Just checked mine, no damage to the body, a swift email to schumacher and they will sort you out. I think having it as a shelf queen is a good idea, your classic is allready race ready, and you can only run one at a time. Im starting my build and it will be getting run, ive waited far to long to scuff up a works chassis 😂
This seems a difficult problem. I see another option. Just ship the whole lot to me and I will take care of it. Like I need another challenge or three :).
The re-re roller drive shafts from the re-re Cougar Works wont fit the re-re Cougar Classic. They are too short. Schumacher are aware of this and are working on a way of using the new drive shafts with the Cougar Classic.
Great video I would race the new kit and put your originals back to original , the new kit will be stronger and if you wanted to could handle different motor options, and it’s just easier for parts if need to replace anything. Have a friend who was after a Tamiya buggy and got a vintage one he built it and it broke down the plastic had got brittle from age and by the time he replaced everything was almost a new buggy , grasshopper I believe it was
I just ordered mine! Australian viewer, this will be my first Schumacher, I have kyosho’s and yokomo’s. Super excited about this one tho, as I know everyone is a big fan. So definitely jumping on the bandwagon here. The box art if epic, pink and retro vibe all the way! Let me know any building tips I hear building a foam box around the rear diff keeps it clean and rock free?
This is a great race buggy above all else, so the build isn’t as nice as the Kyosho’s but stick with it as the final result is super cool. This is way easier than than the XLS but still, it can be a bit jarring.
@ yes. I had to miss out the lower washer to get them on. It looked more like a washer manufacturering error as they had huge burrs on the ID and OD making them thicker.
Crazy how fast they are out over there. No idea when we will see them here in Australia! Last 2 cars I have bought Super Astute and Plazma both still not released here in Aus so bought them overseas.. REALLY want one of these.

You are making my head hurt. Just build it, race it (on carpet) once, make a vid for us to watch all that. After that, you can faff around swapping bits and pieces.

I have similar problems as you when it comes to setting up vintage runners vs shelf queens….talk about first world prolems!
Got mine this morning too. Very excited to build this one.

Looks so good. I'm with you on the slick look of the Cougar 2, it screams "Race me !" 😊 Thanks for that unboxing 🤝
So many cougar models 😍 im going to build my as a queen then upgrade my others cars with the awesome 👌 new upgrades available 🥳
Its ok 👍
This is definitely on my wish list!! Thanks for the info Gav👍
Awesome!

Thanks for the info, I was about to order them
We have the extensions sorted and will be out soon 😊
Step aside Team Associated and your RC10 rere. Cougar 2 will get my cash for the next one !! 😂
The transmission is fine up to as low as 10.5 T, Matthew Tunks said in his video.
That's nice. I was getting tired of having to pre-order things months in advance.
I think light pink on the body would look great. Maybe do a two tone with light blue

@ I run all my builds hahaha not what everyone does I know but I want to have the full experience.
Is it still a bit awkward to build (requires soldering on the ball joints?)
No soldering required 😊
Build the Cougar 2 Classic as a shelf queen, and sell the parts for the restoration car, leaving you with the two cars (shelf queen and racer).
Yeah this ^
Buy 2 more kits to use as parts for your current race buggy, and build the shelf queen
looks good ,they are playing safe by using a non carbon battery strap ,non conductive lowers the risk
Schumacher sell a carbon one
Is there a gear diff option for this re re? Seems like the ball diff will just get smoked if you plan to run this on high grip.
The kit diff is just fine, thoroughly tested on high grip 😊
Check the front shock tower. The mounting holes to the bulkhead were a mile off on mine. I had to slot them to make them fit. 😡
And mine struggled with it. And also the c hubs had to be shaved down to get the c clips on

Have you installed it infront of the bulkhead holes or behind the
@tunkstune9373 behind ?
@@loiismustdiecheck the manual, it’s infront of the upper screw holes in the bulkhead not behind like the mk1 or cougar classic

We haven’t had the Plazma or Super Astute in the UK yet. ETA after Xmas now.
@@RCKickschannel Same here tho, I bought them both from HK... I'm thinking Feb for the Cougar works.
They did that with the procat different bobyshell colours. Go with the original colour.
Who makes the wing on the black one?
JC Racing
@RCKickschannel Thank you!
Just checked my body and its perfect, maybe you can get a replacement?
Might drop them a call
Would you like some ice cream on that waffle? 😜😜

@@RCKickschannel good one! I cannot miss the opportunity for a 'dad joke'....sorry!
Thinking about a Hobbywing Max 80 with a 3300kv G3, what do you think? Thanks
Skip the extra kit and get a RCKicks Hat from their merch shop.
I know what you can do with it. Give it to me 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe I’ll Raffall one in the new year
@@RCKickschannel that would be awesome
Looks good but probably give it a miss this time!
One shelf queen and one racer with every option. Get rid of the rest of the parts, including the spare carbon chassis.
No damage on mine.
Just buy another and have 3 its only £ and the vids will pay for it ;)
Sure TH-camr will cover the shipping lol
Just got mine, not sure i like the included CAT wheels in it.
Another option is to give one to me since I can't afford any 😂
I might do a Raffall for one in the new year
Just run the wheels off your race kit, and everything else is parts! You can't take them with you in the end.
No but I wil sell a load off in seven years before I move and shelf queens are fun to collect and easier to sell down the line.

Loads of Cougar track content already on the show. th-cam.com/play/PLLRCQ2LgNjbb7ZUaB3kpHdVIIdKUw9dPU.html
@@RCKickschannel fair call. Pretty sure I've watched it all too :)
