He was my trainer and became a good friend of mine. He suffered from addiction to hardcore drugs and after many years relapsed and recently went MIA for 2 weeks until his wife found his body in his apartment. It was an overdose, Doug never mentioned suicidal thoughts and those who knew him know how open he was about his drug addiction and how much he loved life. He was a beacon of light, and someone made an impact on thousands of people at Golds and online. May his soul rest in peace. And sister, please keep in mind that you need to have someone you trust to let in your life to share your feelings and help you out of feeling loneliness. We are social creatures and like Aristotle said, “Whosever is delighted in solitude, is either a wild beast or a god.” May God the almighty bless you with happiness and guide you out of your depression and loneliness.
Just so unexpected. He seemed to have it all in my eyes. A career, friends, a spouse..you just never know. I really appreciate your kind words. Comments like this really help me during these times. 🙏🏼🖤✨
I feel like feeling irreparable is linked to the decision more than feeling sad based on it generally being a decision people make coming out of the worst of their depression than going into it. Feeling irreparable is unsettling when you've reached a place in your life that is far away from the tools you need to repair your life. I remember when my hometown started changing around me I realized I had to accommodate the loss of valued parts of me for the rest of my life. I feel depending on where you are personally and socially in life when a realization like that hits it can make all the difference as to how you'll deal with your feelings. That's why I would give anyone the advice we've gotta get away from the mindset that we will fail others and be a burden.
It’s what I always say to people having money doesn’t make you happy it can help but we have to be happy and live the way we want for ourselves. He probably had everything he could want but the pressure behind that made him a wreck. Key is to not be stuck doing a job that you don’t love no matter the amount you’re making. Rip 🙏🏾
@@ProgressWithChristina I believe you've made the right decision, easy for me to say I know. Consider the consequences of remaining in that job, I believe the eventual outcome would have been far worse than all the apprehension and fear you may be feeling right now. What you did takes courage and it's that sort of strength that'll see you through despite the turmoil you're probably feeling right now. Take care.
If anyone reads this that is thinking of suicide, psychadellics helped me. Life can be really dark sometimes and it's important to get yourself the help you need if you can
Keep your chin up Chris. Things aren't always what they seem.Life is a struggle for all, no matter what they say. My friend Jacob killed himself. I've told you before. Each day is a blessing and please keep up the good work ❤.
