Texas roads are not adapted for winter weather. I would just stay home. Texas doesn't salt/plow their roads, so them highways about to be one big ol ice-rink. Texans barely know how to drive in the rain. Please just stay home and stay safe and warm.

Texas roads aren't made to handle the cold. Looks like normal January weather. But I agree the government is working hard to control everything that has any impact on our lives, including weather.
If southern Oklahoma is extimated to get 4-5 inches of snow, why are they only under a Winter Storm Watch when we are getting less but are under a warning?
Because OK gets way more snow than North TX. Their infrastructure is prepared for it, and so are the people. Here in TX people aren't used to it and act like morons. People in TX are remembering February of 2021. The govt is doing this to allow people to stay in, so they don't get caught up in 100-car pileups.

I love how I got a notification for weather in a state I don't live in, nor am I near.
The ground isn’t frozen, the high temps are just above freezing. It’s not going to stick. It might be pretty to look at though.
