This hits all the notes of how EPIC the original soundtrack to the first game installment was. I remember really thinking then how much I had never seen a video game spend so much resource on the music before. As a music guy, I really appreciated the Anthem quality of the Halo soundtrack, and this take is very Zimmer-esque, with notes of Pirates of the Caribbean in there. It feels like being on the deck of a massive ship on the sea, or in space. LOVE IT!!!!

Someone took an idea and made it into a tv series for anyone to understand and enjoy. Not a gamer but have discovered Halo the last 6 months. Love the TH-cam vids and the books and listen to Halo OST music daily. As a sci fi lover it’s great. As a Halo fan I still love it. Even it’s bloopers, different time line
honestly I'm warming up to the show. I'm glad it's a totally different timeline (can't frick up existing and established [ok a bit] lore). The budget definitely shows (Chevy Tahoe, AK 47/74's? Bruh?), and some lackluster quality control (forgot to texture plasma pistol, crappy ar sometimes? chief jumping around weirdly...) it could've been a lot worse. If I watch it while forcing my mind to ignore previous lore and pretend this is a different Master Chief (because he is) it's not all that bad. Saying this show is great and flawless is objectively wrong, saying this show is garbage and utter trash is also objectively wrong. It's a flawed Sci Fi show that has some generic elements to it and is basically meh. Not a 10/10, definitely not a 1/10, at worst it's a 5/10 and at best it's 7/10. It has its moments. Also at least they are sticking a bunch of callbacks in the show, recent example for me being UNSC Stalwart Dawn, a Stalwart Class Light Frigate (that btw looks really f*cking nice in the show) that was providing air support and ATC over New Alexandria in Halo Reach while the city was under siege from 3 SDV Class Covenant Corvettes.
We need to support good work. This is good. Halo series has a lot to give to us because it is good, it is promising. We all should stand up to this as a fan since this is our biggest opportunity.
