I had the honor of knowing Honeyboy Edwards. It warms my heart to experience projects such as this one to highlight not only the artist but the times in which the artist lived. Honeyboy Was A Hoot!
@@ryan72232 It Was! It was such a pleasure to sit with Honeyboy. He lit up whenever Bonnie Raitt was nearby. She was very kind with many of the older blues guys.
Thank you for posting! I saw Honeyboy once and Homesick James was brought out to play a few songs with him. They both turned their chairs about 45 degrees away from the other. Did two or three songs. As Homesick walked off stage, Honeyboy was turning his chair back to face us straight on. Would love to know what happened that had these two men in their 80's still so pissed that they wouldn't even look at each other.
I'm not so sure they were pissed at one another. My Grandfather was Robert Lockwood Jr. He frequently complained Honeyboy was off key, off pitch, off his rocker and sometimes just not so great to perform with. They were Good Friends. Grandpa and Homesick James were a bit more polished in their styles.
Wonderful Story. Thanks for informing people of this fascinating time period. This Music really is the beginning of feeling and simple raw pop hits. It's international, some people don't understand.
Thanks to whom ever took the time to download this.... I do not agree about the rap & the blues ... That being said .... what ever blows your dress up...is OK wit me... I have nothing against Rap or Rappers, just as long as I don't have to listen to it or them...
