Janice, you must have been so anxious ahead of that proposed conversation with Dan's wife, but you did it. That was very brave of you in the sense that you had no way of knowing what she wanted or how it would turn out for either of you, but you did it anyway. Given your evident distress in recalling the last time you saw him, I feel you are still doubting that you helped Dan's wife by telling her about it, but please, to help yourself, try to take *her* word for it. You did, and thank you for talking about it here, too. It's important.
