Aesthetically, feels like Kobe 5/6 vs Kobe 9/11. Both are amazing performance wise! Sadly returned my KD15 because I just preferred the slightest softer ride of the KD14. Heel slip was noticeable but def tried the runners loop you recommended and really helped solve that issue! As always, appreciate your taking the time for this one bro!
Thank you for bringing up the heel slippage in the kd 15s. That was a deal breaker for me. I've been wearing the past 3 kd models and never had that issue. This is a deal breaker for me and had to return. Brons don't have that issue at all.

Amazing comparison between the top 2 Nike shoes. I just find it hard to believe if the Lebron 20 will ever go on sale based on the first official release results. It was almost sold out within 2 hours for the Lebron 20 Time Machine shoes (currently not on the Nike site as of right now). It might have to be an ugly color way to make a sale possible 😂.
Great video! I usually play in the KD 14s and got the 15s because I loved the look and wanted to try the low/ less bulky version. But I've never really felt stable in the 15s, maybe it was mental or the heel slippage, but I ended up rolling my ankle TWICE in the 15s. I really like the look and setup for the LeBron 20s as well but now I'm worried about ankle support. Does the ankle support in the 15s and 20s fair the same?
I think the other reason many like mid/high top shoes is because the extra height usually results in better heel lockdown and restricted internal movement because with the extra laces (until Kobes changed that). Most good low-tops handle those just fine now, but it still goes back to most not understanding what true ankle protection is: heel lockdown, lockdown that prevents internal movement, and a wide base to prevent tipping.

The Lebron XX has a carbon fiber shank plate + it contains the heel and corrects the heel slippage y’all hate in the KD 15. That’s why it costs $40 more. That carbon fiber shank plate is what makes NBA players want to keep reusing their protro Kobe VI’s and asking for PE’s
I have a Nike product voucher coming so I’ll be able to get either of these (Lebron 19 forefoot zoom bag popped). I have the choice of either of these. I loved the 19s for the insane cushioning (5’11” 205lbs with knee issues, 36 yrs old). Would you pick the KDs for forefoot impact protection or the 20s? The higher off the ground the better for me, I hate feeling the court now at this age.
Which would you say is more narrow? As a wider foot I've tried both the KD 15 in 11.5 and 11 (my tts unless super narrow) and the 11 does fit a lot better with minimal heel slippage. They did feel tight at first but after two shooting sessions they felt good. Thinking about the Bron's but not sure what size to get. My foot is more wide than long. I also have the Jordan 36 lows in both 11.5/11 and the 11's fit better, but discovered pretty quick they have zero ankle support rolled same one twice in 5 games.
Just got a pair of the XX's couple days ago and there currently my new favorite shoes, second being my GT Jumps and believe it or not my LeBron 19's(Fastfoods) are 3rd!!!

KD 15 is too narrow, it hurt my feet for the first few minutes every time I play with them. Can’t go half a size up because of the heel slippage issue. But after few minutes, it become comfortable and nice.
Nope. Although aesthetics are important, the performance (if you watched the video) is off the charts. If the shoe DID NOT perform well and STILL looked like a Kobe, I wouldn’t like them at all.

The 15s should've had another row of eyelets for the laces. Last row ends too soon on the upper.

Court feel is really close. KD’s feel lighter to me but only if you can get past heel slip. If you have heel slip it will feel heavy.

If you want a midtop that has more cushion (and plushness) get the KD14. If you want a responsive lowtop get the 20’s.
