"Wooh, thank god for Black & Decker" That is seriously one of the best one-liners in film history. I was kind of disappointed that Master Bong Soo Han didn't send anyone to Detroit, though.
The first 60 seconds of this review has convinced me that if I don't see this movie as soon as humanly possible, my life will be significantly negatively impacted. I love these reviews!
SuperPineapplejones The real announcer for the A-Team intro was the late John Ashley, who was one of the show's producers. He started out as an actor/singer who appeared in the Beach Party films with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. He later starred and produced some exploitation films in the Philippines, then got into TV on the producing side. He passed away in 1997, due to a heart attack while working on the crime film "Scarred City".
Billy Ortega played by legendary fighter Benny The Jet Urquidez check him out in Wheels On Meals and Dragons Forever amazing performances choreographed by the legendary Sammo Hung.
Great video. Rick Norton was also the stunt coordinator on "Suicide Squad". Also, Chuck Norris also made his feature debut in "The Wrecking Crew" with Lewis as an uncredited thug. Bruce Lee did the fight coordination on that film.
Dude, there was this Cult in Tokyo that started as a Yoga Class, it was called *Aum Shinrikyo* They made Sarin gas and killed like 10 people in Tokyo's subways
I remember seeing this movie as a kid in the 80s. I saw the listing in the TV Guide a few days earlier and I was really hyped. I was really disappointed when I finally saw it and realized it had nothing to do with the anime called Force Five.
You know I THOUGHT maybe this was familiar because I had seen a Rifftrax version but no, though that would be glorious, I actually seen it as a kid my uncle took me to see it at a ALL NIGHT KUNG FU FLICKS theater! I always remembered the THAT GOD FOR BLACK AND DECKER line lol !
I saw this movie as a kid. My older brother was into karate flicks. I only remember the scene with the guy blowing up the bull with a star. There is another movie called Kill and Kill Again that is almost the same as Force Five. The memories of those two movies seem to merge into one.
You gotta love a movie that features one of the Stork Brothers in "One Crazy Summer" ("Easily Excitable Guy") and Tina from the first "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (Cindy).
Damn, that cast - have great admiration for the action workhorses like Benny the Jet and Richard Norton (who also show up in a few Jackie Chan productions)
It was good to be a kid in the 80's. I actually found a decent copy of KaKA on DVD. It was very difficult. One of my favorite fake Martial Arts movies.
I just made a statement similar to yours @shamrock jim, my family couldn''t afford HBO and I had to go to my uncles house to see this movie, must have seen it 5x's
Han Bong-Soo was in The Kentucky Fried Movie is a 1977. The final segment is a parody on Enter the Dragon. Bong-Soo played another evil cult leader, imitating the actor from Enter the Dragon. "You have our GRAT-itude."
I thought Benny Urquidez looked familiar. Assassin from Grosse Point Blank! And long time kickboxing trainer for John Cusack. (You know. Kickboxing. Sport of the future.)
This movie was great!! I saw this at the cinema a few weeks after watching "Kill and Kill Again (1981)" which is the exact same movie! I mean really! Same set up and group make up. But I have to admit that Force: Five is the better film. Great review as usual, Cecil!
I remember seeing this film at a local drive-in cinema as a kid, but couldn't for the life of me remember the name of it or even find it at any video rental stores.
6:50 made me realize that I saw this in the theater when I was a little kid. The audience erupted on that one-liner. Was that in the original trailer or tv ad?
I remember when I first saw this when this came and while its campy as hell, it was still an entertaining movie. I'll never forget that line 'Thank God for Black and Decker' Funny as shit Cecil!
GoodBadFlicks- just wanted to say 'Thank You'. I truly believe I was the only one in the UK to remember its release as a kid and the stupidity of a bull as a nemesis. At least now I know it wasn't a vivid dream- no one I knew had even heard if it. Many Thanks.
I thought this originated with Adam Warren's Empowered comic - there is a very large doctor called Doctor Big Mclarge Huge but thanks to this review and the comments I see that Adam Warren was paying an homage to MST . I have learned something :)
Here's a suggestion for an episode: It! The Terror from beyond Space. It's from the 1950s, and is actually pretty unacknowledged, considering it gave Alien its plot.
Oh...Man!!! Always get excited when you bring up movies that I've never heard about and always make them funny as hell!!! Lol. Been a big fan of your work for a very very long time.
Interesting that Master Bong Soo Han, the bad guy in the spoof of Enter The Dragon from Fist Full of Yen in The Kentucky Fried Movie was cast as the main bad guy in this.
I'm very happy to see you cover a film with Richard Norton. I worked with him on the video game Tesla Effect, A Tex Murphy Adventure and he's an amazing guy. Also cool that he was the main villain in City Hunter(and later Mr Nice Guy) starring Jackie Chan and they have an epic fight at the end. And Benny The Jet" Urquidez also had epic fights with Jackie in Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever!
He's great I'm surprised it took me so long to get to a movie with him. Benny is great too, I'll be talking about him in a future video. Very cool that you got to work with Norton! (Also, I love the Tex Murphy games)
BigMacLargeHuge (how is this word not coming up as incorrectly spelled?) was the main adversary in the race from Gymkata. He gets stuck with a pitchfork in the pig pen. Has Gymkata been done yet?
Hey, you should put together a compilation of your favorite obscure Z-movie themes. Based on how much you loved the opening music here, that would be AWESOME.
That senators daughter gets kidnapped by a cult trope, I recognise it both from a Chuck Noris movie and from Mind storm It's the one where superman's wife, Lex Luther's wife and Emma Roberts dad all become a family along with general Lane/ Darkside from the 90's , Amanda from Kyle XY - abby from the bad Electra movie plays the young version of one of the characters, William B. Davis the cigarette smoking man is in it ...
I would love to see you talk about that movie with the Olympic gymnast, called Gymkata or some shit. It's glorious, and a man of your taste would appreciate it I think.
The spiritual sequel to Gymkata we deserve...but not the one we need right now
"Wooh, thank god for Black & Decker"
That is seriously one of the best one-liners in film history.
I was kind of disappointed that Master Bong Soo Han didn't send anyone to Detroit, though.
And said by an Australian as well!
The first 60 seconds of this review has convinced me that if I don't see this movie as soon as humanly possible, my life will be significantly negatively impacted. I love these reviews!
8:00 to 10:43 is sooo much history packed in a very short amount of time. This is why this channel is so good.
Edit: That last clip. Pure perfection.
You forgot the awesome Benny "The Jet" Urquidez! One of the best and most dominant kickboxers in history.
that a-team reference was on point.
SuperPineapplejones The real announcer for the A-Team intro was the late John Ashley, who was one of the show's producers. Hey, I just listened to an episode on this from The Last Podcast on the Left. Sweet coincidence.
+DreadTerrorFear
Thanks, Captain Buzzkill. :/
Same, I listened to this on a review of Oh-Ranger (power rangers zeo), as the reviewer explained why Super sentai had management issues.
I am always looking for more sentai reviews, any links to that review?
I think they had a helicopter as well.
Also, Benny Urquidez(Billy Ortega) played the Assassin (Felix La PuBelle) in Grosse Point Blank!
No kidding?!
To go with the other MST3K references; the Senator was also the sheriff in the MST3K riff "Squirm".
0:55 'they're stuck on the Y-part of YMCA' - now that is a funny observation! Respect +1
Thanks!
I'm still waiting for the unsuccessful pilot Fox Force Five to get a full season.
Jw Nj
Hahaha. Was about to make a similar comment. :)
They were really foxy. And they were a force to be reckoned with. Not sure what the five in the title was about.
3:26 :Laurie doesn't seem to know what to do here" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The upholstry in that camper van thing, oh my god.
Edit: the orange flower-print couch in that house at 6:30 aaaah
the Rev actually says "you're no match" I speak korean
"The cool aid can't get here quick enough"... is is ok to giggle bit ?
I remember seeing this movie as a kid in the 80s. I saw the listing in the TV Guide a few days earlier and I was really hyped. I was really disappointed when I finally saw it and realized it had nothing to do with the anime called Force Five.
That music is glorious.
bong soo han was also in the Kentucky fried movie as dr klahn with that line take him to Detroit
Ahh,yeah.I really miss watching these kind of classics...there are so many I don't know which one to watch first.
Perfect choice of scene at the end lol
Hell yeah!
I was in tears even after playing it for the 5th time. 😂
The one good thing about Monday, a GoodBadFlicks video!!!
:)
The theme is going to be my new ringtone. Temporarily replacing the disco theme from FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3.
Good choice!
I have never seen this film.... but now i am going to try really hard to find it and watch it.. I am really happy that I found your channel.
That was a review of extraordinary magnitude.
Thanks!
Was that a reference to Kentucky Fried Movie?
I worked on Enter the Dragon. also worked on a couple of films with Bob Directing. Like THE PACK

That was definitely a Good Bad Flick.
Damn, that cast - have great admiration for the action workhorses like Benny the Jet and Richard Norton (who also show up in a few Jackie Chan productions)
Yeah, I noticed how the poor Benny Urquidez didn't get much love and he has quite a impressive career.
Reminds me of Kill and Kill Again. Yeah, I was a kid in the 80's and had HBO.
MrSunnycrocket I re watched KaKA right after watching this video. Very similar plot
Shamrock Jim
Me too.
So was I, Baby, so was I.
This channel is a work of genius.
I said it before but I'll gladly say it again: your theme song is freaking awesome! 🤘🏼
Thanks!
Goood! BAAAAAADDDD!!!! flicksssssss.....
I saw this when it first came out.
You need to check out "Kill or be Killed" and the sequel, "Kill and Kill Again".
Car Zombie Eatery Hell yeah. :)
John Cusack and Benny Urquidez had one of the best realistic fights I've seen in the movie 'Grosse Pointe Blank.'
Big McLargehuge aka Carl was also "Otis" in "Head of the Family" . He is huge!!, run away, run away!! TY GBF
I thought Benny Urquidez looked familiar. Assassin from Grosse Point Blank! And long time kickboxing trainer for John Cusack. (You know. Kickboxing. Sport of the future.)
that scene at the end was glorious!
...And Amanda Wyss! She looked at those bodybags and thought of Freddy Krueger all over again! Poor Tina...I mean Cindy!
The guy at 6:13 was Tom Villard. He was in a bunch of good bad movies including Popcorn.
That was a super fun episode to watch. Good Job.
Thanks!
That Rocky knock off music intro would be perfect for a cartoon show theme.
This movie was great!! I saw this at the cinema a few weeks after watching "Kill and Kill Again (1981)" which is the exact same movie! I mean really! Same set up and group make up. But I have to admit that Force: Five is the better film. Great review as usual, Cecil!
Thanks for watching!
The reverends bodyguard was in the beginning of In the Line Of Fire. He also is like a real life Bigfoot hunter
Damn, once you said the badge looked like a uterus - all I could see for the next 12 minutes was uteruses!
I remember seeing this film at a local drive-in cinema as a kid, but couldn't for the life of me remember the name of it or even find it at any video rental stores.
The opening music was awesome
That last scene, though. I nearly pissed my pants. That's good humour.
Thanks for the review. This is one I don't think I had heard of. Going to add it to the list.
Thanks for watching!
Richard Norton used to teach my boss Karate in the 70s.
Wait, wtf! Isn't that Benny the Jet Urquidez!!??
I love your since of humor glad I subscribed
Thanks!
Richard Norton AND Benny Urquidez? This is probably the greatest movie ever made.
Benny "The Jet" Urquidez is very famous from the 2 Jackie Chan movies "Wheels on Meals" and "Dragons Forever".
Holy Fucking Shit!!! I forgot this film exists. I saw this in theaters as a kid.
lmao at that ending clip.
The same director as Enter The Dragon?!?! Jesus!!!
Thanks!
Ñisssssssssce 🎸
Saw it a bunch of times as a kid , time to get baked & watch it elevated 😵
That dude playing Billy Ortega is the assassin Felix La PuBelle in Grosse Point Blank.
You are very welcome!
The cult girl, she is the same girl from PUMAMAN!!!
No wonder she looked familiar. Pumaman is one of MST3k's most underrated episodes.
No, different girl.
THE PEW-MA MAN
Pewma-man is no match for Donald Pleasance.
Is that...was that...? Holy smokies it is! Amanda Wyss!
OMG! I get the Big Mc Large Huge reference.
I thought this originated with Adam Warren's Empowered comic - there is a very large doctor called Doctor Big Mclarge Huge but thanks to this review and the comments I see that Adam Warren was paying an homage to MST . I have learned something :)
A maze with a bull? Where's Theseus when you need him?
At 4:41 that senator is the guy who played the sheriff in Squirm!
Props for the Stripes reference. 8^)
:)
Here's a suggestion for an episode: It! The Terror from beyond Space. It's from the 1950s, and is actually pretty unacknowledged, considering it gave Alien its plot.
It's funny you make the A-Team reference cause this is where they got the idea lol
On top of training with Bruce Lee back in the 60s, Joe Lewis was also the basis of the design of Ken Masters from the Street Fighter franchise
Oh...Man!!! Always get excited when you bring up movies that I've never heard about and always make them funny as hell!!! Lol. Been a big fan of your work for a very very long time.
Thank you!
Interesting that Master Bong Soo Han, the bad guy in the spoof of Enter The Dragon from Fist Full of Yen in The Kentucky Fried Movie was cast as the main bad guy in this.
This channel is the BEST on YT.
Thanks! :)
Tried to find this on Amazon Prime or Netflix without any luck. Have seen Kill and Kill again, which is very similar, and also good
This needs a sequel ! Like sanmurai cop
OMG... I knew I made the right decision to support you on Patreon. The Space Mutiny MST3K reference made my day..... it's one of my favs.
Thank you so much for the support! :)
I recognize the villain from the "A Fistful of Yen" segment in Kentucky Fried Movie.
You're getting even better, Cecil. Wish you success.
Thank you!
Can you please do an exploring episode on F/X? The movie was a small hit back in the 80's and it still holds up pretty well.
sugreev2001
Yes!!!!!
Its on the list! That and the sequel
I'm very happy to see you cover a film with Richard Norton. I worked with him on the video game Tesla Effect, A Tex Murphy Adventure and he's an amazing guy. And let's not forget Benny the Jet. He's awsome
I was drinking some tea when the maze gate scream happened and I laughed so hard it came out of my nose LOL
Joe Lewis is a legend! I remember him from Kickboxer 3 or 4!!
Please oh god please make a exploration of Bloodmoon
redheadboyyy123 looooove Bloodmoon! Lol. I was a fan of Gary Daniels and I wasn't ashamed! Hahaha
redheadboyyy123 RIP Darren Shilavi.
Bloodmoon is outstanding. I'm holding out hope for a widescreen version.
GoodBadFlicks and maybe China O'Brien. Prefer Bloodmoon, but c'mon its a classic man!
That senators daughter gets kidnapped by a cult trope, I recognise it both from a Chuck
Noris movie and from Mind storm It's the one where superman's wife, Lex Luther's wife and Emma Roberts dad all become a family along with general Lane/ Darkside from the 90's , Amanda from Kyle XY - abby from the bad Electra movie plays the young version of one of the characters, William B. Fyre Fest joke was perfect
I would love to see you talk about that movie with the Olympic gymnast, called Gymkata or some shit. It's glorious, and a man of your taste would appreciate it I think.
I LOVE Gymkata
AWESOME!! It desperately needs more attention, and that's one bad flick definitely worth a watch.
loved this film as a kid!
BEST DAMN TH-cam CHANNEL
Thank you!
Norton was also in Spartacus as a gladiator trainer
Did you mention everyone but Benny the Jet? Come on!! He is the most legit guy there.
Dat kool-aid joke got me.
Awesome video as always. Could you please do a " exploring the faculty' video. It's one of my favorite movies.
Thanks! Its on the list!
So they're basically the A-Team with an extra member.
