Many, many years ago before you guys were born it was said to be cheaper to give every car every option and it would actually be much cheaper than a seemingly lower spec car without the options checked simply because it made the manufacturing process easier. In my opinion manufacturers use options lists to wring every last penny out of us buyers, it would be refreshing to get some value for money reinstated as a worthwhile approach from car manufacturers! Good video Joe, your Aussie mate was interesting to listen to. cheers.

Love the car. Same spec I want but with the black wheels. The green looks a lot better with the contrasting wheels.

I was saying only the other day that you don't see many green cars on the road. This looks lovely.
Btw my first car was a Jade Green MK4 Escort.

Saw that car in that exact spec when I was in Stockholm. I really like the look of the RS5 sportback

Not many cars work in green, but this looks fantastic. Very cool machine!

Great review guys.. As an RS5 owner for over a year, I still love mine. Limited runs of these make them rare on the road.. The manual mode gearbox and engine pairing in dynamic has to be experienced. These things could embarrass some very expensive metal...

But how was your experience.. hear that the gearbox was kinda laggy.. and overal the feeling was very dumb.. if you compare this with an m340i g20 ?

This 4 door version looks way better than the coupe and love this colour🔥. Not an Audi fan but RS5 sportback is cool 👍

Out of interest Joe, what mpg you getting? I test drove the old 4.2 V8 and could see the fuel gauge dropping lol.

I feel ash might have benefitted from a plan of what's going to be said, it seemed the dynamic impression was just a bit washy, no real detail or depth. Joe seems to get this across naturally in his other reviews.
It's a great car overall by the sounds of it, jack of all trades, master of none
    Enjoyed the video 👍🏻

I think it’s a bit of a shame to black out the side window trim - one of the best design features of the car IMO. (S5 Sportback owner)

I bet he liked the M140i more because of the pure driving style, and the cornering. And the M140i isnt that much slower 4.1 seconds stock to 100 vs 3.9/3.8.

Good video. Without doubt a great car but Audi (diamond cut) wheel design across the range is abysmal at the moment in my opinion.

Review is a bit nardo grey if I'm honest. The RS4 is a far better option for the person who wants more from a car compared with a generic sports coupe. The ZF8 gearbox software in this Audi generation is not bad, far better than BMW's effort but the down changes are light years behind the previous generation dual clutch S-Tronic. As is the engine sound track!!! N/A V8 vs audio enhanced Turbo V6. The B9 RS4/5 has a plastic engine bay despite your best efforts to dissuade us; seriously...check out the previous B7/B8 V8 generations with their red cam covers and carbon detailing, then try tell me the modern plastic stuff looks good? Don't play your audience for fools Joe, tell it how it is.

To be fair though mate, the V8 engine was a dog... I had it in the B7 Manual form... which was fun at the time, as you could ring its neck with the manual... but it was utterly gutless low down, and had such carbon build up problems... The B9/new motor is OPF friendly and is definitely too quite - I shoved an Audi Sport product on mine and it sounds miles better... also pace wise, this car/RS4 ( I have the RS4) is an 11.7-8 second car out of the box, vs a high 12 second car of the B8... A quick tune and its pushing 11 flat... Also, having dynoed my old V8, plus seen B8s dynoed... The old car in reality was putting down at most 280-300bhp at the wheels max... circa 360bhp at the fly... with carbon built up, which is uber common, that number drops another 50bhp... Where as this new car is dynoing 370-380bhp at the wheels stock... no comparison really... agree the RS4 is the one to have, although I must say, ill be swapping to the new 6 when its out... it looks unbelievable

Sounds terrible. M4 has more agressive race sound note!
