Why do we need a "Last Adventure" type story for the Seventh Doctor? As anticlimatic as it was, we already saw it in the 1996 movie, complete with regeneration scene. It's not like the Sixth's where there was a huge missing gap.
For fun and to give the Seventh Doctor a last hurrah and big adventure/finale that the 1996 movie did not. Something similar to War Games, The End of Time and Time of the Doctor. Even though the 1996 movie did hold a fitting ending for the Seventh Doctor. I imagine Big Finish will do the same with the Eighth Doctor despite Night of the Doctor.
To address what led up to the Seventh Doctor walking right into a shoot out in the movie. If the Tardis always takes him where he needs to go, did he then need to go to meet his demise at the shoot out? or had someone tampered with the Tardis and sent him to his death?
Something so affecting in McCoy’s delivery of the line _’ . . . but nothing broke my heart more than losing my very best friend!’_
I wonder if the 8th doctor will get one aswell

@@danakscully82 It was because of the Master tampering with the Tardis
@@sajedchoudhury2057 oh! You’re right! I had completely repressed that weird wormy version of the Master 😅
