This is definitely one of my favorite SNL sketches. They chose some of the best cast members from the whole roster for this one- A lot of my favorites in their perfect roles!
Am I the only person who liked this skit? It wasn't hilarious, but enjoyable. As someone who's worked in a cafe and for a food booth and is dating someone who works for fast-food, I can see these people as exaggerated co-workers, or even as costumers.
The most unrealistic thing about this is that the employee training isn't just an eight minute video that has nothing to do with the job and a five minute lesson on working the register from an employee who started last week
He crushed this skit and everyone he is in and also he is always the only one that doesn't break character when everyone else laughs. Most underrated in snl
That ending is the realist thing ever! I've helped open new restaurants and seen people get trained for maybe an hour before the first shift. It's such a stressful disaster when it happens.
I remember getting "trained" for maybe an hour or even less before I was expected to know every damn thing in that small restaurant. It was a high stress job and my boss was a raging alcoholic. Only stayed for roughly 2 months. The place closed down soon after. Good riddance.
Britney Colson I had that happen to me, I was trained for a few minutes before the restaurant opened on the first day. We had lines out of the door once it opened. I was fired three hours later for not knowing what the f*ck was going on
I am empathetic to this. Stores dont train & attack the staff for not already knowing. I worked with companies that have done excellent training & taught me alot. Plus I have alot of customer service skills. However, it's hard when you have skills & companies expect everybody to have the same level with no training. Its frustrating because I end up helping & teaching others what I know in an effort to help them. These companies dont budget training or hold new employees accountable to know anything about the business. So you end up with employees like in this skit🤦♀️🤦♀️
