What do you think of Gukesh's crazy queen sac against Magnus Carlsen? Also - who's getting pumped to see Gukesh face off vs Ding Liren for the World Championship Match this month? Go Gukesh!!!
11:06 Magnus should've sacrificed the queen taking the pawn at D7, Bukesh would have to avenge the pawn with the supporting pawn leaving the knight vulnerable king takes knight but the Goat remains the Goat
Sup big Mike! Just started following and I love the presentation and all of the insight and alternative lines you give perspective on. You should cast sports
@10.10, instead of going down on exchange by swapping his queen for a rook, Gukesh could have forced Magnus to swap queens by placing his queen on c4. Magnus cannot move his queen because his king is pinned. Even if Magnus tries to protect his queen with a rook lift to e8, Gukesh could still have bid adieu to both the queens. If Magnus removed Gukesh queen with his own queen, Gukesh knight on e5 will do the trick by removing Magnus queen. Finally all said and done, Gukesh position would have been far superior with his rook, knight, bishop and 6 pawns, with one of them just 2 squares short of queening, compared to Magnus 2 rooks, one knight and 3 pawns with none of them anywhere near the finishing line. Hence Gukesh exchange of his queen for a rook is really a blunder, especially against a player of Magnus calibre.
8:34 , yes quite dubious move. I think Magnus saw his c6 pawn marching as the only clean open option after maybe a rooklift (Ra4) and putting pressure on Gukesh's b4. Also maybe knight more in the center for defense and to block any forward march of white d6. Either way not the best option. He focussed too much on getting his c file open for a pawn push.

It was very playable and very interesting, only marginally worse than Qd1, and reached a very imbalanced position with decent chances with the passed pawns. Ok maybe not 100% correct, but in a practical game, I think it was very interesting!
Not sure what you're trying to tell me brother, sometimes I mis-pronounce things, I'm still getting better at speaking (I'm new to TH-cam LOL), but if I had to guess I'd say I messed something up haha

Yes the queen sac was not 100% necessary or 100% correct, he could have avoided it, I agree with your analysis! Nice work brother!

7:17 after gukesh does what? 🤣
At 15:10 why didn't Magnus take the rook after the knight defending it moved away?
I'm a bit pressed for time responding to as many comments as I can, can someone answer this for me?
@drmikechess MANDELA EFFECT
Magnus was playing a different game in his mind.
Haha he is always one step ahead of his opponents!
It was playable but those two mistakes made gukesh down.
Yes agreed, he did not follow up perfectly and got punished by Magnus!
Nuclear sac😂😂😂
Kaboom!
Please stop saying “on the board”😅
Ok brother I will fix that, thanks for the heads up!
its not a great sacrifice. its a stupid queen sacrifice. never sacrifice ur queen until and unless u are getting a clear advantage.
Whatttttt????????
