I appreciate all the good things you said about these humidifiers. But, I'm looking for any problems to watch out for. I just bought two humidifiers. Both were a waste of money. The first one cost $25 and isn't a real humidifier. It's just a fan blowing on a wet plastic sponge. The next one cost $70 Vivosun 6L. It keeps turning off because it thinks the room is at 90%. But, it's actually at 50%. Also, if you turn the fan up to level 3 the floor starts to get wet and it turns off with a red light. Also, it turns off every ten minutes because the plunger keeps getting stuck in the tank and it thinks that there is no more water and it shows a red light. Then, I have to manually pull up the plunger about 20 times a day to make it come back on. Total waste of money. I think I'm going to have to buy the $200 one just to get a properly working machine. I can't believe how many rip offs there are out there.
levoit classic 300s seems to be the best bang for the buck we have forced air heating and in the winter you could spill a 1/3 glass of water on the floor and in 2 hours the spill would be gone!
Can't recommend the Levoit 6 liter. I've had it for 2 years and if you have it near a natural light source, it grows algae inside which is impossible to remove due to the design inside the tank. Do. not. get. it.

Pure enrichment also grows mold and it’s impossible to clean
I recommend adding a bit of vinegar to the water. It helps.
