Wow ! I'm glad that I came across your ch it takes me on and off with him for 12 years, but most of it was i think it was me who loved him the most and I am so glad that I don't answer his text or call anymore and I am happier
I'll be 67 this year. I haven't dated for years and I can't even imagine putting up with any of that ridiculous drama that most relationships entail. I have a great life that I won't give up for someone else's version. I spend most of my time alone. I like it better that way. I used to desperately need attention, now I give it to myself. I love me, finally, finally, after all those years. I will absolutely not allow anyone in my life that doesn't treat me with respect and love. I am an introvert. I read, I watch you tube, I am an artist, and I enjoy my home. I have friends, but I don't need them to regulate my mood. I do that.
You have described exactly the way I feel. I am 69 and have not dated (steady) since 2005. Tried internet dating in 2015 and that showed me I am more happy and fun on my own than any man could ever make me.
You sound like me. I've been married for 62 years and I spend my time much like you. I also attend church & belong to a book club & take care of my physical & emotional health, and enjoy my children & grandchildren so much. If my husband doesn't want to do what I do, I respect it and let him do what he likes ( like watch football), and I do my thing. If I don't feel like cooking, I heat soup or get out fixings for sandwiches & he usually makes his how I make mine. Over these later years I have had to remind him that I am not his mother and he is responsible for feeding himself when I don't prepare a meal. I've enjoy a stress-free, relaxing life once I took control of it.
Hello Carolyn, You and I seem to have the same perspective. I also feel I have a great life, and as you do, I spend the bulk of my time alone. You and I are also the same age. Seven years ago, I decided to start a dog-sitting venture, and I now have a handful of steady clients who hire me to stay with their dog while they are on vacation. One of them travels all over the world often, so I've developed an attachment to the dog over the past 7 years. I can't say I'm alone because I have the best company in the world -- with all my dog buddies who care for me unconditionally. I have a great time with them, and I'm thankful for the work, and they are the best company! I wish you all the best! Take good care. Happy New Year as well. (EDIT: I am also an artist!)
Well done you. That's the spirit. Mention of fixings for sandwiches made me smile as here in UK fixings only relates to carpentry and house repairs. Eg nails brackets screws and industrial staples. There is a man in India who used to eat screws but I don't advise it. Take care. @@marilynmccormick3731
You just gave me hope..... I'm 74 in a few years I will be living alone when my son and his wife retire and choose to downsize and travel. Thank you :-)
Thanks you for sharing. I have chosen to be single since I was 46 and quite successful. I am 54 now, have a stunning life and I would not change my stress-free lifestyle for anything in the world. Work, sleep, work-out, walks on the beach, coffees and breakfast at my favourite cafe! A very simple life, but so fullfulling. Greetings to everyone and a wise 2025.
Very well said 😁 I am in a similar position & I love the unexpected interactions with strangers that pop up throughout the day that make me smile. It's so lovely. Happy 2025!
@@sandys408 Often at first, yes. But then I think we sometimes trick ourselves into thinking all will be well - this time - when it obviously isn't. Applies particularly if you are in the cycle of abuse.
I had a younger man latch onto to me. It wasnt love or attraction but some manipulaters know older women are lonely. I'm still lonely but at least I'm not a fool. 🙋
I had one on a dating site who was 18 years younger. He tried his hardest, but I mean, really??? I hope you find your bliss and your passion. Take care of yourself. Thank you for watching and best wishes for a happy, healthy and passionate 2025! ✨
Based on my experiences, the majority of them are crazy weirdos. Far too many scammers. Easy to pick out too. Please don't get onto a dating app. They're really scary now.
I couldn't agree more. I only lasted 7 weeks on a dating app in 2018. It was disgusting, the number of broken, messed up men on there. Hurt people hurt other people. They need help. Finding a person with pure, healthy intentions on a dating app is rare! We all need to consider that dating apps are all about money for the app owners. They are selling false dreams and attracting predators.
I'm 61 and spent 28 years of my adult life in long-term relationships. Been single 3 years and loving it. I have a gorgeous dog who is my shadow. The joy of waking up in my own bed on my own is priceless. I have more friends than ever and a busy social life. Life is great. No plans to change it ❤
It's been 3 years now.. it's great to hear this .but for its more or less about climbing out of that defeated role..and for this I needed several things..my aspect was to recognize the cole relation with my coordination..and my knowledge..the lack of knowledge, would through me into in security always ..hope this helps. 🎉..find your joy
You GO girl! That's awesome! It's whatever works best for YOU! Thank you for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and fun 2025!✨
i have been a widow for 15 years now after a 43 yr. marriage. I love living my life alone and have never been happier. When you love yourself you don't need affirmation of your worth from someone else. You are free to spread that love to others without needing anything in return.
How do you learn to love yourself though? Our society keeps telling us that old women are not worthy of love unless they're physically beautiful. I know deep down that this is not true but sick of all the mixed messages from the media.
@@lindabolique72 We learn to love ourselves by stop looking to the outside world to tell us who we are. We need to look within ourselves to see the beautiful spirit that God has intended for us to be.
@@lindabolique72 You can learn to love yourself by realizing that the ideal partner lives INSIDE of you, since we all have our own, very individual, inner balance of both masculine and feminine energies and traits. Talking hetero here: a man will try to find a woman that represents his own inner feminine energy, which he has been forced to suppress due to societal norms. A woman will try to find the man that equals her own inner masculine being, which she was never allowed to truly get to acknowledge, let alone to know and love. This is also the reason why so many relationships strand: it is not until you have discovered and got to thoroughly know (and love!) your own inner "counterpart" that you can truly determine which "outer counterpart" best resembles your own inner one. Then, if two complete humans meet (meaning that they both know, own and love their own inner f/m energy and traits) there will be no need to change the other in order to fit the "dreamed partner", which actually already lives inside but whom we were taught can only be found "out there". I hope this makes sense to you. It was my epiphany after finally discovering that my own company felt so much better than the relationships i tried to get to "work" during half a century. Be well!
I agree with all the comments! I’m 67 and haven’t been in a relationship for 20 years, and I have no interest in ever being in another one, (at least in this life). I enjoy my own company and the company of my kindle and electronics. Maybe that’s what we finally learn as we grow older, how to love ourselves fully.
@@caroleckstein3541 very true, this! Relief at finally taking the time for ourselves! Who are you really??? You can’t know yourself when you are constantly wrapped up in others. 🩷
From the writer and great teacher Joseph Campbell, “We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us. Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain. Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.” As you have discovered on your journey toward joy, such profound and true words, “Follow your bliss”. The best of luck on your journey forward.
I am so glad you found your passion. You sound like me a few years ago. I was with this guy for 16 years. I finally walked away. Now at 66 I too have found my passion. Now on to a better life
I make up my mind every day to be happy, if its to be its up to me. Older men not all are looking for a nurse ot a purce, having a good relationship with myself is priceless. I am never alone, Gods always walking beside me. All relationships are lessons we need to learn. ❤😊
Lol, "a nurse or a purse!" Ok, out of a hundred thousand men, yes maybe five are not scammers. In fairness, women can be scammers too. At our age, it's best to nurture a good circle of friends we trust. Note to men, women of quality do not dress up in tight clothes with lots of makeup. I don't want a man who falls for that b.s. Rejection is the Lord's protection.
I’m an almost 62 year old retired introvert(extrovert when necessary🙂). I love my solitude, my grandchildren & being drama free. Some people mistakenly think that introverts need help socializing.
Wow, the timing of me seeing this video is perfect, I was with a narcissist for 4 years, and when we stopped seeing each other, i found the love of my life, and because i was trauma bonded, i ended up ruining things but i realized my mistake and did all i could to make sure i got her back.
its difficult to let go of someone you love, i am in a similar situation, and i do not know what else do to have him back, i have been dying inside, people actually think i am happy, i am not
I feel your pain , after trying out the no contact experiment that failed miserably, i had to find other means, i had to reach out to a spiritual adviser, it was brilliant idea which i never thought it was, but it worked wonders for me
You popped up in my feed, lovely lady. I'm 77 & what I have learned is that happiness is an "inside job". So sorry you were subjected to such cruelty, but your experience just proves that this life is a classroom & the lessons never end. You have a new subscriber & I look forward to your future videos. Wishing you the best in 2025! 🎉
Ain't that the truth!?! They never end. LOL I'm much stronger now as a result of this experience. It wasn't totally bad. There were good times too...just not enough of them. Sigh. Oh well, time to move on. Thank you for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a fantastic 2025! ✨
Narcissistic abuse, They know what they’re doing they know how to reel you in. You have to just get out and stop all contact to save yourself. They are addicted to drama, it’s not anything you’re doing wrong they want to create problems it makes no sense to you and it’s called crazy making behavior. Many women know what you have went through, I feel for the women who are still in those relationships especially those who are married with kids but you really just have to get out anyway you can. Great video thank you❤
I’m 68 yrs old and have been single for 20 years now. Had some relationships and even proposals but have realized that I am much happier this way❤ I just retired 2 weeks ago btw
This captivating video triggers a flood of painful memories from the end of my 6-year relationship just three months ago. The woman I loved with all my heart chose to walk away, leaving me grappling with an insurmountable sense of loss. Despite my relentless efforts to salvage what we had, I'm left feeling disillusioned and unable to imagine a future without her. Despite my attempts to move on, I'm drawn to express my deep-seated longing for her here.
The struggle to release someone dear to your heart is undeniably arduous. I empathize, having experienced a similar circumstance when my 8 year relationship concluded. Refusing to accept defeat, I pursued every conceivable avenue to reclaim his affection. Eventually, I sought the assistance of a spiritual counselor, whose wisdom and intervention played a pivotal role in reuniting us.
I haven't been successful in finding a single passion in life, but enjoy pursuing my interests. One thing that has helped me to move forward in a down period is the idea of "daily purpose". Much easier to wrap my head around than trying to find my passion, and results in forward momentum.
We all learn life lessons at different points. I’m 27 and walked away from my almost 8 year relationship to learn to be alone and prioritize my wants and needs and experience true independence. It’s been so hard but I’m glad I did it and I’ve grown so much in the last year ❤
I wish I had walked away at 27, really I do. I had been in the relationship since 19. The best thing that came from it was my beautiful son - but he was.a much later arrival.
I’m 52 and never been married, no kids. I learned a lot from observing other women, most of them married with kids. I could go on, but I think most women already know what it is I learned. That’s why the current social and political climate does not surprise me. I live a peaceful, quiet life. Bryon Katie said that if she had a prayer it would be “God, spare me from the desire for love, approval, or appreciation. Amen. I don’t have a prayer, of course, because I don’t want anything but what I have. I know the benevolence of life.” That last part is because about her not having that prayer is because she had already reached what some might say is enlightenment. Anywho, so I’m focused on the “spare me from the desire for love, approval, or appreciation” part. It has set me free and made my anxiety plummet.
I just came across your video. I am a senior myself, ( have to swallow hard when I say that), and I felt the same way. There are so many 20's and 30's doing videos on topics I am interested in, but I can't relate to their issues or life. I am glad to have found a few ladies who look like me and are doing awesome work in content creation on TH-cam. I am ( mostly) happily married for 46 years. I can't imagine dating anyone at this point in my life. But your ideas on finding happiness within and finding your passion I can really relate to. Congrats on creating your channel
I admit I did roll my eyes ! At the same time I understand that some people want others in their lives and some - like me - don't. I am very happy with my life alone and I am certainly never bored. I have so many interests and things to do. I am glad you are in a better place now.
For sure a better place. I knew someone would admit to rolling their eyes!! LOL Thanks for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a happy, peaceful and healthy 2025! ✨
I did not roll my eyes, because I could see my past-self in your story. It is a universal human experience. I keep a quote from the 13th century poet, Rumi as a reminder not to let myself be pulled in to these scenarios in the future. “Half of life is lost in charming others. The other half is lost in going through anxieties caused by others. Leave this play, you have played enough!”. As you can see, these interpersonal dramas have been happening to people for thousands of years. Your inner wisdom told you to “leave this play”, and when you you were ready, you shut that door. When you feel like you are missing the love-bombing, make sure to love-bomb yourself instead. YOU are someone you can trust to be loyal and care about you for the rest of your life. Also, good for you for starting a TH-cam channel! I subscribed and will be cheering for you!
Lori, I love that quote! And also your quote to "Love-bomb yourself". Thank you for watching and your wonderful feedback. Best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨
@@TheSoloSilverPath Glad you loved the quote! I forgot to say that I am really looking forward to your budgeting and cash envelope information for us fixed-income seniors!
Hello from Australia just found this video and very much enjoyed listening. I'm 54 and after 2 failed marriages I'm alone..it has taken me a while to learn that I'm ok and trust in myself but finally I'm loving being single. Have subscribed 🙂
@@craftinggoodvibes4182 it’s all downhill and fun from here on for you! You have done your part!! 😂 I was married twice and the second one cured me of any relationship silliness. Done… moved on towards joy and peace. 22 years later life is remarkable. You are going to find yourself and that is such a gift! You may or may not get into other relationships-your choice. But whatever you choose, do the work on yourself first and really get connected to you and your part of what you have had -or will have. Keep growing! And many blessings for your future 🩷
i lived this 18 years ago and have not given up my solitude ever since. I've tried maintaining friendships but even they let me down. So I'm back to making myself happy and it has to be good enough
Exactly! You never let yourself down, and if you do, it's your own fault! ☺ Thank you so much for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a happy and peaceful 2025!✨
I'm in my late 50s, alone, and just now finding my passion. I've been happy for a few years now, though, and I think it stems from gratitude. So, I would add gratitude for all things, great or small, good or bad, as a source of happiness. There's no way you can be down and out and totally unhappy when you're immensely grateful for all that you have, including the good people in your life, and the lessons that you are learning. Loving your videos. Keep 'em coming!
So true! And the nice thing about gratitude is that each day when you've found one single little thing to be grateful for, the list just spontaneously keeps growing and growing! 😀
I am 68yrs and quite happy with my present situation.I have a part time job and also I sing in church weekly. However i feel sometimes something is missing.Maybe having friends and going out occationally does help to fill up the gap.Thats my story for now.
I couldn't agree more, you are spot on. I bought up my family as a single parent and although I have had relationships though out my life, I have never had the urge to settle down with anyone. I am now 62 and content with filling my time with my passion of painting and doing some volunteering. I also watch youtube a lot, especially for art tutorials, films, documentaries and much more. I never watch TV. I do what I want when I want and never have to compromise my feelings for someone else.
Excellent insight, and thank you for sharing your experience and awakening. For those struggling and feeling isolated and confused, it helps to see there is light at the end of that tunnel. Yet, I think the finding the passion piece can be a big hurdle. At least it was for me. I retired at 54 due to illness and my career was such an enormous part of my identity and source of passion and fulfillment, that it left me bitter and lost for several years. I wrestled with disappointment and bitterness until I realized, as you, that no one was coming to give me fulfillment or purpose, nor should they. I had to heal myself and find myself all over again. It is a process, not an overnight success. But I have redefined myself for myself and life is much better, more fulfilling and joyful. Thank you again, for shedding light on this issue.
I really appreciate what you went through. So many of us (myself included) have had to deal with being blindsided by divorce later in life, only to be subjected to love bombing and other ridiculous behavior while dating shockingly immature men who should be old enough to deal with their issues and address their need for healing instead of acting it all out by hurting women. I am on the same journey that you are on, and your videos are helping me know that I'm not alone in my quest as an older woman (age 70) who is working to become comfortable with myself alone. As I stated in the comments of 2 of your other videos, I have gotten a ton of help with this journey in therapy, and after addressing and healing some childhood trauma (which, for me, had to be done before I could change my habits of thought), I'm finally moving into a place where I am able to practice self love and to learn to lavish the love I give to others onto myself as well. Your videos helping me stay the course, and most of all, you and the people who comment on your videos show me that I'm not alone in this. That's what I need more than anything else - a community of women who are over 60, single, strong, brave, and doing the work that will help us stand on our own with faith, love, and trust in ourselves. Thank you!
Congratulations on discovering the secret to happiness at 67. Some people live a lifetime and go to the grave without ever knowing this wisdom. Thank you for sharing your heart and your passion through these wonderful videos. God bless your soul, sweet lady. ❤❤❤
I've been widowed for 16 yrs, in my mid 60s now, a Mom etc. I did date after my husband passed, and was in a relationship that was suffocating. Thankfully I reunited with my first love from over 40 yrs ago. It was thrilling to be in love , real love, once again. Sadly he passed away. That was almost 3 yrs ago. I have chosen not to be involved with anyone since. It's been very freeing. I have my family, God, Jesus and that's all I need 😃 Happy New Year !
I was sad at first, then so happy for you, then I got sad...happy again though that you're doing great! Best wishes for a happy, healthy and safe 2025!✨
Happiness for me, comes from my relationship with my creator. He created me so he knows how to make me happy. This life is fleeting. The bible is 100% truth so after a very long time, finally found a good bible based church. I wish the same for you. Blessings
Many years ago I learned that in order to be happy I must be whole. I use the analogy of a baked pie. I don't want to be a pie with a piece missing, waiting for someone or something to fill it in. I consider myself the whole pie. My friends, my family, my acquaintances, my work and community are the topping, the meringue, the whipped cream, the cinnamon and sugar. So glad you got out of that relationship. We are the products of our choices, and this one seems to be a really good one for you. Best of luck❤❤
This is one of the best senior videos I've ever watched!!! I'm 74 and have been going through the "what can I do to fill my days" situation". I live with my son and his family and I have no interest in dating but you have given me some great ideas like volunteering, etc. At some point I'll have to look for a place of my own when my son and his wife want to retire and travel. It's a bit daunting but your video has given me the knowledge that it can be done and life can still be interesting. Thank you🥰.
I'm 73 and broke a long term relationship 18 years, good provider but he was a narcissistic and I made him leave because I just couldn't live with all stuff he was doing then go into rages and fits, my blood presure got up to 189 when he went into this other person so I ended it like almost 2 years ago and I'm more happy now, active love my freedom..No man yelling at me has been great, get lonesome sometimes but I was lonesome when he was here walking on egg shells..
It's very difficult to feel lonely when you're with someone. Sorry you had to deal with that. But, it got you to where you are now! Linda, thanks for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a happy, healthy 2025!✨
Im 67. I learned in my 20s that men lie about the most trite to major things. There are men who prey on women for entertainment and for financial gain. I learned to love and appreciate myself very early on in my 20s. I have insecurities like everyone, but if you just meet someone and they are lavishing praise on you, it's a hustle. I am honest in my delivery and it turns people off. And im okay with that. Everyone is not going to like you. They just aren't. Stop seeking approval of others and people will be much happier. You can Never take an online "romance " seriously. Glad you cut the jerk off.
Thank you so much for watching and your honest feedback...I appreciate it more than you know. I don't do online romance. I was actually involved (loosely) with this man. He doesn't live far from me. We all have our own stories. You're one of the lucky ones who learned at an early age. Best wishes and a happy, peaceful and safe 2025!
So proud of you. First, you had the courage to look in the mirror and second, you had the bravery to make the changes necessary to see a different reflection. I'm happy for you. BTW, I'm 68 and still growing/expanding too 😊
I went through something similar myself in a relationship and it was very hurtful. After that ended a year and a half ago I got into therapy because I do not want to repeat that cycle (X husband was similar too) I have been forced to take early retirement due to health issues, but I agree 100% we have to make our OWN lives full and exciting. Fall in love with yourself, don't wait for anyone else to... Buy yourself flowers, cook for yourself, you deserve it, find your passions and things you enjoy! For me, one thing I really enjoy is my church. I love what you are saying and agree 100%. Today was my first time finding your channel and I have subscribed! :)
You are a treasure and are beginning to truly mine what God placed inside of you long ago. Keep your happiness & smile ~ be you always! No one is worth losing who you are.
your reflections on change truly resonate with me. It’s incredible how life’s restlessness can lead us to profound revelations when we’re willing to embrace it. I’ve recently started my own journey of change, stepping out of my comfort zone by creating a TH-cam channel at 57. It’s been both challenging and rewarding, but finding contentment in the process is what keeps me going. Glad to see you finally got it. If you aren’t happy with yourself no on & I mean no one can do it for you. If you want to be in a relationship, you’re a grown woman act like it. You didn’t sound like one when you were first telling your story, more like when you were a teenager. Hope you continue to enjoy making videos.
Sorry you can easily get drawn in as I just found out a few days ago .. I'm an intelligent woman who loves myself and got my act together or so I thought. This guy was so enthusiastic and full on I got swept up in the excitement despite knowing better I thought oh I'll be ok why not accept the adoration! Fortunately I said exactly what I was looking for and he's drifting away .... even that was hard ! See easily done
I actually love not dating I am 67 and I really don’t need the drama, I love peace of mind and also love being alone, cooking, gardening, u tube there is so much to do reading working out, eating way better, what’s there not to love 😊
Keep it up! I can't agree with you more. Happiness comes not from without but within. No one and no amount of material possession give us happiness. It's within us. We just need to let it bud and thrive. Love, my friend. When you love, love without asking for return, then happiness comes to you.
Wise words. Wonderful to hear someone else has come out the other side and is happy too. I lived through many nightmare years but am now free and independent. Doing what I love and trying hard to bring love and laughter to others. I always try to be like Pollyanna and play 'The Glad Game'. Thank you for sharing your journey.❤❤
The best advice I have every received about dating after a divorce was......never go looking for true love. Trust me wait for it to find you. It is worth your patience. All the best to you 😊.
Debbie, thanks for watching and your feedback. I'm finding that I'm very good on my own. And, if it's supposed to happen, it'll happen. Thanks again and best wishes for a fantastic 2025!
i found it at 51. The secret is the less you care, the happier you will be. All human suffering is rooted to attachment and desire. I found by releasing all attachments that weren't worthy of me and all releasing all desires that are self serving, i became as free as a bird. To not care about being loved or liked by anyone is an amazing feeling. it feels better being loved. this can only take place, by loving yourself. after putting in the work you realize nobody really cares about you anyway. maybe a few biological family members do, but that is it and that's ok because most people dont even care about themselves and they cannot give what they dont have themselves. my natural state is to dance, sing and do cartwheels everywhere. people look.at me like im insane and you know what, i am insane and i absolutely love it. majority of this world is walking around in a zombie state chasing their next fix of dopamine, meanwhile im Mary Poppins dancing half naked in the snow in 25 degree weather singing songs to Jesus with the biggest shit eating grin. occasionally you'll see my dancing with my cats. they love to get down with me..all my neighbors hide in their house and watch. 😅
Well, I don't quite remember Mary Poppins being half naked in the movie...but, I'm with Hexxan and would love to have you as my neighbor!! LMAO You sound like a hoot! Jeremy, thank you so much for watching and your great feedback. Best wishes for a fabulous 2025!✨
Thanks. This is a great video! Love the topic. You were love boomed. I was ghosted by a so called male friend. I was 66 and he was 75 when this happened. 😮 It can be tough out there (even for us seniors).
Great message 🌻 Be proud of yourself for being strong enough to decide what is best for you. I’m a solo gardener in my early 50’s and I love the peace that finds me while I get lost in my garden. I started a channel 6 months ago and now I love making videos too! 🌻🌻🌻

I’ve been married for 45 years to the same man. We’ve worked through a lot of things. If I’m ever left alone I am not interested in revisiting dating, too old to begin that cycle again.
How absolutely wonderful of you to be vulnerable and allow us to learn something important today! I’m so glad you chose to have a TH-cam channel!! Thank you for sharing!
Giiirrlll, I was in something like this for 14 years. Even with many epiphanies. Please block him so he can’t contact you. I still feel an element of him being able to lure you back if he contacted you. Blocking is the only way. In solitary ❤
Awwww, thank you for your concern, but NOOOO, there's no going back to THAT. I'm so done with it. I have to trust in myself, and I do. Leonine, thank you so much for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for an absolutely AMAZING 2025!✨
Best wishes to you too, Teri! 💖🙏 I'm soooo happy you found your passion; you're already bringing some extra joy to my world. 🕊️ Your 'male friend' sounds a lot like my (soon-to-be-ex) husband! He was lovely in that 'love bombing' stage, but man, it's like living with someone with a split personality. He's nice for short bursts or totally indifferent (until he wants something) or plain nasty (yet, I steal his peace! 🤯). You're right! There's never a 'happy medium' with these energy vampires - they'll suck you dry if you let them. I'm one of the lucky ones! He's discarded me in the pursuit of reclaiming his youth (sex, drugs, constant texting for supply, and all that meaningless debauchery). It's emotionally devastating for me at times, but I'm coming to the (happy) realisation that I'm FREE! He doesn't want me anymore; that's a BLESSING in disguise. 💫🥂 Have a fabulous day; I look forward to your next video. 💖
I am so sorry you went through this and I apologize for that. You’re so sweet. Thank You for letting me know what”Love Bombing means”. I am so happy you walked away. You’re teaching me something. I’m 60 years old and won’t date anyone again.
It's unfortunate there are so many broken people. It's makes dating a bit scary. Heather, thank you so much for watching and best wishes for a fabulous 2025!✨
Ooh this sound so m familiar, I am 56 and a very similar thing happened to me. It was 18 months ago and now I am happier than ever. I have good friends and family a good job, I own my house and have no debt. That’s enough for me, I am much happier now.

ln 2025 I highly recommend everyone read Your Life Your Game by Keezano. It beautifully shows how connecting with God and building meaningful relationships can lead to spiritual growth and success in both your personal and professional life. This book truly changed my life, I've finally become a completely happy person. God bless💗
Congratulations on finding your own happiness path. I learned to love myself and started my TH-cam Channel last year at Texas Nana's Place. I am 68 years old.
@kathybradshaw5777 Hi fellow Boomer!! Congratulations to you too on your channel! It's an amazing thing. Kathy, thanks so much for watching and Best wishes for continued success!!
You seem to have recovered nicely for only three months and gaining the wisdom that you have. Congrats for finding freedom. Its been a long road of recovery from codependence for me, . Depending on other people and "things" to make me happy. Yes finding a passion certainly helps with learning how to love yourself and not depend upon something external.
This is my therapy and my happiness. And everyone's comments have been so warm and encouraging. It's beyond amazing. Hang in there Zoe. It took me 68 years to get here. LOL You're ahead of me! Best wishes and a fabulous 2025!
@@TheSoloSilverPath I am 75 now. Not sure if I am ahead of you, but still on the road to recovery and so much to learn. I think my biggest hurdle was closure and acceptance of reality. Thank you for kind words. Best to you in 2025.
You said it so well. I’m a 3 month widow, I’m walking this grief alone. I have no support. I feel it is what it is and I’m going to learn the world again on my own after 32 years. I have to walk the walk. I’m positive I’m never letting anyone as far as a partner I mean. Be in my space. The rest of this life belongs to me. I will find my way. I’m giving myself this brutal winter to process and in the spring I’m Hoping I’ll be stronger. I have found some amazing ppl here on TH-cam craters to. Ppl o know you would enjoy. I lost my son in 2020 and these ppl were there for me. Thanks so much for your story new friend. Pinkee jean I know you will Like Mary Catherine loves cats. 🤗
So Sorry for your loss! Becoming single this way is much more difficult. Take time for yourself now for sure. The people here are fantastic!! This has blossomed beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for watching and your feedback. I hope 2025 is an amazing journey of self discovery for you and it brings you peace and happiness. ✨
@ you have great content. Things ppl don’t want to speak of and suffer in silence. You’re right to the point. Seems you been through some things to be so wise. Great place for ppl to feel good about themselves and help each other 🤗
You stood up for yourself and I am super happy for you. They say, when somebody is not right for you, God will continuously use them to hurt you until you are strong enough to walk away from them or let them go. When somebody appears too attractive to us, it is usually because of our own light. Glad that there was self-realization and self-awareness on that path. You didn't lose anything at all. Proud of you! 🎉😊
I have been single for 18 years. I intend to remain single. I have no interest in massaging a man's ego, being his housekeeper ,cook or carer. I value my freedom and independence.
Thanks for starting your journey and bringing us along! I’m a senior ( happily married) and looking forward to your content in budgeting and creating a healthy life in senior years😊
Thanks for watching, Jane! I'm anxious to make the budgeting video, but unfortunately, it won't be for a while. Based on the numerous "How To Start a TH-cam Channel" videos I've watched, I have to stay true to my current topic of positive mindset and well-being...which is very near and dear to me. I'll finish expanding the 8 Ways to Love Your Own Company series, and will see if that's a good time to incorporate a budgeting series as well. Thanks again and happy, blessed and safe 2025 for you and yours!
@@TheSoloSilverPath I think you should go forward with your videos on budgeting because I think the people who are living single as seniors often are struggling living with only their sole income. I think it ties in perfectly with your overall topic of how to live a better life as a single senior. Just my thoughts. Regardless, I wish you every success with your new TH-cam channel!
Hmmmm...something to think about for sure. I will keep that in mind. I've been doing the Cash Stuffing for a couple months now and it's starting to making more sense as it applies to my income. I'll work on it. Thanks again for the feedback! 👍🏻
There is no key or secret to happiness. You find it in a million ways and these ways are all individual. I am 72 years old now but ... knew this when I was 20 years of age.❤❤

I’m so glad you found your passion after your negative experience and now all of us “silver surfers” can benefit from your wise words. I wish I find my passion too! I have liked and subscribed and look forward to seeing many more videos from you. I applaud your bravery in putting it out there. Wishing you an incredible new year. God bless you.
Susan, thank you for the kind words. Sorry to hear you've been through a similar situation. We come out of them stronger and wiser! Amazingly enough, I don't regret any of it because it got me to this point and made me stronger. I'm grateful it happened the way it did. Hang in there, you'll find your passion! Happy, blessed and safe 2025!
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I’m the same age as you and apart from a brief but unhappy marriage in my early twenties, I have been single ever since. I have longed for a partner to share my life with, however, over time I’ve realised self love is the priority. Nobody can make you whole, you have to love yourself above all others. I’m feeling happier now than I have ever been. Me, my lovely little home and my loyal dog by my side ❤
Congratulations on the success of this video! You have given me hope and inspiration for my new channel as well. 🎉 We are never too young or too old to learn to love ourselves. ❤

Hello, thank you for your video. I was in a relationship recently with a man who was similar to yours, it lasted less than 6 months, I ended it and have been so glad I did, 💚🌹
Second comment, after watching the video to the end…..This was brilliant.! So much hard earned wisdom here. As a songwriter I know said, “Fairytales have a lot to answer for.” All our lives, we are given the message through countless movies and TV shows, that when we find ‘the one’ we will live happily ever after. While that can give us warm fuzzies for a while, as you so perfectly say, all that is temporary. Reality is not that simple. I am a new subscriber and I look forward to more videos from you in the future. You are such a good speaker! I hope you hit 1,000 subscribers soon so YT will recognize you and do its thing. Then I will watch every ad they put up.😊. Good luck, and thank you again for this video. I can’t tell you how much of a positive difference it has made to me this morning. 💝
Wow. Thank you so much! All the warm comments I've received is overwhelming. I'm happy this has been a positive for you, your comment certainly has been for me. Thank you again and the very best wishes for a fantastic 2025!

I do that.
Well said
You have described exactly the way I feel.
Take care.

I've never tried any dating apps. I'm afraid no one will pick me. Or I'll get noticed by the crazy weirdo. 🥱
Based on my experiences, the majority of them are crazy weirdos. Far too many scammers. Easy to pick out too. Please don't get onto a dating app. They're really scary now.
@@TheSoloSilverPathagree. also the men you talk to are talking to many others and may have dated everyone on there.

You were dealing with a narcissist. I’m glad you’re out of it. Good for you!
i have been a widow for 15 years now after a 43 yr.
Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.”
As you have discovered on your journey toward joy, such profound and true words, “Follow your bliss”.

Nurse or a Purse…that’s a good one. 😂🤣

its difficult to let go of someone you love, i am in a similar situation, and i do not know what else do to have him back, i have been dying inside, people actually think i am happy, i am not

Narcissistic abuse, They know what they’re doing they know how to reel you in. You have to just get out and stop all contact to save yourself. They are addicted to drama, it’s not anything you’re doing wrong they want to create problems it makes no sense to you and it’s called crazy making behavior. So you haven't been single. Say it as it is.
Where did you find a spiritual counselor, and how can I get in touch with her?
Suzanne Ann Walters is the name of an exceptional spiritual counselor renowned for her ability to reunite you with your former partner.
Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked her up now online.
EVERYTHING GREAT IS WITHIN YOU.
I haven't been successful in finding a single passion in life, but enjoy pursuing my interests. One thing that has helped me to move forward in a down period is the idea of "daily purpose". Much easier to wrap my head around than trying to find my passion, and results in forward momentum.
Love that! It's whatever works best for YOU! Thank you so much for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨

@CristinaEvans-w2m I sure will?
Love the quote! Great words to live by. Thank you for watching and for your feedback. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! ✨

I am glad to have found a few ladies who look like me and are doing awesome work in content creation on TH-cam. I am ( mostly) happily married for 46 years.

Hello from Australia just found this video and very much enjoyed listening. I'm 54 and after 2 failed marriages I'm alone..it has taken me a while to learn that I'm ok and trust in myself but finally I'm loving being single. Have subscribed 🙂
Wonderful! You can do it! Thank you for watching, subscribing and for your feedback. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025!✨
@@craftinggoodvibes4182 it’s all downhill and fun from here on for you! You have done your part!! 😂
I was married twice and the second one cured me of any relationship silliness.
Thank you!
❤
Well said! Thank you, Ceil!

Not always a fun journey, but definitely worthwhile when you get there. LOL Thanks for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for an amazing 2025!
Good girl! Don't rely on others for your happiness.
This video is really about relationships and not about happiness. the title is misleading.
12:46 I am so happy that you have found your way. I identify with much of what you say. ❤
So glad that some of it resonates with you and is helpful. Sue, thanks for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨
Blessings
Thank you so much for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a wonderful, blessed 2025!✨
Rely on yourself and you will never feel left down.Glad you found yourself
Many years ago I learned that in order to be happy I must be whole. I use the analogy of a baked pie. I don't want to be a pie with a piece missing, waiting for someone or something to fill it in. I consider myself the whole pie. My friends, my family, my acquaintances, my work and community are the topping, the meringue, the whipped cream, the cinnamon and sugar. So glad you got out of that relationship. We are the products of our choices, and this one seems to be a really good one for you. Best of luck❤❤
Patricia, thank you so much for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a happy, safe and prosperous 2025!✨
Amen! This is so true for all of us! Be a mentor for a young person who needs whatever you can give. Sparkling 😊❤ I really needed to hear this today!
Hi Teri, I'm glad you walked away and found peace. I wish you well :)
Thank you🥰.
Barbara, thank you so much for watching and your feedback! Yes, the answer is within. 🥰 Best wishes for a fun, exciting, activity-filled 2025! ✨
You can do this😊
I'm 73 and broke a long term relationship 18 years, good provider but he was a narcissistic and I made him leave because I just couldn't live with all stuff he was doing then go into rages and fits, my blood presure got up to 189 when he went into this other person so I ended it like almost 2 years ago and I'm more happy now, active love my freedom..No man yelling at me has been great, get lonesome sometimes but I was lonesome when he was here walking on egg shells..
When you rely on someone, you give out your strength. Love what you said. Thank you for the video.
Kira, thank you for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! ✨
Well done for walking away! You made a very fortunate escape

your reflections on change truly resonate with me. Thank you for sharing your story-it’s inspiring and reminds us that joy is often on the other side of discomfort. Wishing you continued growth and fulfillment on your journey. 😊
Thank you so much for watching and your feedback! What is your channel? Please name it here. We need to support each other. Best wishes on your journey as well and a very happy, safe and peaceful 2025!

I actually love not dating
I am 67 and I really don’t need the drama, I love peace of mind and also love being alone, cooking, gardening, u tube there is so much to do reading working out, eating way better, what’s there not to love 😊
Exactly! Agree 100%! Thanks for your feedback! Best wishes for a happy, healthy and safe 2025!✨
Thank you from the UK ❤
Keep it up! I can't agree with you more. Happiness comes not from without but within. No one and no amount of material possession give us happiness. It's within us. We just need to let it bud and thrive. Love, my friend. When you love, love without asking for return, then happiness comes to you.

I love to hear of somebody else that knows about the “glad” game. Haley Mills did such a great job in that movie.
The best advice I have every received about dating after a divorce was......never go looking for true love. Trust me wait for it to find you. It is worth your patience. All the best to you 😊.

That’s rubbish, love. I did just that - 25 years later I’m sill alone.
I hear ya. At this point, I prefer being alone, probably because it's still very fresh. Best wishes for you in 2025!
i found it at 51. 😅
Wow! I would LOVE to have you as my neighbour! Sounds like you're spreading happiness all around you! 😀

Thanks for watching, Jane! I'm anxious to make the budgeting video, but unfortunately, it won't be for a while.
