I saw him singing when we went to jaisalmer in d first week of jan 2015. He was sitting at d exit of jaisalmer fort and was singing by himself. We were drawn to him. It seemed as if he was singing from his soul. Such innocent face and mersemerising eyes.. However looking at his condition I couldn't believe him when he told dat his songs r uploaded here... but now I find he was right!!! Kudos to this man.. his simplicity and his singing. .
You are right. Today is 26 December'2019, and I came back from Jaisalmer just two days back. He still sits in the same place and sings with a great enthusiasm and zeal. I was recording his song when someone told that he has sung for coke studio too. Returned back, searched in TH-cam today and landed here. Definitely a very nice experience.
Hope government of Rajasthan recognise these talent and take them to world of music. He is already so old. Let world know this legendary singer his instrument and sweet voice with powerful rendition. He is so young at heart.i urge Rajasthani industrialist to thin about their past and do immediate measures to save our cultural, folk music and help these legends to atleast live respectful life.
This folklore is being sung in Sindh since 200 years , and it's Momal Rano dastan though Rano or Rana was Mahendra by name a Sindhi Sodha Rajput from Umarkot Sindh.
