I managed to draw a perfect rattlesnake skin around a cylinder one time. And carved it into pipe rock . I used two slight-S curves ing away from each other direction and it made tiny scales on the top and went around and down weaving them together and got bigger as it went and just turned into the belly scales if you had your curves right .
This channel is like Oceania's alternate version of The Joy of Painting, you've developed and maintained a nice and consistent style over the years. Educational and a pleasure to watch (including the macho artist videos of course!) I don't draw along or anything, but it's still interesting to hear about different techniques on all levels of difficulty. It helps to better appreciate other people's art as well
I need to figure out how to draw the eye lash of an eye-lash pit viper. Beautiful creatures, fastest striking snakes, feed on hummingbirds, and I just cant get the head detail. They live in Costa Rica but mine lives in a mural on the side of my boxing gym. I'm a beginner so any help appreciated! Do you consult? Thx.

Do you have good snake eyes? How good are you at spotting snakes in the wild? Any tips for finding snakes?
I live in a place where there are lots of snakes, or I travel to place where I hear there are lots of snakes. They are not easy to spot.
