    It's sad for the newest fighters that some fighters before them, had the opportunity to get so many belts!

      But to keep it it’s harder now, so it has more meaning in my opinion if you manage to hold it

    I think it’s a lot more personal to have 1 belt which you defend and then get stuff added to it rather than having a ton of the same looking belt, which is a waste of money to constantly be making new belts instead of doing the simple thing and just using a couple belts overall.
    While I don’t like the design of the new belt I think it’s a better overall but also wish it could have been something more noticeable than just a small Ruby. Maybe a larger gem on the center plate idk

      Good point. For the Ruby I agree that something more noticeable should be used.

    The simpleness of the new one looks cool imo

    • @MMALAB
      @MMALAB  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I must admit it is practical and simple.

    I'll bet those early tournament belts are worth many times more than the gold they contain just as a collectible.

      Yes I think the same!

    I’d prefer to get a new belt for every defence rather then a gem it make your hard work and dedication look more worth it to see so many belts you’ve had to fight hard for rather then one belt with a gem every defence

    • @MMALAB
      @MMALAB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I think the same. It will be more rewarding and will put the fighters to be fully committed in the game.

      The old system is more rewarding I believe. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

    The new system makes so much more sense, and it looks cooler to have a single nelt they may get scuffed or dented over time. Plusmthey addnstuff to it. Yeah it could be budget cuts but it's the idea that matters. It could be made of plastic but you still have to earn it.

    Jon Jones must have the Most belts... He has like 12 of the old belts and 2 of the new belts. One of his new light heavyweight belts has 3 Rubies on it... So following the old system he has almost 20 belts😂😂😂

    Not getting a new belt would piss me off lol. Even if the new belt is worth more, that’s hundreds of thousands of dollar worth gold and jewelry being lost for a champion that defends a bunch of times. And as a champ I’d wanna give away the belts to trainers and family members as a thank you for their support but with this new belt, you get a ruby added on which doesn’t even stick out as it’s so small

    well, the new system kinda looks like a trouble to me.

      At least they finally settled down to a system kind of fair for everyone.

    Cant stand the way the UFC always acting like they on the brink of bankruptcy. Would it hurt to give them a 10k belt everytime?

    • @MMALAB
      @MMALAB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes definitely, I think you are right! Such a giant and act like this and the same time the business is thriving!

    Do they get to take the titles to thier forever that they won even if they lose the title against someone will they still keep the title with them forever that they won in the first place?

    • @MMALAB
      @MMALAB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dana White said it was getting to expensive so now they only get one belt that they have to defend. If the Champ loses, he still get to keep his belt, and the new Champ gets a new belt.

    The new belt is a much better representation of the UFC than the old belt. The old belt was dull and boring.
