underwater tank battle with scrapman
Mr. Ghillie, Leader of Assassins Navy approves!
This is awsome
Bomber dogfight with guns everywhere except the front and no gyro or energy shields
WWII bombers with actual control surfaces..... i'm down. TBH gyros and shields are just CHEATING.
2v2 Black powder bombers vs. battleship.
Sure, the turret servos are rlly good and all but they should be able to be controlled by the mouse...

2v2 no player title plane and tank battles
One person tank one person plane the tank has machine guns and cannon
