I remember our FFA class at school we had a kerosene fueled steam cleaner we used on the tractors before they got painted. And I use to love our drive your tractor to school day.
Steve Morlock we put a wastegate turbo and some cam work when it dropped a sleeve 2 years ago. We can get 32lbs of boost with the pump set to full fuel , but no smoke. Putting it on a 10’ bagger soon.
Man that blue paint looks good when new to bad any rust or chips pop up so bad. Ive painter a few blue tractors some came out better then factory i wish i used beter harnder and paint. The paint job only lasted about 5 years of corse we dont take as good of care as we should lots of siting in fields and out in rain and dust and snow nex one im going to spent one some realy good paint and some heavy duty harner clears
I believe there’s 2 drain plugs, one under the transmission and one under the rear end, can’t remember how much oil it takes to refill it, probably 10 to 15 gallons. There should be a filter to change too, it’s not that hard to change the oil

Looks great.
Can you come paint my 8000?
Lol
I’d love to, so far I’ve repainted 5 of ours and a 9700 for a friend of mine . I’d like to repaint our 5000 this year
Very nice y'all! A lot of hard work there! That Ford blue sure is pretty! From Sophia, N.C.
Thanks a lot
We restored a 9000 about 16 years ago. Stripped the old paint and primed and painted with automotive grade paint. These old Fords can really shine.
Oh yea, I’ve seen that in some of your videos, have you ever put that 9000 on the chopper and made her blow some black smoke

Thanks, we’re in the process of touching up our 3600, had to get new rear tires and rims so we’ll make her pretty again too

Some beans are starting to turn but ours are still dark green, but the corn is all dented, probably won’t be ready till mid October
how many horses and what is the name of the engine
It’s supposed to have 110 HP. It’s a 401 cubic inch engine made by Ford
@@stevemorlock Thank you very much, I hope you have a complete 8000 tractor repair video. blessings
Looks darn good.
The plastic in the front grill. You can use plastic paint to make it look new, the FORD letters
I guess that is the one spot we didn’t paint, We’ll look into that, Thanks
Nice job
Thanks

I’ve had good luck with the paint from New Holland, seems like decent paint
Do you have information on changing out the hydraulic oil on this?

Great job on this blue legend. What type of paint did you use ?
We got the paint from New Holland, Found a roll bar for it, got that painted and put on it last week,
@@stevemorlock I saw this in your recently video. It's a nice safety feature and looks great.
Were did you get the paint
It was from the New Holland dealership, not bad paint
