well it's kinda different. Mainland China believes Taiwan is part of their country like a state. Taiwan over there is fighting for their independence basically. Kinda like when America was fighting British for independence. So of course the Taiwanese would be salty about the Chinese while the Chinese (thinking they own the place) don't care as long as they are Chinese
