I use to live in Pleasanton and hike Little Yosemite all the time. Miss that place. Do be careful though, mountain lions and coyotes inhabit the park. I was followed by a mountain lion one evening as the sun was was setting. I was walking down the main trail, heading back to my car when I saw the big cat on the other side of the creek to my left, walking on the hillside. It kept looking over at me and would stop walking when I would stop to look at it. I kept calm but walked at a faster pace than normal. When I got down the trail to where flattens out till you get to the parking lot, the cat climbed higher on the hillside to see me but then took off. I felt some relief but stayed hyper vigilant till I was in my car.

Is Fall a good time to visit?
Definitely! This is my facorite park. Might be sparse on wildflowers though, obviously.
