Hey my brothers! I'm from Fiji and love watching your traditional ceremonies...I just love to learn more about your culture and see how can i spot some similarities e.g Fiji Kava ceremony,etc... Now can a samoan explain what is the purpose of this ceremony? Who were the people speaking? And what is the purpose of sticks they brought into the ceremony? And many more? Can a Samoan brother explain please? Thank you! Always loved your culture! #FromFiji..
😊 This is call a Ava ceremony, where the host village/church etc is welcoming the visitors. One half u have the hosts sitting, other side u have the visitors sitting. Those who are talking are all Matai (Chiefs)... also known as Tulafale. They're basically acknowledging one another.... alot more to it as well. But thats the basics of it.
