I think existing CSS system should be stopped and new system should be introduced , technocrats of each field should be hired and trained them accordingly.
There are no differences between CSS and PMS assistant commissioners; however, those who take the PMS exam must wait longer for promotions than those who take the CSS exam.

Sir can we go abroad for one or two years study after doing CSS if we take leave for one or two years🤔 and can we go abroad on visit visa for a week or two
Yes Dear, you can continue your study after doing CSS. But you'll not be able to attend your regular classes, therefore you'll have to study from an open university. Hope you understand!

After passing the written exam and clearing all the interviews and psychological assessments, the successful candidate is appointed as a 17th scale officer and the officer is promoted to 18th scale after a service of around 5 years. After serving for 7 years on 18th scale, the officer is promoted to 19th scale. The next scale which is scale-20 requires necessary training at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) which are located in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. Further, five-month training is mandatory to be promoted to 21st scale. This training is steered at Administrative Staff College, Lahore. In this scale thread, 22nd is the last scale to which a person can be promoted.
