Hey thanks, i’m excited too! Oh yeah, all that “in-between stuff” can turn a bad lead, bad swap, into a victory. The most important thing to remember (especially if you have a bad swap but your starter can easily kill the pokemon they swapped to) is that your bad swap should either kill their pokemon or you need to die with their pokemon having a lot of health left. Their best case scenario is to win the swap-in match with a tiny bit of health. That way your pokemon can’t come back in and farm. Bunch of little things like that i’ll cover in some upcoming videos
I hit legend for the first time last season after bouncing around 2500s all season by powering up a Lantern, Medicham and Shadow A-slash during catch cup. All the teams I faced at higher ELO were 100% meta anyway, but that is truly the best way to hit legend. Good video.
Catch Cup got me my first Veteran 2 seasons ago. Halloween Cup got me to 2992 (and first expert) last season. My #1 reason for not hitting legend: Halloween Cup isn’t the standard (oh yeah and Palossand, Chargebug and Wormatrash in the back)
I hit legend a few seasons ago.. the cowboy outfit one lol it kinda felt like luck bc i was always stuck in Ace but as soon as I broke through to vet I hit Leg in like 2 days. But it’s nice to hear that charm takes skill bc shadow granbull is my favorite to use and it’s really strong but not super easy to use effectively but I know most of its match ups like the back of my hand. Oh and I am totally building a toxic XL heavy little catch cup team
Oh yeah, that’s what I try to convey to everyone who is struggling at 2,500 and feels that 3,000 is way far away… once you get past 2,500 “wild west” it gets much easier until the 2,800 range. But yeah, it still takes skill. Just like everything else. For fun, I love love LOVE to switch out the fast move. A good example of this is Cottonee in the little cup and Granbull in great/ultra premier (back in the day). If it was my cottonee vs altaria, I wouldn’t attack and watch them switch to something else. I would swap too, but they would have no idea that my cottonee has razor leaf instead of charm. Same thing for granbull. It’s a fun alternative and confuses people.

I didn't even start the video, ill never hit legend. I do try and season by season i slowly improve. Last season made it to my highest of 2500. This season just stuck 2000-2100. Work many hours and have a family, its difficult for me. Great videos i always look forward to them.
Hopefully in the future, you will hit legend. There are two “wild west“ ELO ranges and near the end of the season around 2500 is one and the other can be found right at legends. Hopefully we will be able to boost you past 2500 and then hit legend, if you ever have any questions, I am here for you
Hey Lars in your previous video you mentioned that galar zigzagoon was to built in the little cup catch cup . Is It spawning I'm the wild ? If not where can j find it ? I can't find any
It will spawn in the wild, usually whenever an event finishes up. There were some a bit earlier in the season, but luckily we have another month + 1/2 to find them or have an event with them in it. I’ll keep you posted! Thanks for the question!! : )
Good question! It’s constantly changing (I don’t really like it to be be honest) but I’m usually using a charjabug/Skeledirge/S Vic OR a Charjabug/Poliwrath/Dragonair. There’s always going to be something that can easily beat your team even with a bad lead, but it’s important to find one that happens the least amount of times.
I will not hit legend, because my last Pokemon ist chargeabug and the opponent has fire...For Example. This happens so many Times that you loose more Points day by day then you got. 2:3 minus 20. 3:2 plus 8 Points.

Is there usually any particular ELO range near the end of the season that you get stuck at?

Yeah palossand can be rough. For how low it was ranked on PvPoke there were quite a few out and about

There’s always a little bit of luck sprinkled in, but yes it takes skill to keep moving up the ladder. Hope all is well my friend! : )

For my reason, one of my keys is luck, when you count or known every fast move, but you cannot switch or wrong predicted charge move. GG
